The scene in the barbershop was the best part. It eventually devolved into people yelling over each other, bit it was hilarious how it got there. I love this movie.

I’m surprised the commentary sites this as a comedy, yes Chris Rock makes some smart and funny comments, but really, it’s quite sad. That women should feel their natural hair is not good enough, society colludes with this view.

I've never really been bothered about my hair I either just let it grow out and tie it back or I shave to a a grade 2 the latter has saved me a small fortune cuz even a simple shaved head is up to about £15 depending on where you go but that's nothing compared to what those woman have to pay actually no it's the way people think they should look so they pay but theirs nothing wrong with the way natural hair looks on anyone and I agree with you about the way the media portrays this thing about having straight hair and the amount of money people have to pay for weaves n wig upkeep is crazy, what a world 🌎 we live in it baffles me every day.
