Agreed I was really hoping we would get a scene with Daenerys executing Cersei. Also felt Varys execution lacked any sort of emotional impact. There was a lot of potential there for him to speak truly to Daenerys about why he did what he did and how he's seen Daenerys changing since he met her. He could have had some prophetic last words but nope he just dies in silence. I've realized at this point that D&D are avoiding powerful dialogue scenes because they don't know what to make the characters say, so they just resolve things with anti-climactic deaths that leave the viewer ultimately unsatisfied.
it makes sense that cersei died like this. daenerys doesnt deserve a confrontation. she decided against one, when she started burning innocent ppl instead to go directly to cersei ...

When you think about it, she really hadn't been waiting her whole life to kill Cercei. At most, a few years which is why the Hound was so desperate to try and stop her. He TRULY had been living his whole life in search of revenge for what his brother did to him and he's seen what it's done to him, not wanting that for a girl he started to care about. The Mad king asked him to kill Tywin and bring him his head. He did save all the people in Kings Landing but he wasn't rewarded for it. He was given the title 'Kingslayer' by the same people he saved so he became apathetic to the people in general.
@@rickjohnson3171 No. It's saying stupid shit. The writing is better than ever. You just don't like it when your favorite show ends. Your guess was wrong.
The writers don't even give a fuck anymore. Ice Viserion blew a hole in the wall. And during the attack on winterfell, breathed ice and put a huge hole into a big structure made out of bricks. And then afterwards, ice Viserion's breath was stopped by Jon hiding behind some rubble. Lmfaooo
Don't forget Jamie trying to walk through the lines with his goldenhand on and no glove. Or Jon Snow attacking a city without a helmet. Or Grey Worm, who like all unsullied wear helmets not wearing a helmet while sieging a city with defenders on the wall above him. Or Tyrion, with a huge bounty on his head and the most easily identified person in Westeros wandering the streets of kings landing with no sword, shield, escort or protection during a war. The utter stupidity is beyond comprehension.
The guy they spoke to was on their side. He looked like a knight of the Vale.. I think she gave her real name because they all know that Arya Stark is the hero of Winterfell... If the girl who killed the night King tells me she's going to kill the queen, I'd let her through.
@@walkertemple9694 Lmao And a lowly guard wouldn't try to turn her in for glory and money? She happens to come across the one guy who doesn't want money? That's even more stupid then.
Danerys going nuts burning the city to the ground was just symbolism for what the writers wanted to do to the show this season. They were depicting themselves writing this season.
It was definitely NOT true to Jaime’s character to say “I never really cared about the innocent” or whatever he says. Are we forgetting the entire reason he became the kingslayer was to save those exact people? his speech to Brienne in the baths? (For real what the hell happened to his arc 😤)
It's absolutely INCREDIBLE how they ruined Tyrion. An amazing, interesting character...totally destroyed!! And WHO the heck was Varys writing letters too at this point??????
Feral Wave probably to the other major houses that are still living. Though I completely agree they made Tyrion a complete dumbass. Even peter Dinklage points out how his character has become less intelligent when he was talking about the battle of winterfell. He found the strategy of hiding the women and children in a crypt during a time when the dead were rising from there graves to be moronic.
Feral Wave Agreed. Tyrion was hilarious, smart and full of one liners only to be written into the ground. D&D basically have him moping around on antidepressants.
I think he wrote a slew of letters to basically tell everyone who is still alive in the realm that Jon is the true heir of the Iron Throne. I thought he was gonna die screaming publicly that Jon was the true heir, but instead I think he wrote a shitload of letters and is simply sending them to everyone that needs to know that. He had a stack of papers, who knows how many ravens he sent. A lot. But yes, the Iron Bank is absolutely one of them.
Hmmm... maybe instead of immediately executing Missandei in front of the Dragon Queen with the weapon-of-mass-destruction and a family history of madness, Cersei should've chained Missandei to the Red keep as a safe guard against an attack from Daenerys. 🤔
Also...the group of people standing within ballista shot of the gate, Cersei could've just opened fire and killed them all. Why would she care what anyone else thought, after blowing up 1/4 of the city?
I have to disagree with the Jaime / Tyrion scene being true to their characters. Jaime straight up says he has never cared about the innocents of King's Landing when his character defining moment was sacrificing his honor to save the innocent of King's Landing by killing Aerys.
Also, he fights for the living. Which is why he left. Chracter arcs for Jaime, for Arya, for Jon, for Daenerys, were all completely nerfed starting about halfway through season 7. Season 8 is just clean up of the murder scene.
Also, TYSHA WAS NOT A WHORE!! Why couldn't Jaime give Tyrion that? He was furious in the books with Jaime when Jaime told him, going so far as to claim he killed his bastard (Jeoffrey). I definitely didn't want Tyrion to go around the ruin of Kings' Landing asking, "where do whores go?". But he deserved to know at least one person loved him for him and didn't sleep with him for gold. This is the entire reason he killed Tywin. As for Jaime, this was the entire reason he killed the Mad King, to save the population of Kings' Landing.
@@Coalemos Well, did Show Jaime know she wasn't a whore? He prob knows about Tyrion being married to some commoner, and Tywin's silver and golden coins plot. But he (in the show) could very well not know about her not actually being a paid whore.
Why break Brienne's heart twice? First with Renly, second with Jaime. Who the hell does this? What's the point of her story? She starts out in Kingsguard and has a broken heart, she ends up in Kingsguard and has a broken heart. ?
I thought she served Sansa? No way would she become King's Guard. She'd leave for the North. Guess D&D forgot about it....... That's never gonna get old.
Everyone is upset over ruining Dany and Jamie's characters but can we talk about ARYA?! Sandor convinced her to change her mind about revenge which her character was built on in 7 seasons, in like 15 seconds. "Hey kid stop it, you don't wanna end up like me" "Ok I guess "

@@MisterHeroman Things started to fall apart after they started diverging from the books. They should have just made the show after the books were all done that way they could have just followed the real story.
That would have been brilliant. That would have connected all the dots. Dany refuses to go full Targarian and capture King's Landing painfully trying to minimize casualties to the civilians. Dany's army is repulsed at King's Landing... where her dragon is killed and her adviser is captured... the the adviser is then executed to the cheers of the crowds while they cut trophies off the dragon with Dany observing high above obscured by sun and clouds. The weather suddenly turns and the water beneath the Iron Fleet begins to get very choppy and the cloud cover above the city doesn't give the Scorpions time enough as Drogon can practically swoop out of the cloud cover and burn Scorpions. The Scorpions on the ships are ineffective because of the horrible pitching and rolling under the enlarged waves. Dany has taken pains and losses and the entire city is mocking her... celebrating after she's saved them from the Night King and is trying to save them from Cersai... Dany snaps and goes fire and brimstone starting with all of those in the square where the execution happened and then just goes all Berzerker Bloodlust. This alternate needs plenty of refinement... but it's like 5 minutes of thought that Dumb and Dumber couldn't squeeze out of their fucktard heads.
@@mcsoupy If they chose to spread this season into more episodes, like HBO allowed them, we could have gotten a few more scenes that highlight Dany's paranoia. I mean, it would have been much better if we slowly understand that Dany is starting to see everyone, even the common folk, as potential threats. What if the little girl that Vary's is seen talking to tried to poison her and Missendei is killed instead? Wouldn't that make the scene of Dany's crazy eyes make more sense? D&D: we thought about Jon killing the NK but it just didn't feel right....
Yea it's called making sense...
I wouldn't even say it was Jon not killing the Night King. It's a huge insult, that he doesn't get to even touch sword with NK.
It could have been written in a way where Jon actually fights NK but is getting overpowered and THAT's when Arya makes her move. That would have given Jon his epic fight, made NK seem formidable, enforced the Stark bond and still gave Arya the prophecy.
Let's also remeber that he was brought back by the lord of light for this purpose, supposedly...

If she waited just 30 seconds, Cersei comes to her... whole thing is beyond stupid.
He was telling her that she's really too young to know what it's like to just give up your life for the sake of revenge. They could've done it better but yeah, that's what I got from it.

@@yrQmem it was 11.
11 large ships, in open water, in broad daylight, with black sails. They're stick out like a sore thumb. Keep in mind, the balista fire straight, so for Euron to have hit the dragon, they would have HAD TO BE IN LINE OF SIGHT OF EACH OTHER.
Yet somehow, Euron was able to see and target the dragon, way up in the sky, before Dany and the two dragons could see his dozen large ships(each one bigger than a dragon), spread out in a huge group, right down directly in front of her, from the air.
Dumb and dumber are just awful writers.
This is one show where dragging it out would have been so much better. But clearly D&D had already signed the star wars deal. They just seem eager to end the show.
ITS FOR THE BEST
theres so much more to the story then they told in the show. the entire dorne section could have been done in 4 full episodes and if they actually followed the book it would have probably been my favourite 4 episodes
BASTARDS
Think of what they could do with SW now. Could it be, that they will make something even worse than SW Episode VIII? I mean, Ryan Johnson set a bar Really high. But again since i saw, how this season of Got goes, anything can be expected of D&D.
I'm literally crying, they are going to ruin even further more starwars.... Can some stop them.
David Benioff: "Hey Kit, here's the script for season 8"
Kit Harrington: "I don't want it."
Benioff: "Ah I see you have your lines memorized"
Harrington: "No I'm talking about your script. I don't want it. I never have".
"We kinda forgot what Story Arcs are, so we drew circles.."
Oh jesus 😂😂😂
2 years. Only 6 episodes. And they give us these?
Merry Christmas
@Shadow9220 look at the quality of these 6 episodes can you imagine how terribly bad 10 episodes would have been plot and story wise?
gursimran sandhu and ethan j athunici worst writers ever.. remember these 2 script writers that destroyed GOT
lol...I expected garbage and they exceeded my expectations and served up flaming hot steaming piles of garbage!

"The scene with Jaime and Tyrion were consistent and true"
Jaime: I've never really cared about the people in King's Landing
I guess Jaime killed the Mad King out of boredom then? He was just totally lying when he was bathing with Brienne?
The Mad king asked him to kill Tywin and bring him his head. He did save all the people in Kings Landing but he wasn't rewarded for it. He was given the title 'Kingslayer' by the same people he saved so he became apathetic to the people in general.
Guess again.
@@avirudhkaushik6052
Yeah fuck that. He fought for the living, he cared for Brienne. It's just garbage writing.
@@mickeye6428
Calling out Dumb and Dumbers trash writing isn't guessing.
@@rickjohnson3171 No. It's saying stupid shit. The writing is better than ever. You just don't like it when your favorite show ends.

I think GRRM slowed down his writing just to prove the early success was due to his writing and not due to Douchebag and Douchepump.
anon mouse absolutely.
Ice dragon can barley touch a little wall the Jon snow was hiding behind. Fire dragon completely decimates an entire fortress and makes walls explode
@@samuelscalise9686 hot enough to make Harrenhall look like a half burned candle
Lmfaooo
I guess you could argue that the Ice dragon had a busted neck and had flames leaking out the sides. And is smaller and weaker than Drogon.
This episode was like michel bay on lsd
Mete Berberoğlu it was shot and edited way better than anything michael bay has ever done.
"Hi, I'm a faceless man. I'm going to walk in through the front gates looking like who I actually am- a prominent wanted figure of the enemy army."
"and tell my real name too and that I want to kill the queen"
Hadent even thought about it😂😂
Don't forget Jamie trying to walk through the lines with his goldenhand on and no glove.
He was writing to the scenarists, "WTF guys, what kind of a clown world is this??"
His little birds.
Hmmm... maybe instead of immediately executing Missandei in front of the Dragon Queen with the weapon-of-mass-destruction and a family history of madness, Cersei should've chained Missandei to the Red keep as a safe guard against an attack from Daenerys. 🤔
Unfortunately for us, you're much smarter than the actual writers of the show
Shit that's a good point.
Also...the group of people standing within ballista shot of the gate, Cersei could've just opened fire and killed them all. Why would she care what anyone else thought, after blowing up 1/4 of the city?
@@Hawkwinter01 Exactly what I was thinking,I feel like ppl don't talk enough about that
That would be making sense, we can't have none of that shit.
I have to disagree with the Jaime / Tyrion scene being true to their characters. Jaime straight up says he has never cared about the innocents of King's Landing when his character defining moment was sacrificing his honor to save the innocent of King's Landing by killing Aerys.
He just said that to his brother, it didnt have to be necessarily true.
Also, he fights for the living. Which is why he left.
Chracter arcs for Jaime, for Arya, for Jon, for Daenerys, were all completely nerfed starting about halfway through season 7. Season 8 is just clean up of the murder scene.
And Tyrion just stopped being cunning and smart, and just sets up Varys because : "Now I'm a believer!"
"Hey kid stop it, you don't wanna end up like me"
"Ok I guess "
She already killed NK, if she killed Cercei too the show might as well be renamed Game of Arya
zahra khodabakhshi I know they literally rode for months together and they never had a conversation about this shit ?
Plus she’s not used any of her super powers of faces or spear fighting at all 😡
This sucks so bad
zahra khodabakhshi the dumbest thing is she went all the way to cercei and 1 floor underneath cercei she turns back and yeah im going home cause i will die here so i better run thru a burned city.
nenad jovanovic this is tragic beyond comprehension. I can’t imagine what Martin would be feeling seeing his legacy destroyed this way
Aryas purpose was to travel to kings landing and then leave.
The funniest thing about D&D is that they don't even understand how castles work. Everytime defenders choose to fight outside
LMAO
How would 7000 unsullied, lots of dothraki and northmen and 2 dragons, fight effectively inside the walls of Winterfell?
@@yeti9914
Easy... Using realistic tactics, not ridiculous, unbelievable and suicide ones.
There are videos in ytv explaining it... You only has to look for them. They are not hard to find.
I mean it makes sense for Ramsay because he is to proud to just wait inside his own castle but not for the other ones
@@arthurclement8656 It all has to do with location, structure and combat style. For the Greeks, stand in front of the wall with an impenetrable phalanx so the walls can do all the work with no fear of being overtaken with ladders. In Late Medieval Europe, shock troops designed to slaughter the fodder and fall back. When the enemy has a fool-proof siege weapon to one-shot the gate, sally-forth and break it or slow its advance... Castles are not perfect and SOMETIMES it makes sense to put men outside the wall... but not in GoT Season 8

I agree, the dragon and maybe also misandei, that way her crazy reaction would have made more sense.
max1311 Yeah, but even then, crazy mad people are still usually hyper-focused on the specific person or people who they think wronged them.
@@mcsoupy true, and yet instead going for Cersei, she attacked innocent ppl far away from the castle lmao
Like She's there thinking, "anyone of these people could take a swing at me when i let my guard down and people I care about WILL DIE."
