and no, there's not really much mind-fuck to it at all, to be honest. To put it simply would be to say that it's the manliest and silliest giant robot show ever made, and it's about drills.
I loved the anime, and have watched it many times. I will whole heartily agree with our description. For someone of a young mind it could be viewed as a mind fuck but to people like you, it was more in-death because you have ether more real world experience or more anime knowledge. (also i corrected my spelling error) (and i commented when i had only seen it once the first time)\

I mean the plot is generally very simple and straightforward. I saw it as a kid and it wasn't that hard to understand. It's not like it's serial experiments lain or anything.

Yes it is its the second season your looking at Simon all grown up and the grown up version of Nia trust me enjoy this image and don't bother watching the season all it leads to is crushing disappointment
