You helped so much. I had called a plumber but the time schedule did not work for me. After watching your video on repeat for at least 5 times. I felt like I can do it too. So that same day I went and bought a new tap and after struggling with the spanner sizes for a while, I managed to install a new tap. The new tap looks fab and no drips at all. Now waiting for the reaction of the family.
Good to see Simon le Bon branching out
well thks mate - again saved me quids - RUclips has tought me to change ceiling light fittings, connect up new electric oven and now this - I'm reasonably practical but you pick up on these guy's wealth of experience and tips - so mucho gracias hope you win the lotto!
Just wanted to thank you for such a great video which gave me the confidence to replace the tap myself. I've been without hot water in the kitchen sink for a couple of months whilst saving up for the plumber. Bought the nifty wrench you demo and found it all fairly easy. Thanks!
+Anna J Good for you Anna! Tell all your friends, and do watch our plumbing disaster videos! Much Love, James @ PP!
Thanks so much for this. Replaced my kitchen tap this weekend, without issues, following your instructions 👍

Thank you, not only was the old tap like my existing set, but your new taps matched mine too. Great help thanks.
That was a great video. I like how it was edited so the information was presented efficiently.
I'm a 19 year old lad and managed to do it in 30 mins with this great video! Cheers mate. Your a good un!
your videos are great, really helpful for myself, a plumber at the start of his career!!
Brilliant!!! Thank you for a wonderful, user-friendly demonstration. Bless you.
A very helpful video. I'm going to change my own kitchen taps following this advice. Thank you Plumberparts.
Clear, simple and easy to follow video. Excellent!
Very informative, was good to see that even the professionals struggle with tightening them up!!
This vid really helped me, love your stuff, big thanks! Mixer tap fitted in minutes once I found the tools to help. And I’ve adopted the “claw” name 👍🏻
Very helpful. Nice to see the different types of spanners you need.
Thank you. I'm going to have a go. I've always wanted a mixer tap in the kitchen and it looks pretty straightforward. Thanks 👍
What a brilliant and easy to understand demonstration.
Thank you Captain.👌👍 had no idea in which order the white sponge foam and black rubber washers went on so thought I'd check one of your videos before I started as they were really helpful with the last issue I had and sure enough showed me exactly what I needed to know again.👌👍 thank you Captain.👌👍👍👍
Thanks mate just did my tap washer very helpful .
thanku! Im in Sydney Australia and have just removed my two old taps after watching this!
Brilliant. Just what I needed. Thanks very much. Jacking in the banking business and going into plumbing.
You're a genius, and you make it look so easy - thanks for all your videos!
Haha! Thanks dude!
very helpful, thanks. pretty impressive bit of filming in a tight space !
Its great to get professional advise..many thanks
Great one, thanks!!
Thank you! A really practical video/advice about tools, method etc - with great ironic sense of humour (rightly) about the 'agonizing hell' you go through to carry out this procedure and huge sense of achievement you'll feel when it's all complete. NB - when vid talks about 'isolating the water supplies' before starting (1.20) with hot water you'll need to turn off gate valve and drain hot water tank if like me you've an immersion heater, it'll take 20mins to drain with taps open. Good luck.
brilliant - successfully changed my mixer taps; thank you
Great vid thanks for the demonstration !
just starting a plumbing course and your vids are really helping me with understanding how things work and go together, great work.....hold tight lol

Another great video. Been on your site too as i'm a plumber in Bristol and learnt a few things lol :-)
Hi great video. When I turn off the water supply do I need to open all the taps in the house or just the bath tap I'm replacing?
Is changing a standard tap to a mixer tap with shower attachment the same as in your video?
love your work!
Cheers!
love the ending makes me laugh each time
When you took the old taps out the bottom of the thread (which connected to the copper water pipes) had ptfe tape on, was there a reason you didnt replace the ptfe on the new taps thread? Thx
Good job
Thanks man
Looks easy enough but no doubt there will be lots of swearing from under my sink when I try this later!
+Barrie Fairhurst Ha, good luck!
+Barrie Fairhurst That's for sure , but the tube socket will help .
are pillar tap holes in a metal kitchen sink big enough to take a mono mixer tap?
Can you help me with the list of tools used. I want to purchase them and try this.
The issue you skipped over was isolating the water supplies. Fine on the cold side but what about the hot side from a hot water tank in the roof space?
thank you mate ,, upload more videos plz
Nice
These vidoes always come in handy mate thanks got a tap to change at work later but its a single 1 and aprrantly the tap it self is hangin off lol
No worries, good luck!!!
Hi there i have 2 seperate taps with big nuts like this on, these taps were fitted by council about 40 or 50 years ago, would the unions that screw on the bottom be same size and thread as a modern day taps?, are the holes across the sink a standard distance or does it vary..thanks from Fred in Essex uk.
should i put a double/ single check valve on the cold ?
thanks
Have you got a video on how to change two single taps to a mixer tap please?
Trying to replace kitchen taps but I can’t see the back because the basin is in the way Also the pipes are not flexible they are copper any suggestions thanks
I really do love this channel. :-)
Cheers Kurt!
hi
is it worth overhauling this cos of dripping taps ..??
You should do a video extolling the virtues of ceramic cartridges on these taps!
Will do!
spot on. cheers
+Ian Baxter No worries mate!
thanks mate, now I think i can change mine lol
I like to change a double kitchen tap to a single (mixer) - how easy is that please?
I have separate hot and cold taps, I'd like to replace them with a mixer tap like the one in the video. Are all hot and cold tap pipe sink holes the same width apart?Great vid!
Yes they should all be standard.
As an amateur who is scared shitless of not fitting it back together again and having water flood his house. What can I buy to put on top of the pipes if say I get in a mess with the taps and want my cold water back on for a while, and then attempt to sort it at later date. Also you mentioned getting something for the main copper pipe when re-connecting.Didn't understand the parts you mentioned, could you clarify at all.Thanks.Great vid!
very detailed

Hi what's the name of the washer in the feed pipe and what's the best material for it to be made not of plz
Stupid question, I don’t have a mixer tap, just normal seperate taps, but if I want a mixer tap ,are they all the same size, will any dual tap fit the holes on my sink 😅🥴
what size box spanner do i need? is there a standard size?
hello mate, can you tell me the name of tool you used to removed tap?
Ah good ol PTFE stands for
Plumbers
Tape
Fixes
Everything
8)
If I wanted to do this - but disconnect the bottom of the flexi hose instead and then pull it all out via the top would that be ok?
Access to the nuts is really tricky (unsighted) but I could use the flexi tube to feel my way up to the bottom tap nut and attach the removal tool.
Don’t answer that really stupid question - that won’t work :/
Gonna spend some time in hell instead
"The agonising hell" lol 10/10 for that...
Ha!
what size of tube spanner that you used at 6:50 pls..
