You helped so much. I had called a plumber but the time schedule did not work for me. After watching your video on repeat for at least 5 times. I felt like I can do it too. So that same day I went and bought a new tap and after struggling with the spanner sizes for a while, I managed to install a new tap. The new tap looks fab and no drips at all. Now waiting for the reaction of the family.

Just wanted to thank you for such a great video which gave me the confidence to replace the tap myself. I've been without hot water in the kitchen sink for a couple of months whilst saving up for the plumber. Bought the nifty wrench you demo and found it all fairly easy. Thanks!

Thank you! A really practical video/advice about tools, method etc - with great ironic sense of humour (rightly) about the 'agonizing hell' you go through to carry out this procedure and huge sense of achievement you'll feel when it's all complete. NB - when vid talks about 'isolating the water supplies' before starting (1.20) with hot water you'll need to turn off gate valve and drain hot water tank if like me you've an immersion heater, it'll take 20mins to drain with taps open. Good luck.

As an amateur who is scared shitless of not fitting it back together again and having water flood his house. What can I buy to put on top of the pipes if say I get in a mess with the taps and want my cold water back on for a while, and then attempt to sort it at later date. Also you mentioned getting something for the main copper pipe when re-connecting.Didn't understand the parts you mentioned, could you clarify at all.Thanks.Great vid!

If I wanted to do this - but disconnect the bottom of the flexi hose instead and then pull it all out via the top would that be ok?
Access to the nuts is really tricky (unsighted) but I could use the flexi tube to feel my way up to the bottom tap nut and attach the removal tool.
