    That’d be cool to put all these dodger/hoochie combos together and sell them as a kit. “Spilt Milt all day combo” I’d buy one👍

    Keeping to the pink purple pattern you suggested... I ended up buying a rocky mountain dodger in a uv purple pink spatter pattern and a uv purple pink hoochie. I used both together on American Lake this weekend and caught my limit of Kokanee in under 2 hours. Amazing. I was doing so well that an eagle took notice and started to circle me.
    I used other combos last weekend on same lake and didn't fare nearly as well. Thanks man!

    I think it was yesterday, I mentioned how I get something new out of your videos, each watch. I've rarely been able to make a dedicated effort to target Kokanee. It's been one of my top fishing priorities, for the last 18 months or so. I've also never fished Chelan. However, with the prospect of the upcoming tournament, and an invite from a cousin, to be a teammate, I've been on a very specific internet path recently. I've watched this one a few times. This time, while realizing I had failed to hit the Like button, I'm also getting some very specific questions answered!! My question, Chelan Kokanee are deep! Do we focus on their ability to see, at those depths? You confirmed my thoughts!

    okay question.... lets say you're targeting rainbow or cutthroat trout. Would you use these same setups or something different? I find that when I'm chasing kokes, Im catching just as many trout as I am kokes on the same rigs. But would I find a better success rate for trout with a different type of setup?

      I have a bunch of hook rigs I pre-tied on a foam board. If a fish roughs up a rig or a particular combo is working well, I can slide beads/shrimp/squid onto a fresh rig and tie a Perfection Loop (any non-slip loop works) in 30 seconds and be ready to fish.

    any input on combos for a heavily glaciated lake? I fish alder (nisqually impoundment) and its been a hard nut to crack. My best luck has probably been on a moonjelly/red dodger with mini shrimp. Ive thought a pure silver may be good as well but havent tried it yet.

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  Год назад +2

      In glaciated lakes the amount of available light is reduced substantially. My suggestion would be to focus less on color and more on contrast. I am going to go way out in left field here and suggest trying white or even black hoochies and see if they produce for you.
