Hank Knife Lighter My grandfather pressed hard to carry these essentials, my folks put me in the boy scouts where I learned a lot about EDC. And my grandfather was right these are the basics. I've added a pen and notebook and a multi tool to my personal list. Thanks I'm new to the channel but I love seeing other people's gear.
Basic EDC: - Way to tell time (phone or watch or both) - Way to manipulate stuff (knife or multitool or both) - Way to see in the dark (lighter or flashlight or both) - Something to hold your ID & cash-like (actual cash or cards) items (wallet or money clip) - Way to jot down needed information (pen and paper or phone or both)
My basic EDC would be... Trayvax accent wallet- minimal. Pro Trek solar powered watch- don't have to charge or replace battery. Leatherman wave- because of the two knives and basic tools. Brass Fisher space pen- it can write on almost anything and anywhere, plus it looks amazing. Olight s1r baton 2- small powerful and quick charging capability. Phone- so I can keep watching your best, damn EDC vids. I'm addicted! A lot of great gear out there!!!
A contemporary carry for me is the following: - mobile/smartphone (already vital nowadays) - wallet (money, cards and ID carrier) - a good watch - a pen (a tactical pen if you want something for self-defense) - a small multitool (multitool key, Victorinox cadet or a TPT) *I did not include a knife since it is a very polarizing carry and it will not be allowed in a lot of places.
Tyler that is a very difficult question to answer. It differs from person to person. My answer is the least amount of tools that I need to get me thru my day. Which changes based on the day. On the weekend it is a leatherman, crkt knife, olight baton, minimal wallet/money clip. During the weekday it changes to wallet, business card holder, pen, crkt knife and olight. Some it is the same but different. Love the videos you are an inspiration to up my EDC game
I think you should carry some way to tell time. a cutting tool, a thin wallet to carry documents (money, fire card, multi use card, bandaid, sanitize wipes), some way to make fire, a small space blanket, a keychain flashlight, a buff/ handkerchief. Thats what I carry most of the time. The space blanket is situational since I live on the edge of wilderness and concrete Jungles. btw thanks for another great upload!!

EDC must haves are: Phone Wallet Keys Knife That is where im guessing most of us started. The phone, wallet, keys are essential to modern day life and when you add the knife aspect...that is when the addiction begins.
a cellphone can be your only edc item - you can lock/unlock/start your car; unlock your house; make payments, buy stuff, get money from atm, make phone calls of course - only thing missing is your ID/Driver’s license which can fit into a slot in a cellphone case
My idea of a good EDC... Wallet, pen, light, knife or tool, beard comb, chap stick, keys, firearm, and a TOURNIQUET!!! Love what you're doing, keep up the good work.
Phone, flashlight, keys ( on carabiner ), wallet stuff, mini box cutter, hankie (allergies) chap stick (winter), ear plugs, pokka pen, ignition pliers, a few pieces of peppermint candy, with flash bang pouch (dog treats), and victornox farmer in sheath on belt.
A basic edc are the things you must carry, over time they can either become more or less but a wallet(need the ability to pay for things), phone of course just to be in reach, everything changes depending on the person, car keys if you drive, for a New Yorker it was metrocard for public transportation that was a must, some edc include a refillable bottle just to stay hydrated, lip balm for cold weather areas, sunglasses for sunny areas, picture wife and kids. Soon my edc will include a pistol!!!! Can’t wait to submit that.
growing up? I have tang on the counter right now... I totally agree with Benj..its way too easy to lose "stuff'' I lost 2 pr of sunglasses on a 2 day trip.. for me, my basic EDC personal carry. Keys, Wallet,2 flashlights, 2 knives, hot sauce, memorial gem, hat, reading glasses, phone, inhaler (pollen season ugh)
Well I think that obviously everyone's basic will be different depending on what you do. However a bare basic to me would include a flashlight, knife, watch, phone, and a lighter of some sort. Great videos, thank you and keep up the great work.
I think it’s hard to pick a basic EDC. Different people need different things. I’m in advertising, so I need a wallet, keys, iPhone, Apple Watch. I also carry a Hitch & Timber Runt 2.0, which has a beard comb and the Pocket Tripod in the back (along with business cards). In the front, I carry a space pen, Lumintop AAA flashlight, and the SAK Pioneer Alox. Other than the flashlight, I tend to use everything else...almost everyday. Keep up the good work!
The essential EDC list would be different for each person. Your EDC channel has caused me to look at every piece of what I carry, from wallet to key organizer and everything in between. I have put together a nice little collection of gear that is a quantum leap from what I carried before. Thank you for causing me to be more intentional about what I carry. One example is that I've never in my life been asked about my wallet until I bought a Trayvax about 15 months ago. I'm sure others have had that experience with their EDC gear as well. People notice when our gear is well thought out.
From my experience, the problem with True Utility is their knives. 90% of the models I've seen, with blades on them, have an over-milled stop causing excess wear/chipping of the edge near the tip. That said, I did pick up their skeleton knife a few days ago, and the blade seems very well aligned. On another note, imho a bare essentials EDC would consist of some variation of the following : Wallet, knife, keys/keychain, phone, and sunglasses/watch (as needed). I would also venture to say that, while it's not "required", a pen & notebook are often very useful.
EDC Most Basics: Wallet (or anything to hold your money/cards) and keys (or however you get in your home). My EDC Minimum: Wallet, keys, phone, knife, and pen
I have two distinct EDC sets for very different times in the year. My summer EDC is tailored to being outdoors and very active, as well as overseeing and caring for children (I work at a sleep away camp) and the other is oriented around using it at college, so I think the basic items between those are pretty ubiquitous. Phone Wallet (or some form or cash/card carrier) Watch Knife or utility blade (or both) Keys Pen Flashlight (optional)
The essentials that have to be in your edc kit are: wallet, keyes, smartphone, knife and fashlight. Of course most of people's edcs are constituted by the first three items, but i think that a knife and a flashlight could come very handy in various occasion. That's why we carry them!
Keybar with house keys, truck key and fob on GPT, and edc utility knife(usually tukkxl or chub), framelock( usually SOC Jcape), a fixed blade knife scout carry on belt, a pen,a sharpie(work days), and a flashlight... Those items are ALWAYS carried but swapped out for different obes almost daily depending on mood and what i am doing
Basic EDC Setup: Keys Wallet Cell Phone Multi-tool or Knife Pen I think lights, field notes, watches and other items are nice to have, but not essential to be considered EDC
My basic edc must contain at minimum: Phone - for emergency communication Knife - legal in the area Wallet - containing emergency medical information should I be incapacitated and in need of help Torch - identifying hazards in the dark Keys - with attached encrypted USB to transfer important documents
#1 Wristwatch: Analog, or digital; the battery life must last years (I have changed mine once in 6 years of having it) #2 Folding Pocket knife, 2"-3.2"; EDC is one of my main hobbies and the knife I gift or give reccomendation to for stsrting is the CRKT Squid. #3 key Ring: $1-$10; I reccomend the Nite Ize S-biner (has two gates), I like to have an extra gate available to me for things like rings and such for secure pocket carry when taken off hand. #4 Pocket organizer/wallet #5 Fisher Space Bullet Pen; you just gotta #6 pocket Note book #7 Single AAA Pocket Flashlight; I really like Nite Ize for budget
wallet, keys, watch, knife, multi-tool, and anything you need daily for your job (for me it is emergency bandage sheers like the raptors [will be submitting my pocket dump soon!])
Cool stuff as always. Honestly keys and wallet or some variation of the two. So whatever holds your money /ID and whatever unlocks your home. Assuming either or both are physical objects.
Phone, wallet, keys, knife, pen and notebook. Phone wallet and keys are fairly general, pen and notebook help you remember things when you need to, and knife for many uses throughout the day
My EDC as it's evolved to this point in my life: - Flashlight - Knife - Backup (smaller) non scary knife - Pry Bar - Pen - Wallet - Phone - Handkerchief Technically my keys but I don't keep them with me in my pocket all of the time. Usually whenever I get to where I'm going, I sit them down.
I think it depends on what you doing. if you working at Nite. A flashlight, knife ,multi-tool ,watch. But if you're working in the day you really don't need the flashlight. So I think my answer is going to be the one that suits your needs it can be anything from a pen and a watch or knife and a flash light when I started with an EDC it was just a knife and a Zippo and i called it a edc
They don't make thme anymore but my favorite, and first edc tool that I have had since middle school is the Wenger Pocket toolchest swiss army knife. I use all of the tools and it covers all my basics. The only thing it doesnt have is a set of pliers which is why I also carry a Gerber Dime for small plier related tasks. I use my pocket toolchest for evberything and it was nice to see someone else sporting a Wenger swiss army knife, especially since they are no longer made, just Victorinox now.
I think the most essential items are a knife/multitool and a flashlight, you can survive without all the other items, however with a blade and flashlight you can do just about anything needed to survive.
My minimalist EDC: The will to survive Jesus in my heart My flea market Rambo knife I can handle any situation with that! Oh, also my dad’s credit card is helpful too.
Basic setup imo (no order) is: Watch - batteries last forever and more accessible than your phone Knife - always need something to cut with maybe a multi, utility, or a blade but needs an edge of some kind Wallet - money, money, MONEY!!! Phone - essential in today’s world and will serve as a light if need be Some sort of keychain - organizer or just something to keep keys together This is bare bones and simple, and anything more is just gravy! MONEY!!!
basic is really basic: wallet, keys with small SAK attached, smartphone (you get light and watch with that). You can additionally go for sak with pen, and small multitool if you want. That's it. I have too much keys in my pockets as it is, I don't have much room for knives and flashlights.
Tool (multitool and/or knife), wallet (id, cards and cash), keys (not always sexy but you need them), flashlight (it gets dark, don't pretend it doesn't) and hank (I'll fight you over this one)
My basic EDC is: Wallet (Mammut smart wallet ultralight), Phone (Xiaomi Mi Max 2), Keys (with Olight I1R and Nite Ize DoohicKey), Multitool (Leatherman Wave), Flashlight (Olight H1R Nova), polarized sunglasses (have lots to swap) and mini BIC lighter.
Thank you for your videos. They make me evaluate my EDC. Currently my idea of an EDC is: Fire Arm; hopefully never used but there if I need to protect my family or my self. Flashlight: used almost daily even though I am in a professional building. Wallet Pen Notes: Always taking notes for account info and emergency dental work. Utility blade/ Multitool Tactical blade; again hopefully never needed but there if it ever is. Phone: Used for work as well as Pleasure ( audio books since I never seem to find the time to pick up a book even though I Love to read)
Imo the basic things of an EDC is a knife/multitool, wallet and keys. Since those 3 things are always on me, i always have a knife or multitool everywhere i go but at work i carry much more than i need just in case. "Have it and not need it is better than need it and not have it." Is something my dad always told me and what he was told by his father
A multitool with a blade, your day to day keys, a cell phone, and a wallet or money clip. With those four things you have all your bases covered for most days.
I think a basic EDC consists of the following: 1. A Wallet 2. A Knife 3. A key or set of keys 4. A Phone 5. A Watch 6. A Beard (I never leave home without mine)
Anything carried is your edc. Bare bones would be phone, wallet, keys. If you had a phone with a wallet case and don’t drive then the phone is your edc. Anything you carry everyday. That’s why this is so special as it’s so personal that it cannot be wrong.
To me an EDC is anything you bring along with you on a daily basis, weather your going to work, shopping, grabbing drinks with friends, running errands, or changing your oil in the driveway and for me these things are a multitool, phone, wallet, and a watch. Obviously certain activities call for a different pocket dump but I would say that these four and the back bone of any interesting everyday carry.
....wallet, watch, keys, phone those are my essentials. I’ve slowly been adding to my EDC. Have to admit I’ve been having a lot of fun, and learning a lot as well in the process.
My EDC may vary in specific tools every now and then, but the basics are the same: - Phone - Keys - Wallet - Watch - Knife - Pen - Pocket notebook - Flashlight
Basic EDC : #1: 🔪 Knife because your always going to need to cut stuff open or clean up your hands #2: 🔦 Flashlight because you never know when your going to need to see in dark places maybe you just need to see where you dropped your car/ house keys at night That’s pretty much the basics
My minimum work EDC is: Wallet, Multitool, Utility Knife, Flashlight, Tape Measure, Keys, Phone, Sunglasses. If I left the house with nothing else I could just barely get by with that.
Absolute bare minimum for an EDC has to be: 1. Knife - 100% essential 2. Phone - 50% essential (sometimes distracting) 3. Wallet - only the money is needed 4. Keys - 100% unless you want to walk or be locked out lmao
The essentials should be a phone, wallet, keys, flashlight, knife, and a marking tool(could be a pen or marker). Everything else is personal preference.
Wallet, keys, phone, and knife are all you need but that is just my opinion not everyone needs a knife but for me that is what you need thanks for making these videos I look forward to them all week and can't wait it I the store is up and running
Cool as ever! I don't think you really need anything specific for it to be called edc. Though I personally never go without my Victorinox Huntsman, Wuben-TP10-Tactical-Pen-Light, watch and wallet.
My opinion of bare minimum EDC would be a watch, knife and wallet. I can manage most days without my multitool or flashlight but the watch , knife and wallet are a must.
Standard EDC I would say: wallet, watch, phone and keys. As a teacher I add a red pen and chalk. Can't go a day without those. Oh and tissues, for all those students' tears and runny noses.
Basic EDC= 1.) keys because you have to be able to get into your house, car, work, etc. 2.) wallet because you have to be able to carry your ids and cards in a organized fashion. 3.) is your phone because that’s how pretty much everyone communicates and you have to be able to get ahold of people. 3.) chapstick cause taking care of your lips is important (especially in dry climates). 4.) lastly a watch because telling time is important and even though you have a phone it is less rude to check your watch than a phone. This to me is a basic bare bones EDC
in my opinion a basic EDC should contain the following your wallet, phone, watch, lighter, knife and lip balm but, what you yourself carry in your EDC is base on mitigating factors of your comfort level, your job and places you go in your daily life sadly to say a lighter and knife are not seen as tools but ,as weapons in this day and age... Magnificent website and youtube channel keep it up.
I think an essential EDC should consist of a wallet, a multi tool (any kind small or large) , and phone. Hopefully you have a knife but I know that sometimes is impossible due to job restrictions but still a knife is extremely useful when you need it.
Pocket knife Pen Phone Keys Watch Flashlight Flash drive Small multi tool (Vic Classic, Leatherman Style, etc.) Wallet Pocket notebook Handkerchief Pistol & spare mag Love the channel, Taylor. Haven’t submitted an EDC pic yet, but I’ll send something in soon. It’s fun to see all types of EDC in terms of budget, function & fun. Keep drinking whiskey in your vids! 🥃 🤘🏼🎸
I would say, depending on local laws, a minimum edc should include: a dependable watch, keys (house, car, work, etc.), a knife, a wallet (to at least hold some money and identification), a lighter (for fire or a light source), a pen that can write on multiple surfaces (sharpie, Fischer space pen, etc.), a multi tool, and a firearm.
in my etc i have a bench made barrage travaxx original wallet a camp hank a olight i3teos a apple iPhone 6s in a magpie black case and a kabar fixed blade thanks for the show keep up the great work
The Minimalistic EDC. 1. Wallet 2. Watch 3. Key organizer 4. Notebook/Journal 5. Pen. 6. Phone 7. Earphones. (I share this with a perspective of a daily 9-5 office goer)
A bare minimum EDC is anything that fits in a pocket! You don't need keys or a knife or any sort of tool if it isn't what you need. It could just be gum and sticky notes.
Bare minimum EDC starts with: 1.) time keeper/sun dial 2.) knife/stone or bone 3.) lighter/fire starter 4.) flashlight/torch 5.) writing utensil/quill With these items or any combination of these items you can proceed to get out of any predicament the day has in store for you.
Minimum edc would be keys, wallet, phone, and yourself. After that is up to you. For me personally is a knife, multitool, flashlight, sunglasses, and watch. I do agree with a lot of other people phones don't count as watches or flashlights. Phone batteries die faster with all the things they do and the led light in them isn't that good.
I am an on and off viewer of your channel. What I would like to see is the best 4-pocket setups. I often wear only jeans and I think comfort and utility. I also would like to see comparisons of large to small carry, such as a downsides/benefits 4 inch folder vs a miniature knife. ..it sounds silly but if you said you thought a 4 inch knife was 20% better for cool factor while a minature knife was 20% better comfort, I think it would be helpful. ... videos are great keep up the good work
The best rule to follow for edc. Is that there are no rules for an edc. Carry what you want. However you want. Use what makes life easier for you and have fun doing it.
I think personally an essential edc has to enclude, a wallet ( with enough storage for all your cards etc, cards don’t belong on keys lol). A watch, theirs no substitute for a good watch, younger people seem to have fallen out of the habit of wearing a good watch. A pen (preferably a sturdy one you’ll be less inclined to loose or loan out). A phone, unfortunately in our modern world this is an essential as payphones and landlines seem to be disappearing. A notepad (common sense really). Keys (again common sense however it allows you to add tools using a key organiser or keychain), some kind or multi tool attached. I would carry a knife as they come in handy for many tasks however I live in the U.K and the strict laws which seem to be getting stricter means I just and no longer able to carry a knife (apart from multi tool attachments which will probably soon be challenged). Mark
I always thought the bare minimum for an EDC is wallet, keys, and phone since that's what seem to be held by everyone. What you add after that makes it more personal and unique.
Thought question because I don’t think EDC is any specific items, that being said I think most people’s edcs have theses things. 1 knife 2 wallet 3 keys 4 watch 5 phone
Bare minimum EDC is key chain (with small light and a SAK), wallet (with beard comb card) and finally smart phone (for watching your vids on the go) and literally everything else.
I don't believe that there should be any requirements for what you carry to be considered "EDC", but my basic edc has always started with my phone, wallet, knife, flashlight, and keys. After those 5 main items you begin branching out in specialty categories that aren't always a necessity for me at least.
Basic EDC:
-telecommunicator
-money holder
-Pokey stabby
-light brite

Keybar with house keys, truck key and fob on GPT, and edc utility knife(usually tukkxl or chub), framelock( usually SOC Jcape), a fixed blade knife scout carry on belt, a pen,a sharpie(work days), and a flashlight... Those items are ALWAYS carried but swapped out for different obes almost daily depending on mood and what i am doing
Basic EDC Setup:
Keys
Wallet
Cell Phone
Multi-tool or Knife
Pen
I think lights, field notes, watches and other items are nice to have, but not essential to be considered EDC
My basic edc must contain at minimum:
Phone - for emergency communication
Knife - legal in the area
Wallet - containing emergency medical information should I be incapacitated and in need of help
Torch - identifying hazards in the dark
Keys - with attached encrypted USB to transfer important documents
Essential EDC and “tap” check before I leave the house daily include, Phone, Wallet, knife, flashlight. Keys on the hook as I head out the door 👌🏻
Knife( zt0450 today), m2r warrior flashing, watch, titanium bolt action pen, mini-tool on my keys, trayvax wallet, Glock 33, blue alpha gear belt.
Flashlight, knife, watch, pen and an item the best suits your daily needs is the minimum in my opinion!
#1 Wristwatch: Analog, or digital; the battery life must last years (I have changed mine once in 6 years of having it)
#2 Folding Pocket knife, 2"-3.2"; EDC is one of my main hobbies and the knife I gift or give reccomendation to for stsrting is the CRKT Squid.
#3 key Ring: $1-$10; I reccomend the Nite Ize S-biner (has two gates), I like to have an extra gate available to me for things like rings and such for secure pocket carry when taken off hand.
#4 Pocket organizer/wallet
#5 Fisher Space Bullet Pen; you just gotta
#6 pocket Note book
#7 Single AAA Pocket Flashlight; I really like Nite Ize for budget
wallet, keys, watch, knife, multi-tool, and anything you need daily for your job (for me it is emergency bandage sheers like the raptors [will be submitting my pocket dump soon!])
Cool stuff as always. Honestly keys and wallet or some variation of the two. So whatever holds your money /ID and whatever unlocks your home. Assuming either or both are physical objects.
Phone, wallet, keys, knife, pen and notebook. Phone wallet and keys are fairly general, pen and notebook help you remember things when you need to, and knife for many uses throughout the day
My EDC as it's evolved to this point in my life:
- Flashlight
- Knife
- Backup (smaller) non scary knife
- Pry Bar
- Pen
- Wallet
- Phone
- Handkerchief
Technically my keys but I don't keep them with me in my pocket all of the time.
The basic for an edc for me is glasses, wallet, a small knife, a watch for sure, handkerchief, keys and a phone
Great video!!! Keep up the great work. Basic EDC for me is wallet, phone, knife, flashlight and gun.
My minimalist EDC:
The will to survive
Jesus in my heart
My flea market Rambo knife
I can handle any situation with that!
Oh, also my dad’s credit card is helpful too.
Basic setup imo (no order) is:
Watch - batteries last forever and more accessible than your phone
Knife - always need something to cut with maybe a multi, utility, or a blade but needs an edge of some kind
Wallet - money, money, MONEY!!!
Phone - essential in today’s world and will serve as a light if need be
Some sort of keychain - organizer or just something to keep keys together
This is bare bones and simple, and anything more is just gravy!
MONEY!!!
basic is really basic: wallet, keys with small SAK attached, smartphone (you get light and watch with that).
Currently my idea of an EDC is:
Fire Arm; hopefully never used but there if I need to protect my family or my self.
Flashlight: used almost daily even though I am in a professional building.
Wallet
Pen
Notes: Always taking notes for account info and emergency dental work.
Utility blade/ Multitool
Tactical blade; again hopefully never needed but there if it ever is.
Ones EDC has to cover all bases!!
Wallet, shades, keys, multi tool and a communication device like the iPhone XS Max my personal favorite ! 🤘🏼
A multitool with a blade, your day to day keys, a cell phone, and a wallet or money clip. With those four things you have all your bases covered for most days.
I think a basic EDC consists of the following:
1. A Wallet
2. A Knife
3. A key or set of keys
4. A Phone
5. A Watch
6. A Beard (I never leave home without mine)
spend money and directly support you? carry commission sounds awesome!
Wallet, watch, knife, flashlight, muti -tool. Thanks for the great work:)
Blade, pen, light, multi tool, wallet, conceal carry weapon with extra mag. Carry On!
My EDC may vary in specific tools every now and then, but the basics are the same:
- Phone
- Keys
- Wallet
- Watch
- Knife
- Pen
- Pocket notebook
- Flashlight
Basic EDC :
#1: 🔪 Knife because your always going to need to cut stuff open or clean up your hands
#2: 🔦 Flashlight because you never know when your going to need to see in dark places maybe you just need to see where you dropped your car/ house keys at night
That’s pretty much the basics
Wallet/money/card holder, Keys, Knife, Phone, possibly a gun if your locale permits. Keep up the good work sir!
My minimum work EDC is: Wallet, Multitool, Utility Knife, Flashlight, Tape Measure, Keys, Phone, Sunglasses. If I left the house with nothing else I could just barely get by with that.
Keys, wallet, phone, multitool, knife (usually 2 including a sak), flashlight, pen and notebook.
Absolute bare minimum for an EDC has to be:
1. Knife - 100% essential
2. Phone - 50% essential (sometimes distracting)
3. Wallet - only the money is needed
My basic edc 1. galaxy 9s
2.olight sr2 baton
3.trayvax summit
4.kizer begleiter
5.galxey gear 3 frontier watch
Pocket knife
Pen
Phone
Keys
Watch
Flashlight
Flash drive
Small multi tool (Vic Classic, Leatherman Style, etc.)
Wallet
Pocket notebook
Handkerchief
Pistol & spare mag
Love the channel, Taylor.
1. Wallet
2. Watch
3. Key organizer
4. Notebook/Journal
5. Pen.
6. Phone
7. Earphones. (I share this with a perspective of a daily 9-5 office goer)
A bare minimum EDC is anything that fits in a pocket! You don't need keys or a knife or any sort of tool if it isn't what you need. It could just be gum and sticky notes.
Bare minimum EDC starts with:
1.) time keeper/sun dial
2.) knife/stone or bone
3.) lighter/fire starter
4.) flashlight/torch
5.) writing utensil/quill
With these items or any combination of these items you can proceed to get out of any predicament the day has in store for you.
Bare minimum, for me:
Phone
Wallet
Keys
Handgun
Never leave home without them. Hope I'll be able to add a TPT to that list soon!
I am an on and off viewer of your channel. What I would like to see is the best 4-pocket setups. I often wear only jeans and I think comfort and utility. I also would like to see comparisons of large to small carry, such as a downsides/benefits 4 inch folder vs a miniature knife. ..it sounds silly but if you said you thought a 4 inch knife was 20% better for cool factor while a minature knife was 20% better comfort, I think it would be helpful. ... videos are great keep up the good work
Good show, how tasty is that whiskey? I enjoyed the variety of EDCs this week
The best rule to follow for edc. Is that there are no rules for an edc. Carry what you want. However you want. Use what makes life easier for you and have fun doing it.
Hi there! No clue if you are interested, but I know you like brass and massdrop has brass zippos for 14 bucks.
For me, and EDC is based off of a wallet, keychain, flashlight, pen, and a phone. Although I see many without a phone included.
1 knife
2 wallet
3 keys
4 watch
5 phone
Bare minimum EDC is key chain (with small light and a SAK), wallet (with beard comb card) and finally smart phone (for watching your vids on the go) and literally everything else.
That is an anchor shackle, not a u-bolt. in case anyone wanted to try it.
I don't believe that there should be any requirements for what you carry to be considered "EDC", but my basic edc has always started with my phone, wallet, knife, flashlight, and keys. After those 5 main items you begin branching out in specialty categories that aren't always a necessity for me at least.
Before I leave the house, I do a check for - Wallet, keys, cellphone, lighter, knife, sunglasses.
