As far as being just thawed out... there are a lot of people that wrap themselves in a little bubble of particular experiences and miss out on a whole lot of stuff that's out there. Annie Lennox (and all her vocal skills), David A. Stewart with some synthesizers, and a tall, cold cocktail with an umbrella is all I need for a nice evening. "Here Comes the Rain Again," "Would I Lie to You" and "Sisters are Doin' it For Themselves" (the last one with Aretha Franklin) are some other goodies from The Eurythmics. In the early 1980s, and even the late 1970s some, that "different-sounding" electronic stuff was pretty popular. It wasn't called techno back then but synth-pop or technopop and performers like Depeche Mode, OMD, Gary Numan, the Flying Lizards, Laurie Anderson, Wall of Voodoo, Devo, and Ultravox had big hits with it. Other hits the Eurythmics had were "Here Comes the Rain Again" and "Love is a Stranger." In the mid-1980s, the Eurythmics moved away from electronic stuff to more guitar-based sounds with hits like "Would I Lie to You?" Annie even dueted with Aretha Franklin in the mid-eighties on "Sisters are Doing It For Themselves."

You have good taste my friend. The only qualifier I would throw in is that with Ultravox it has to be their first 3 albums with John Fox, particularly the first one produced by Brian Eno. I think they died when Mij Ure joined. But that's just my personal opinion.
But that is my "Freedom Of Choice" listening to my "Mexican Radio" with my girl "Enola Gay" as we count our "Money" in our "Cars"....

I'd really love to see your reaction to Shakespeare's Sister singing Stay.
The Eurythmics & Annie Lennox's solo work are all amazing. You could pick a random song from either & I'm sure you'd like it just as much.

This song of course was my first introduction to Annie Lennox and her awesome voice as well as the what we called “ New Wave” at that time. Bands were starting to introduce some greats sounds.

Yes, it's Annie in the background, too. She's brilliant. When you've followed Eurythmics down the rabbit hole you'll have to dig around for her Solo work. Totally Genius.

My favorites are when she was solo. Annie Lenox, Walking on Broken Glass. And her version of Walking in a Winterwonderland.

Annie Lennox and her romantic partner of many years Dave Stewart [guy in video] made up The Eurythmics. When they split, she went solo and created some even more beautiful music. Her song WHY is a must listen. Still makes me cry. Love your channel- you're so ebullient and fun to watch
