Hardware Hipsters : FritsJurgens New Improvements

In this episode our Hipsters take us through recent improvements FritsJurgens has made to its revolutionary pivot hinge Systems.
They begin with a review of the new modular eco-packaging, something that has always distinguished the Dutch FritsJurgens from other hardware manufacturers. From there David and Jessica take a look at all the improvements FritsJurgens has made to the Top Pivot common to all their Systems. This one brings the minimum pivot point backset down to 70mm(2.75") from the previous 91mm (3-9/16"). Though that doesn't sound like a lot, it is enough to get you an ADA-compliant clear opening with a standard 36" door slab.
After a couple of rejuvenating sips, the Hipsters review some of the developments in the floor plates that hold up all these monstrous doors everyone can now build because of the FritsJurgens technology. The new flush floor plates as well as the recent decision to include optional longer pins (or studs) that go from the floor plate into the floor to secure it.
Then, as if this was not already an episode's-worth of innovation, David and Jessica reveal the TP-40, a top pivot with a fixed 40mm (1-9/16") backset for Systems M and M+. To achieve this, it not only changes the top pivot but the bottom pivot closer unit is also modified to allow the System to be mortised into to the door edge. Jessica then smoothly demonstrates how the whole thing is neatly hidden by magnetic coverplates in black or stainless.
