This album is insane and it's about time ITZY evolve and I'm a fan of them (introduced to me by my godson and sister during lockdown LOL). Ryujin and Lia did it for me on this release. Looking forward to the next MVs!
I’m right there with you. I didn’t have a chill, down-tempo R&B break-up song on my Itzy bingo card, but it sure looks good on them, and the message still perfectly fits into their brand image. Also loved JinLia being able to present different colors here, with more singing and rap, respectively.
Right? Plus, they should do more rnb and showcase their vocals more (I'm happy that we are getting vocalist ryujin and yuna). Each members harmony is so good, I hope itzy explore more like this. It fits on them. I hate that some people acting like they own itzy and preventing them to explore as an artists and musicians. I mean, I get their point but they are free to explore. For sure the girls feels the same way. Especially that some members have different styles in music, have different tones and forte. But if you put that all together, they can become one, they harmonize and fits well.
i like the lyrics to this song because you could interpret it as a break up song but you could also interpret it as a song about itzy singing to the “fans” who left them during the sneakers era when they got a lot of hate. if you look further into the lyrics they sing about how they want summer to end (sneakers was released in summer) and how they’re “falling out with one another” etc. and that they basically don’t care (hence the title of the song) and idk if you know but fun fact, this song, bet on me, and the rest of the Kill My Doubt album was written based on an interview with the members that was held in September 2022 where they were asked about their hardships and how they dealt with things like that (you can watch more about this in the documentary in ITZY’s youtube channel) which basically kinda of confirms that they’re singing more to the fans that left them rather than an ex..

Artists/musicians are free to explore, and I want or wishes for ITZY to do the same without losing their brand image. They started off as a group who do self empowerment and self love concepts, but that doesn't end there or just stay like that. Just like in life, we have different chapters in our lives. We will gone through different situations. I can relate this into concepts. Just like in other groups, some started with concepts like love songs, then heartbreaking songs, acceptance, and moving on songs or concepts. ITZY is entering adulthood, so I hope they will have mature concepts or songs that talks about life, or maybe love, that many people would feel relate and find comfort in their songs.

Every reaction praises each kpop song even though it maybe average and the artists have shown they see these videos. They think its good and then it tanks getting not much recognition and they are left thinking why? when people loved it. Maybe some constructive criticism could be right instead of just overpraising everything.
I love these girls, and I'm glad so many are enjoying their music. Sadly, for me, their music has been downhill since Wannabe :( Wannabe got me into kpop, so I always expected itzy to be my ult group. Unfortunately these last few albums just haven't resonated with me, and I'm sad about that. This one isn't shaping up to be my taste either sadly. But I'm glad so many of you enjoy it. I'll still support them and buy the albums, but I miss the days I could list an itzy track as one of my favorite of the year.
I respect your opinion but as a midzy who has been stanning itzy since sneakers era, you know we need to admit that every k-pop group will have a peak time, a song which will be the most iconic both for their discog and public, but we also know that we need to move on with the groups progress, when you look at wannabes achievement, it's great but we achieved so a many things after that era, sometimes we need to go with the flow, no k-pop group can release hit after hit but itzy did it, if you love itzy as a midzy and not a casual k-pop listener then i advise you to trust in them coz they are talented as hell and in near future they will become much more successful than they already are ❤
