5 TRUCKS in an OFF ROAD COMPETITION (RND 1)

- Some of my friends came to drive the course and we all have a competition to see who will win the day! We are using 1/24 SCX24 1967 Chevrolet C10 4WD Truck Brushed RTR ($119) (bit.ly/3jMgVE1). There are more of these trucks available in different models:
1) Deadbolt 4WD Rock Crawler Brushed RTR bit.ly/36SZ3Uf
2) 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU CRC 4WD Rock Crawler Brushed RTR (bit.ly/3dgfY49)
All of these trucks are "Ready to Run" which means they come with a transmitter (radio) a battery and every thing you need to get you into a 4x4! There are also upgrades available. The trucks we are using today are NOT upgraded and all stock.
Also, the course does not need to be as elaborate as ours! you can drive these trucks anywhere are a perfect for a birthday present or stocking stuffer. Heck, I bought mine just so I could play indoors during winter with my buddies.

Just lovin this content !! I ordered a system I found for this scale. It's made by Orlandoo , and it is a radio / ESC combo, with a sound and light kit built in. Gonna be putting it in my tricked out SCX 24 Jeep. Finally , no more squealing ESC !!
If it's the D4L the ESC is known to be underpowered so be careful.

I've been working on my scx24, I put a alloy and brass on the front axle and did that mod Lyle showed where he flipped the front bumper and it has a lot better approach angle. Awesome stuff 👍👍

I can say from experience it is a lot more fun to RC with friends !! I try out my indoor course, and have some fun with it, but it will be so much better with my buddies !!

Great to see a great group of friends having competition like the time before covid19. Thanks to Medic and the group for a somewhat mini TTC!
You could also do teams. 1st lap one player then relay to second player for last lap.

edit: I just had a flash idea, you could also do like in the RUclips Gold vids and use a second crawler to pull/sling those in trouble, the job of the team member maybe?

Looked to me that Sluice got screwed out of time with the judge taking his time to reset the truck. Everyone now knows the route so the times will be faster too.

I confess ...... I take my 10th scale monster truck out for walks around the neighborhood hoping to meat RC people with a coarse like yours .
I could definitely see this setup being used as a "Penalty" on the next episode of Loading Kings. Love the hobby.
How about a rope bridge to climb up and across the entire length of the course? The pillars used to hold said bridge could 2nd as gates. And what about lights? Night trials? Sounds awesome! Im brainstorming mine. Im doin this! And i think ill make my legs removable or foldable to store easily and to not piss off wifey. Garage space.

I love my crc jeep. Very capable stock and after a little bit of upgrades it turned into one hell of a little tank lol

A note from a trials competitor. To establish the direction of travel through a gate it is indicated by the numbered flag being on the driver side and the passenger side of the gate not having a flag at all
Also not allowed to reverse or cease forward momentum.

Can't stop moding my SCX24. Already looking at hobby models for replacement bodies though I do love the C10.
That pipe maybe can spray plastic dip or sand Floor tape for more grip😁

Are there foams in those tires? In my old 1/24 losi crawler I took the foams out of the tires to allow them to flex more. I had a sticky weight on each axle also
There are no foams stock and these all have stock tires. Rc4wd makes tires for these that are super soft so I run those with the foams.
Put the toyota tires on the jimny if they fit

Just a concern , would it be a bad idea to have like a spray bottle with water and just hit the whole course to dampen the track for better traction?
