Can you set it for tone only for the remote training function?

Hello Jim, thank you for that question. While there is no way to set the remote to tone only, while the transmitter is in V/T your side button (that is always tone by default) and your front two buttons will only vibrate.

Can you train dog with remote while he's in the contained fence area? Exp. inside our house and someone comes over to visit I'd like to train our dog to NOT jump on visitor will the remote work with a shock if pressed? I had read the remote training remote only works when dog is outside the fenced area. Please confirm

You can absolutely use the remote trainer within or outside of the boundary to work in these behaviors. Thank you for this question.

Would this work with any sport dog training collar or do I need to buy a whole new collar?

Thank you for your question, Ashley. The Contain + Train™ specifically needs the Contain + Train collar in order to offer dual operation. This is the only collar that works on dual frequencies from a handheld remote and a containment transmitter.

If the collar is in "contain and train mode," will it still vibrate and stimulate if the dog tries to cross the boundary? Or would you have to use the remote to give stimulation if the dog tries to cross the boundary?

When in Contain and Train Mode, the collar will automatically provide the level of stimulation you have selected for the collar should your dog attempt to cross the boundary line. You will also have the option to manually provide stimulation with your remote should you wish to work on other training with your dog. We hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-732-0144 should you have any further questions.
