Honestly not a huge fan of the studio version of this song, but this was truly "otherworldly" and hits that perfect spot of ethereal, harmonic, huge soundscape beauty that makes these guys my favorite band of all time...
Had a chance to meet you guys in Baltimore recently (met you all back in 15' as well) and the show was outstanding as usual. Would have loved to have heard this in Bmore as its my favorite song but i totally love the look of the vid here and the backdrop you all used was outstanding the other night. Why do I love Enslaved so much?❤ Firstly, NON-STANDARD SOLUTIONS. When I saw these wonderful fractals, incredible cosmic patterns, it was as if I found myself in another, magical world! Your band has a special style, charm, charm, handwriting! ✨ And the music is like a fierce north wind blowing from the tops of majestic fjords...🏔 It feels like Grutle is the Scandinavian god of thunder, Thor, around when lightning is rushing in different directions. Whenever I watch your videos, something sublime, unusual and very strong arises in my soul! ✊ It's great that there is a band like Enslaved. You inspire me every day! 💥💥💥💥
Man when they finally played this live I was stoked and then my joy turned to disappointment when they cut the one thing that makes this song really special and that was the saxophone. All those extra musicians and they couldn't find a saxophone player?
Imagine my surpirse when today I receveid the CD I preordered in the local shop ESPECIALLY because of this BluRay and received the edition with only the CD.
Absolutely fantastic work. It was great to hear it without the saxophone which, the version on the album is great but the sax distracted from the atmosphere, for me personally. Nonetheless, a great song. Much appreciation for posting this. Also, the new album Heimdal is an amazing album. Thank you. Eternally grateful.
