4 years of fire tunes from these two masters of their craft. Each song different from the last. Oh, they write their own bars, with help from a grandchild with the slang. It's almost impossible to recite someone else's lyrics to the standard that they perform. Their versatility on the mic is amazing! Pete was definitely about that life with South London's Richardson firm, rivals to East London's Kray Twins. Bas was from the Bare knuckle fighting scene in South London, and then became a music teacher. TOP TIER RAPPERS!
I had the pleasure of bumping into Pete and Bas on the street outside my house a while back. Had a little chat with Bas, who is charming (and that's definitely his voice in real life.) The legend is that Bas at least has a shady past involving the Krays, which honestly he looks the part for. Obviously they get help here and there. There's someone helping them with the slang, and maybe with more than that, but on the other hand there's plenty of authentically Cockney Old Man stuff going on - 'got a mash tucked under this tit-for-tat [hat, in Cockney rhyming slang]', for instance. It doesn't seem any more mad to me that they might pick up the lingo from the younger generation than that a younger ghost-writer might be able to sound so authentically old. And in this video, it's obviously cut together from lots of takes, unless Pete and Bas can teleport under the mike at the switch-overs, so they aren't really going back-to-back as slickly as it sounds. What I would say is: they totally perform these bars even if they don't write them, and that's impressive enough for me to be impressed by them. When you see them live, I guess they could be miming, but you can tell they obviously know how the bars go. And the music is just purely entertaining.
This was light for them lol Pete & Bas - Quick little freestyle Pete & Bas ft M24 - Old Estate I believe they have a ghost writer but the fact that they have actually performed their songs out at venues and do vids - props to them 😂
i listened to an interview they did on a small podcast a few years ago and they claim they write everything and 1 of their grandsons helps them with the modern slang.
Great reaction. I would love to see what you think of Harry Mack. Omegle bars 45 and 68. Olus that will pull all the H Mack fans over here. Keep it up bro. Subbed
It's really them. They have a video of them doing this track in a club ad a bunch more lived ones and other videos. Pete (short one) ran with the Kray Twins, perhaps the most infamous gangsters in British history. n The Kray Twins terrorised London in the 50s and 60s with their gang, Bas' family ran a bare knuckle fighting ring. Pete got into from listening to Drill Rap with his grandaughter. He called up Bas who is a musician and they started writing shit. You can tell by the style they do a lot of it and grandkids help keep them current with the slang.
I don't know if you've checked out ocean wisdom yet but his track walkin' is fire! He has a couple fire in the booths that are very bar heavy too... Keep em coming bro!
lol In my country people like lonely island and such make a mockery of a thing I love. (for example.) I was not sure if this was real or just comedy. I took it far more serious due to the fuckery in my country. After reading these comments I see this is supposed to be just a good time. This I can back.
I believe one of their nephews helps them write their lyrics, but I dont think its all an act from what i've seen from interviews they genuinely like that.
The rumour is CASisDEAD ghostwrites or coaches them....but I don't care this is hands down the best Plugged in W/Fumez...Skepta has good Plugged in too.
@@max4391 they sure do. I’ll look into it. I’m kind of bias now though with Google. I can just do a video and you guys will fill in the blanks Google don’t do that. 😂😂
I’m fairly certain, and I might get some hate for this, but there is one guy who does the vocals for both of them, and they are just miming If you listen to their accents in interviews, particularly Bas, it doesn’t match up, and there is no way they write any of that That being said, it’s highly entertaining, and you should definitely check out some of the other tracks ‘they’ have done

Yes.. I love this.. obvious they had help but I love the fact they living it too
That's crazy. dope as hell that they have some realness to it. Not just a pure money grab.
This was light for them lol

They are both music teachers or used to be
🤣🤣Freddie Flintoff is a cricket player
I know nothing about cricket.
@@Jurnalist_ imagine he said he flings balls of crack like a baseball pitcher
“Flinging balls like Frederick Flintoff” - 8 ball
Jae Kay did end up on a song with them in it, it's called Baddest by Vibe Chemistry.

They write there own lyrics but their grand kids help with modern day slang
mental its so smooth.
They are def OGs, they were with the Richardson Gang though, not the Krays.
Their grandkids help with the lyrics,😂
I've been to their live show down at XOYO, it's all jokes obviously
"Fag" means cigarette in the UK i couldnt tell if you knew that or not haha
I did but YT might go ham if I say it so I chilled lol.
They go on tour
Seen these live, Pete grabbed my head and put the mic to my mouth 😂
Better spray them bars like that kid from Glastonbury 😂😂
I could not deal with that amount of tabs open
I am trying to manage it lol. The tabs mean this is going in the right direction.
@@Jurnalist_ some hard work going in for sure.
Nope they boys are real gangsters for reall... fbfow in the trunk of the Jaguar... 😎👌

CASisDEAD ghost writing for them wouldn't surprise me tbh
Cas must be the most under rated in the uk
Yanko and clavish aswell
i just pulled a Cas record I hadn't heard his name yet.

They’re definitely not serious. One of them was acting in a beta squad video
They say they write there bars but no way
Its possible but it requires a true passion for the format and respecting that you must learn from those doing it to make it sound good.
