This guy will be remembered forever.
His gravestone will be a giant 26 ft Jervalin in his own Master Chief Armor with no helmet lifting an Elite Ultra, choking the life from him staring into his eyes as the covenant light falls into darkness. He's The Monument to All Our Sins.
Nicely written haha
nah give it a week and he gets forgotten
@@animuchan6136 just because people are going to stop talking about it next week doesn’t mean everyone is going to forget what JerValiN did.
@@animuchan6136 What are you talking about? This man will never be forgotten. The entire Halo community watched his Livestream. Goatrope, Joker, Monopoli, Pedrogas, Naked Eli, they all have achievements named after them. I bet when the newest Halo comes out the developers will make an achievement just for Jervalin. I hope it's no Halo 2 Laso deathless achievement lol but it will be hard as hell to obtain.
Who?
"It couldn't have happened to a better guy" I have to agree completely. His family's reaction is really the perfect cherry in the top of this historic moment in gaming history...
I love how Halo 2 turns into a straight up horror game on LASO
Somebody in his chat put “Still bald tho” 💀
Yoooo☠️
Spartans are bald shaven. Whoever thought that was a burn can't meme for shit.
@@DigitalDNA wtf are you talking about
@xsct878 Jervailin is a bald Spartan cupcake. Spartans in the lore can grow hair, but they're shaven bald. At least pre 343 Era, as military doctrine would require. Thus, whoever made that comment in the chat cant meme for shit, because neither they or you realize this simple fact.
@@DigitalDNA ok, but they’re not “memeing”, it’s just a dumb jokey twitch comment that you’re way overanalysing and getting far too pressed over, maybe you’re also bald?
I’m sure he’s glad he didn’t beat it at $5000 but I’m sure he’s disappointed he didn’t wait until it was $100000
That's true, but he also runs the risk of someone else finishing it. Which would also be disappointing!
I actually finished it but realize I was not streaming
@@ilikeanimals5015 I also beat it on release day of halo 2 but I was 7 so I wasn’t recording it
Yea I did this when my aunts dads grandmothers best friends son worked at bungie got me a beta version if the game year before it released so I was not recording.. such a shame..
I actually did it twice in a row with a guitar hero controller that I strummed with my dong while submerged in a tank full of piranhas and jellyfish. It's just too bad I wasn't recording ☹️
The support from his family and the community was the best part of this. Watching the global HALO community come together and support our champion. The money could not have gone to a better man. HE EARNED IT!!!
JerValiN made history.
Man the ending when his family came in was so wholesome it brought a tear to my eye.
Definitely was crying from his family's reaction. So wholesome, and so deserving for everyone! Such an incredible piece of history to witness 🔥🔥🙌
Didn't expect to be cutting onions on a challenge run vid, but the kid blowing up got my feels real hard too
Just so beautiful watching his family come in and hug him with excitement 💕
I'm sorry but if you think this is "history"....
@@tyrous5584 I'm sorry but if you take internet comments that seriously.... 🤣
Everything is "history," and this challenge certainly became newsworthy enough to be a part of history a little more than either of us probably will, lol.
@@tyrous5584 it literally is history, though. How important you personally consider an event doesn't change whether or not it's history.. right? I couldn't care less who can spin a basketball on their finger the longest, but someone has recorded their name down in history for doing so, along with millions of other arbitrary tasks.
So wait this is the same dude who did the first LASO? So he’s basically still the only dude that’s done it live-streamed?
The first time JerValiN did it, it was true LASO. Charlie's challenge was every skull but envy.
Yes. He’s the master of halo 2 challenge runs.
He does lots of deathless LASO runs
@@ion6848 its harder without envy since you can't get a overshield
There can only be one
Watching this history in gaming get made was seriously one of the most entertaining things I've witnessed all year. Jervalin is a legend and Charlie is awesome for issuing this challenge and reinvigorating the entire Halo community. xD
AHAHAHAHAHAHA HISTORY
@@tyrous5584 lmfao you okay? 💀
@@lucid05. bro was unhinged
I mean this clown is a nobody who didn't make any history.
This is truly the most halo 2 challenge ever
It would've been better if penguinz0 had given more money. He's a multi-millionaire and he only gave 20k. That's like an average money person only giving like $2 for some sh1t they really care about.
@DavidJones31, He didn't even have to give money chillax bro.
@@roadrider720 Damned if you do, damned if you don’t lmao
@@David_Jones8112 LASO deathless was a challenge before it had a money incentive (for 18 years). 20,000 is more than plenty... Quit being a brat
@@David_Jones8112 bruh wdym 20k can go a long way
Legend says Jervalin could have done this run day 1 release but he was waiting for the run to be of legal age.
That’s corny as hell to comment that
That last fight was like rng jesus and rng satan having a dice battle.
I dont watch speedruns, deathless or even halo anything but this shit got me teary eyed, it's like straight out of a movie.
You must be 5 years old then. Poor baby
@@mihaimercenarul7467 I'd hate to be as stuck up as you geez xD
@@ReckoningCanadian I mean I would hate being you, crying over a nobody speed running a game. You must be 5 years old, poor baby.
Never thought I'd hear about someone overclocking their fucking 360 by having three fans on it, lol.
Bro I used to do that shit back in the day 😂
Just keeping it cool and safe from overheating. No overclocking has been done, or can be done on a 360
Bro back in the day i was watching those diy videos, and my god some rigs were amazing.
Yeah I don't think it's being overclocked, just old and overworked and probably has tons of dust in it since he's never taken it apart
Think he keeps it on at all times. If he turns it off he has to collect all the skulls again because Halo 2 is too ancient to save them lol.
i have never been so sweaty watching someone else get a WR, this is actually insane! love to Moist and JerValiN!
i know im a year late but it really means a lot to me personally that my favorite game of all time has still remained insanely relevant even this many years later with an extremely devoted and passionate playerbase.
Anyone else just absolutely blown away that this guy is playing on the 360, that is almost the most impressive part of all of this
I think he is playing on the og xbox. That's what Halo 2 came out on
@@DeepWaterMite30 No it's on a 360.
It came out on the original Xbox, but it still works on the 360.
@@DeepWaterMite30 tbh I feel like the og Xbox is more reliable than the 360, atleast the launch 360
@@fatchicken518 original controller is ass tho.
I've been waiting for this! Kept seeing youtube video titles like 'Why Charlie's challenge is impossible' etc. I knew someone would get it. It just takes that one run.
the high charity skip was the only thing I couldnt do when I was a kid. I used to try it for hours and had a separate save file to practice. Literally couldn't do it after 5 years of playing h2. I loved watching every bit of this, and thanks for giving the community an opportunity to see the amazement of this game in all its glory.
I love how the intensity of this has him talking to the AI like they are actually being controlled by people 😂
His family told him good job with the elation made me tear up.. gg man awsome dude
the halo 2 soundtrack went perfectly with this challenge. how it started, and how it ended. amazing!
When tribute started playing at the end literal Goosebumps man
GG! WHAT A LEGEND!
Someone said raid him and he said "I'm not finished streaming yet." Lmao
he deserves that 20k for playing that much Halo in such a short period of time. I would lose my mind
Ive always wanted to do a 4 player LASO with my friends but they all said I was crazy, I may just be but this man is just as crazy
Welcome to capitalism.
This is the world the left wants
Jervalin is an actual beast
MrJervalin 6000 woah-oh.
Meh not really. If he does that in fortnite then I’d be impressed
@@SoggySlopster goddamn, bro. you're in every comment straight up hating on this dudes major achievement. you're so jealous, holy shit. that's embarrassing
@@SoggySlopster i know this is definitely a joke but the fact that i know without a doubt someone out there believes this terrifies me
@@HappyDayZ0 Don't know if he is actually joking or not. In another reply, he's talking about how it would only be impressive if he did it glitchless.
JerValin is the true Vidmaster Supreme. This man had to become Master Chief in real life basically to do this challenge. The shear skill and luck on his side is astounding. He finished the fight in the best way possible. He’ll go done in Halo history like the Noble 14 and the guy who got recon from getting headshot by a traffic cone.
JerValin IS the Master Chief. Everybody else who attempted this Challenge were just the Fellow Spartans who looked like him from Halo 5.
I hope 343 does smth for Jervalin like how Elden Ring gave Let Me Solo Her a sword & recognition
To be fair, Jervalin said fuck playing on that 343 version, we're going old school Bungie Halo
this is crazy because after 18 years dedication found a new skip in the game. that is what is really impressive to me, completely changing the speedrun. imagine how many of your favorite games may have a skip yet to be discovered
are we gonna ignore the ungodly monstrocity-like sounds critikal made at 1:37, he sounded like actual flood for a second bro
I try to ignore it every time he does it because unless I happen to have tissue or a towel in my hand, I get all MoistCr1tikal all up in me pantaloons: it may sound like actual flood, but it sure feels like it for me
@@MooseKnuckleWarrior poetic
Man, I remember the age of LASO and SLASO runs. Jervalin is a DEMON for doing SLASO-E Deathless.
Actually, that should be this dude's permanent title, on his documents, on his _tombstone_ when that day comes: "Jervalin, Deathless."
I would take the pilgrimage
28:14 que Breaking Benjamin
This was awesome to watch thanks for the upload
I was so hyped for him and then his family came in and that was just so wholesome and made this even more feelgood, this was amazing.
Really excited for Charlie's next challenge. Loved watching streamers play this and hope to have a similar experience again
eesh that music floating in at the end is extra powerful
My heart was in my ass for that entire High Charity skip
obviously the next challenge will be all halo's laso deathless back to back
Thats just evil😭
Breaking Benjamin kicking in right as he beats Gravemind is so hype lol
Straight up crying on the couch and my sister is looking at me like I’m brain dead 😂😂😂
he now owns bungie
Im surprised Halo 2 PC Gearbox port wasnt an active game for this challenge. I sorta understand why, but id figured it would be another alternative to attempt the challenge
"Okay but now do it glitchless"
dude oozess halo wouldnt want anyone else
watching bro make almost half my yearly salary in less than an 8 hour shift
mans a legend. he deserves the prize.
What a beautiful journey Charlie. Props.
"clips" 😂 Long ass clip. The end is so wholesome
His mic quality is actually so nostalgic tho
HOW WAS THIS 2 YEARS AGO ALREADY
They should make this an achievement. They already recognized him in an Instagram post, so they are definitely aware.
Considering that less than 2,000 people have even completed halo 2 laso since MCC came out and it took 18 years for one person to do it deathless, I really don’t think making it an achievement would be a good idea
It already is an achievement in our hearts
Still remember joining jervailins stream while he was on the Heretic, shit was so amazing to see
Someone get this man connected with 343 or bungie (whievers in charge now) and get this man in the books
It's told that the Halo 2 Laso no death challenge is harder than just doing the campaign irl
It would have been so funny if he was like “double or nothing”
Imagine if he just straight up ran goliath after this
Why isn't there any clips of Critikal watching him clear the elevator part of Gravemind? Wasn't that the most important part? It's literally the part of the level that nobody was able to clear.
I like how this hour long video was posted to Charlie's Clips channel lol
who ever said this is niche clearly doesnt know the history behind this game.
It is niche. I mean speed running and challenges just are, because they take "specialists" to complete them. That's why it's only $20k over 18 years, and that's like $3 a day.
¿What if Jervalin is the real Master Chief helping himself in the past...? being the first one is not a simple game, this matrix is serious.
someone to play h3 & h5? my gt: Jah aim
caught this dude's stream by chance the other day
he and his co-op partner have an insane lack of chemistry. the co-op partner wouldn't stop talking at length about how much he needed to "diarrhea" (verb) and then explained at length afterwards how much his ass burned and itched. he also blew up at a chatter who called him out for talking about his liquid poop surprise.
a few minutes afterwards, jervain got killed by a brute that was stuck by a grunt, and they both crashed out hard.
it was a trainwreck almost on par with rocko's quest at sgdq
Should hire this dude to put together strats as coach for the Moist eSports team. Like just have him looking for the new Meta in every game and adjust Speedrun strats to help with these kinds of challenges. I mean, you start signing people that have done something big to even made up positions that can actually provide value to other players or teams as well as lending their names to the roster. I was never into eSports teams after I quit competing but I love moist like I love my favorite NFL team. Big names help make big teams even when they don't play.
Completed a legendary run with only a few skulls on after playing it for seriously like half a year on and off, had to take long breaks between missions because my sanity was depleted. This guy is an absolute beast!
When is Charlie going to do challenges like this and the speed running challenges again?
imagine someone completing the trilogy of halo doing this challenge.
Any folks who attempt it without eventually completing it would be seriously putting their health at risk...
I'd hate to see someone suddenly lose their life to gamer rage 😔
The guy totally deserves that $20,000
This is what the internet is for. Not tiktock
It makes me so happy to see others suffering from the same nonsense that I have recently 😂 This game is funny sometimes and not "haha" funny but FU funny.
halo 2 will forever be my most favroute halo game ever
a friend sent a link to a post about this a while ago however all it was was "beat halo 2 without dying, win 5,000$" so out of laughs we played it on legendary and between the two of us died once, damn jackel snipers, didnt know that not only was it a real thing but that no one has ever done it before
There are those who said this day would never come.
*What are they to say now?*
Probably something along the lines of "Now what?"
More importantly... Than just 20 k....
Is getting this recognition... Getting seen like this
bro watching charlie's face change when he saw everyone flood in and support Jervalin.
am I crying at a man winning a video game challenge? you bet your ass i am! Let’s Go!!!!
how humble to inform people in the title how much money was lost
give this man the name gamer of the century
343 or bungie should’ve given him a trophy with “demon” written on it or something
This is still just amazing and one of the biggest gaming achievements
Just beating halo 2 on legendary was epic enough for me the first time this is goddamn impressive my childhood game lives on in history because of all this
One day there will be someone who beats it without any glitches or skips.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System; Nuts of steel deathless mining laser only next?
Dont really watch speedruns, but I remember how hard this part of the game was on legendary.
This guy is now in the history books as the first Halo 2 LASO runner.
I'm watching this instead of the Super Bowl
“HIGHER CHARITY SKIPP!!!”😤😤😤
1:15:30
There you go.
what skull is making the enemies blow up when they're killed? I played the laso playlist on h2a and that didn't happen
He played it on Halo 2 classic, so the grunt birthday skull causes plasma explosions instead of the grunt-confetti effect that it has on H2A/other games
og grunt birthday skull is still in MCC I believe, also, it doesn't affect just grunts, it effects every npc killed with a headshot. Even dead bodies.
Yep this is halo history!!! This man deserves every dollar!
I would love to see someone try extremely unforgiving classic DooM mod called "Hideous Destructor", play through the entire Doom 1 and 2 without dying on Nightmare difficulty
New challenge: beat the Valkyrie queen in god of war 4 on “give me god of war” using the worst armor, no resurrection stones, and without using the boy.
i come back to this video every once in a while. so wholesome
We need another challenge!!!
And I think you should do like 5k for whoever finishes first on anniversary. Would be fun to watch
Tbh, it looks like he might have marked his monitor to know where the crosshairs are, but I would do the exact same thing. It's a fucking amazing run
The crosshairs so move slightly from the center (based on what weapon you use) so I would still say this is the best LASO run. He has taken all the info from other runners and the experience from his own runs to make it work almost flawlessly.
no shit sherlock haha
@@SavingSoulsMinistries just making an explanation for people that don't Halo 2 mechanics like most of us do. No need to be an asshole, asshole.
If I lost 20k I’m losing my life lol 😂
More challenging bounties would be dope
like watching the moon landing for the first time
The official king of halo
Still To This Day More Hyped Fore This Then Halo Infinite
