Genuinely, it's really refreshing to have a protagonist who isn't motivated by "I'll show them" type bitterness or revenge. I think that's the "heart" that separates this manga from others in its genres.
Tbh, about half of the “kicked out of hero’s party” are like that. What’s more refreshing is it broke away from the usual generic formula for this kind of story: 1. Mc gets kicked out for hero’s selfish reasons (hates mc for no reason / wants to replace mc with a girl for harem reasons / somehow thinks the mc does nothing and is leeching off them / etc) 2. The mc is “secretly” op and has been carrying the entire party (or sometimes guild) 3. The mc goes on their own adventure (likely forming a harem along the way - or atleast 1 love interest) 4. B story of the party falling apart because they somehow never noticed the mc was responsible for literally everything except hitting things (or that they were never strong and were getting boosted by mc) may also include them attempting petty revenge against the mc. Instead, the mc was kicked out for a legitimate reason. He presented himself as weak with the intention to be kicked out. There were no grudges and the hero’s party weren’t just being evil/stupid. The 100th group even apologized and tried to welcome him back when they realized he wasn’t as weak/helpless as they thought he was. What always got me is the supposed “hero” always being so petty and vindictive in every generic “kicked out of the hero’s party” manga. Who picked this guy to be the hero when he can’t handle enough responsibility to be trusted with a spoon? Much less the title of hero, the country’s treasured holy sword, and the job of defeating the demon lord.
@@Death2all546 "Who picked this guy to be the hero when he can’t handle enough responsibility to be trusted with a spoon?" It's usually the same bullshit as how talented football players in america get exempted from punishments at school. Simply a skewed system, at least it's realistic I suppose
I have watched two of your videos. And the effort put into editing, comedy, voice acting, and your own personal touch with animating the story thread, lol, is really wonderful. Great work.
Shield Hero has taught me even if a manga is good at first, still reserve your judgment until its completed. Upon reading this at first the story does attract me, I bookmarked it. But then I remember the many other mangas who betrayed me just by having the "fiRsT fEw ChApTerS WeRe GoOd!". I pray this one won't have similar downfall.
It a testament to the author skills and foresight on their work. Bad author end up with nonsense or having to rush arcs because they dont have enough ideas to fill a compelibg story. You can see this shift mainley on Naruto, hero academis and Sao. As is clear the initial premise was develope and invest on it before publication, but then just fail to keep up. Thus why BLEACH NEVER DIES SUCKA!
@@ericquiabazza2608 I blame the work environment really. In the world of Japanese mangaka there's no such thing as "planning ahead" (who could probably fix a lot of this problem) and that sucks.

the greatest crime of the entire isekai genre is that this manga does NOT get the credit and love it deserves. if they play it right this could legit be a true masterpiece that will last like shakespeare's and beethoven's works
Man you weren't kidding, been looking for something good to read lately, so before I even watched this video I went and quickly binge read what had already been released and wow... This manga is _real_ good! Thanks man!
Old isekai manga/LN/anime have the goal to go back to original world because there's people who love the MC and want them back. Like Idaten Jump and MAR. Which is also had the villain pull the "I am your father" card.
I may just be dumb, but does MAR even count as Isekai? Despite the quality of the isekai, whether it's good ( re zero) or bad ( insert any isekai that's bad, there's a lot of those), those stories have this feeling that is unique only to other isekai stories. Like, even tho re zero is a deconstruction ( this can be debated, so whatever you believe of it) it still has the vibe of a regular isekai, with how characters act, how the world looks on a surface lvl, the edginess, the types of species, elfs, orcs, slavery type shit thats all done in a similar way, similar magic system, whereas MAR just feels like a portal fantasy story with shounen style ingredients, tropes. This is also similar to fushigi yugi, a portal fantasy story that has shoujo tropes. I'm of the opinion that if your character dies, gets killed, is automatically sent to another world without a clear explanation, is reincarnated to another world, has op magic abilities, and just ultimately ends up staying in that world, with no chance of ever going back, if it hits any, not all of these points, then it's an isekai. A common theme among isekai is that no matter the quality, besides all those other similarities I just listed, is the fact that the MC is usually always a stand in for the audience. Most of the time, they're just a blank slate so the audience can just attach themselves to them, so because of that they never really progress unless they get more hoes or just more powerful. It's just purely to make the reader get lost in a world where they themselves can be the hero. If regular blank mc guy gets sent to another world and is just treated like a Chad, then in their minds that can be them. Besides the blank slate thing, another option is if the author makes the MC a loser that either ultimately gets put with my above point with the blank slate protagonists, or they become better people to show the audience, who mostly relates with this loser, that no matter how hopeless you are, you can strive to be better. Ultimately, isekai is a form of portal fantasy that is basically associated with the animanga space, but just because the mc is sent to another world don't make it an isekai. Is the film Boy and the Beast isekai? After all, isekai is more than just the mc getting sent to another world, it's simply just a subgenre of portal fantasy as a whole, one that has all its own tropes, even if it's good or bad. So, just going by this, I don't really consider MAR to be isekai, it's just portal fantasy. I may be wrong, but sorry for yapping.
The edit alone already won me over, the voice over, the extra juicy coloring, the animation the part where you just recap only the necessary details, but not the entire plot to not mess or ruined the ones who would read it themselves later.sheesh bro's cooking hard

Another case of people missing out on great books because of an aversion to reading books. To anyone who wants to enjoy more than the released few manga chapters, Foxaholic has been doing a great job translating the Web Novel which is now at chapter 371/552 with multiple chapters released per week.
I love how it flips a ton of stock light novel plots on their heads. It's an Isekai, but the protagonist was already an adventurer in a fantasy world and his goal was to get home. He got kicked out of multiple parties, but both instances we see has it be for something reasonable rather than the party suddenly becoming evil and turning on him. He gets a ton of "cheat skills", but he earned every single one of them, he can't use them to steamroll the story and his true value lies in his role as a porter who can manage the logistics and upkeep of the party. Finally, he gets to go back and do a "New Game+", but he does it for purely selfless reasons.
I caught up. Bro, this video was three months ago - we haven't even seen Alexis being amazing. He may not be Himmel, but I acknowledge him as a hero. We really need the recent wave of reconstruction of the Hero role in fantasy world so badly.
I remember reading this not too long ago, and boy, it was truly a fresh experience. All I thought after finishing the most recent chapters was, "DAMN, HOW ARE THEY GONNA MAKE 99 MORE OF THESE ADVENTURES?" Surely it must get old after a while, but if they don't pull an SAO and skip 10 doors near the end, the endearing experience of such a long journey only to end in a world that has never known his achievements would be a powerful and proper ending for a concept like this.
bro the writer is genius EDIT: oh and also if your looking for something like this try fff-trash class hero or something like that but the mc is evil I mean not evil but if you tell him he could go back to his world if he just killed someone he would not hesitate to annihilate that person
An isekai that I have been currently enjoying is called, “Samurai in another world”. It follows the story of a girl samurai at the end of the warring state period. Who goes to Buddha and asks him to send her to a place of strong opponents so she can die in battle. And Buddha… agrees. It’s a fun read check it out.
Just skipping through the video as i already know the manga and then get fucking gut punched hearing Lala's Lullaby from D.Gray-Man. Probably a song I will never forget considering it was my first Anime ever. Man I really wish the manga would complete quicker but well the authors health takes priority.
On the one hand, it's more likely the author never thought about it or it was cut for length. On the other hand, it's kind of awesome that Tia sees Ed again after 10 years and makes no comment whatsoever about him looking as young as when they first met. She's an elf, that's normal for her. After years of isolation she wouldn't have needed to remember that humans show their age so much faster than elves. Also, she's just so friendly that she gets caught up in seeing Ed again and doesn't brain. Such a good pupper. Funny that you mention wanting to go home as a motivation you'd like to see explored more _because_ too many MCs are lonely orphans. There was a period where every darn protagonist had the sole motivation of wanting to go home, but never explored it. This lead to reams of flat characters who gained everything they ever wanted and chose to throw it away because it wasn't "normal." Even I'm getting too acclimatized to lonely nobodies, despite my initial relief.
yo, this is a video that had a lot of effort put in. Not like the others who use tts, lengthy 30min+ of just reading of the text bubbles etc. this has personal touch to it. your voice is really interesting, the way you edit, everything. you earned a sub.
I love this damn series so far, it takes a super long time for each new chapter to come out but each one is gorgeous, well written, and EXACTLY what I’ve been craving from an isekai. I can’t wait to read the rest no matter how long it takes.
This manga story has a high potential to become a serialization with many episodes imagine if one door can create 12 episode of animation how much will be if it was 100 door? I am not expecting all 100 door have a story but even if it was only just 5-6 door that have the real story it still can be 2-3 season with 24 episodes

After reading this, although I had anticipated Tia's death, I still experienced a heart trenching experience. (Thx for the the recommendation love your content)
just binged it til the 10th chapter and its definitely got some world building with its extras and short stories. The effort put into these feels like the ones from slime reincarnation. If it weren't for the generic title and revenge story-looking first cover, this might have been way more popular
I think this gold needs a better name than "I Got a New Skill Every Time I Was Exiled, and After 100 Different Worlds, I Was Unmatched", I propose "Exiled from a 100 worlds"
Thanks for the rec Mr. Randomly Fell Into My YT Recommends 🙏I read it at minute 2 of your video and it's great! The description of the manga and the speed at which stuff is happening suggests that going over many more worlds is the storys trajectory and that perhaps Ed won't have to go at it alone this time. It's a very very exciting proposition because Tia immediately seccured her place as best girl. A 100 year old powerful elf mage being such an energetic ball of sunshine is not something I've ever seen before.
This manga stuck out to me very quickly. I mean he Isekaied, exiled from heroes party and time traveled (technically). I don't think the hero is a narcissist, as they(narcissist) failed to take any responsibilities for there actions. He is a false hope (sort of),he need to be seen as a strong Hero .He is a strong individual but not enough to defeat the demon lord(with the evidence). He is in a tight spot and he is doing the best he can. And also Tia can find bad people as an elf, I am pretty sure. So the hero is not a narcissist. Tia is the best character in the series hands down, Not even the MC could top her. Gonzo is the muscular wing man(To me,as very little is known about him). Any thoughts?
I remember a manga where the demon king pulled a crazy move. Since the hero's squad and the demon king are the strongest, the demon king decides to run away when he knows hes about to lose and went destroys all human settlements. They couldn't stop him so in the end everything they were protecting was lost.
funfact all the trash isekai shit made me feel very insecure about the one isekai story idea i have with a protagonist who actually really suffers as a result of knowing that she will never make it back home, to her old life, her family, whom she loves deeply a story concept thats actually based on recurring nightmares i have and some trauma ive experienced, but this video actually really helps me feel more confident in writing it to the end one day
I just read the manga scans before watching your reaction of it.... AND BRO YOU WERE SO RIGHT, THIS IS THE BESST ISEKAI I'VE EVER READ!!!! The way I was kicking my feet, giggle, cry and have my heart ache for those fictional characters are CRAZY, this manga is peak!

The only one of these types I focused on was Beast Tamer which so far the anime had a pretty decent version of that type of story.
@@Death2all546 "Who picked this guy to be the hero when he can’t handle enough responsibility to be trusted with a spoon?"
It's usually the same bullshit as how talented football players in america get exempted from punishments at school.

@@mbonkeden Thankfully it's changing. Modern mangakas got control over what they'll write next, and now recently control over their schedule. Authors like gege can take breaks whenever for however long they want to stew on what they'd like to write.

the greatest crime of the entire isekai genre is that this manga does NOT get the credit and love it deserves. if they play it right this could legit be a true masterpiece that will last like shakespeare's and beethoven's works

You know, when the author thinks "What if I made an actually good manga?", an then proceeds to drop the biggest banger in isekai history
@@asmodeusguys4472 MAR is Isekai. The MC is summoned to another world trough a portal.
Isekai just means "another world"
Oh damn MAR mentioned. That's my childhood there!

Holy crap, such an impact in such a short amount of time. 😢 definitely reading this now, thank you 👍
I love how it flips a ton of stock light novel plots on their heads.

Alright I just read all 10 chapters and have returned. Thank you for showing me such a good manga

Just found your stuff and I love it! Throughout the whole video I was hooked and engaged and it was just a great experience.
Jesus christ, your editing is impeccable.
This lead to reams of flat characters who gained everything they ever wanted and chose to throw it away because it wasn't "normal."
Even I'm getting too acclimatized to lonely nobodies, despite my initial relief.

The description of the manga and the speed at which stuff is happening suggests that going over many more worlds is the storys trajectory and that perhaps Ed won't have to go at it alone this time. A 100 year old powerful elf mage being such an energetic ball of sunshine is not something I've ever seen before.
Damn what a concept!
I felt a wave of nostalgia when I heard the song from D gray man
This manga stuck out to me very quickly.

They couldn't stop him so in the end everything they were protecting was lost.
funfact all the trash isekai shit made me feel very insecure about the one isekai story idea i have with a protagonist who actually really suffers as a result of knowing that she will never make it back home, to her old life, her family, whom she loves deeply
