SCENARIO VIII - FIRESPARK MINES - TOME IV

You survive still, against all odds. Soon, a near-endless lake of boiling lava stretches out before you as far as the eye can see, spewing smoke and molten rock like geysers. Watching your surroundings, you notice a thick black cloud of what appears to be smoke, veiling the ceiling as reddish-white arcs of lightning pierce through its blackened, opaque form.
Farther within the opening, you find a safe enough passage around the lava, which you decide to follow in order to persevere in your quest. In spite of the ambient noise, you could swear to be hearing a slow, deep and regular breathing noise. Despite the bright light emitted by the molten rock flowing below, the edges of the cavern and beyond are shrouded in darkness from which unholy creatures crawl out to come after you once more.
