THANK YOU!!! Holssi is my song to beat this year. The fact that it accomplishes so much through such sparse production and can still evoke so many different feelings (being carefree, letting go of societal pressure, cool confidence, but also the eerie uncertainty of just floating and having no road map) is the kind of thing that only a seasoned songwriter like IU can come up with. And after getting to see two versions of this song live while she was on tour-the original version, and then an INCREDIBLE rock version of the song as the finale, with thundering drums, and the synths and guitars droning on to create a massive wall of sound (check it out online, it's cool as hell)-it's only gotten better and more euphoric.
I love IU's voice and songs so much, I can always be sure that whatever new music she drops it will never be mid. I watched her at a concert in Berlin and when she came out to the stage with Holssi, the whole arena was quiet because we were completely entranced with the song and her voice. In her vlog video she said that we were so quiet at that song and she though that we didn't vibe to it or sing any fanchants, but I really think that we were quiet because we were trying to absorb the song fully, like I was just completely in a different state of mind that I didn't even realize that I didn't sing any fanchants during that particular song haha

As someone who doesn't have any background in music the visual representation and the time you took to add a better comparison and explanation of how things went or what they did in the music production makes me appreciate her music even more! I love this song! 🤍✨
