Ok, im getting my soap box out. This is a great truck kit for beginners and children. You can build it with two or three tools max. Price is right. With the kit as opposed to the rtr, you can buy a hobby grade radio and esc that can be used in the next car. Aftermarket parts are everywhere. I also did a speed mod to my transmissions in this and the 2.5 ton 6x6 army truck(same gearbox) to make them less crawly. Needs no extra parts, just kit parts. Great mod for a kid getting into RC without being crawler centric. One of these should be every childs first RC car. The servo is included . Small enough for living room floor running on bad weather days. This truck is a great kit. The con is the shipping is slow, like glacially slow.
I agree with that. These are awesome first builds and out of the box they are great. Where are you getting them from? I buy from WPL-RC.com and shipping is good BUT that all depends where you are.
A very smooth solution! I'm interested in seeing does the roll bar just plop off when ever the vehicle rolls over :D I personally would have, cut off the hood, add hinges to it and mounting the battery under the hood(and using magnets to latch the hood down) Then screwing the roll bar permanently to the back so it could stay and act properly as a roll bar :D
Oh yeah, it will fall off immediately when it rolls over, haha. I mention in the video that it is a cosmetic roll bar. So removal of the hood poses a problem as that is where one of the mounts for the body is. I was trying to make something easy for people to install. It is a shame that the hood does not open like the later cars do. That would be awesome.
Ahh man that’s genius!! I’m currently attempting to fabricate a roll bar with aluminum. I’m hoping the aluminum won’t be too heavy, but we’ll just have to see. Great video.
Could have placed the roll bar in situ and mark the tape with a sharpie then when you removed the battery door you had an exact location. It's what I do for post holes when retro a hard body!
Love these cheap little RCs great for little kids and grown ups to share and have fun with plus great to do budget challenges with
Yeah I agree. They are inexpensive and still a ton of fun.
Looks nice. I had been trying to make a roll bar for my C24, but your solution looks much better than what I had in mind.
It is a weird concept but short of a massive change to how the battery is placed, i thought it was the simplest way to go about it.

Na likely that will be fine. These are really heavy anyway so you should be good. Thank you!

There is a link in the description to the part on MMF. I just checked it and it seems there are no print check issues.
