I find it touching that so many componists following big "Wolfie" era, have felt stimulated to compose themselves such masterpieces but what a pity so many of them have become forgotten and are now underrated. It is also the same for Cartellieri or Stamitz with clarinet works.

Gérard Begni agreed as far as symphonies. Gyrowetz shows personality and craftsmanship there, beyond Haydnian format and style. However, if I have to rate his piano concertos (this one as well as the other one) I'd not share the enthusiasm I've detected from several comments. They are basic, conventional concertos: both are rather "concertinos" for beginners, flatly adhering to a vague mozartian model, poorly orchestrated, without any robust development, etc. Yes, pleasant music to hear, but no more than "elevator music". Symphonies are a different world. Encourage all to listen to them and anyone will discover the real Gyrowetz and why he's underrated.

After some detective work ( Thanks to Mil.D ) I suspect that the orchestra playing might be the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Josef Růžička. The pianist might be Jan Malát. Guesswork should not enter into this. If you are unable to state the musicians and give them credit for their work, desist from uploading music !

Looks like the Piano Concerto in B flat, Op. 49 is from 1800. Very Classical and very influenced by Mozart. Very interesting to listen, thanks Milan!

Very locely classical era.
I would not say it is a genius, but at leaxt an unknown excellent composer. His music is that of his toime, with a personality of his own which make it richer than that of many of his contemporaries. He should be better known and played.
Gérard Begni agreed as far as symphonies. Gyrowetz shows personality and craftsmanship there, beyond Haydnian format and style. However, if I have to rate his piano concertos (this one as well as the other one) I'd not share the enthusiasm I've detected from several comments. They are basic, conventional concertos: both are rather "concertinos" for beginners, flatly adhering to a vague mozartian model, poorly orchestrated, without any robust development, etc. Yes, pleasant music to hear, but no more than "elevator music".
