The reason why there are no teachers in the classroom, unlike in the states, in Korea students stay in their classroom while teachers move from one classroom to another every hour. So during the break, they are in their office preparing for the next class at a different classroom. Also means the same students are together in the same classroom for one whole year.
This is the only drama my husband sat through with me. Many of these characters (actors/actresses) are well known. All the stories seem random but will eventually connect.
Side note - the MC is played by Seo In-guk. He’s a singer and he sings the main song for the show called “Even If There’s No Miracle.” It’s on RUclips (including the studio redordin) and he KILLS it.
This show u have to pay attention. A lot of your questions in the last episode waere answered. Death is not the devil. Death is after him because he said death was a means to an end and because he unalived himself....he came to her before she came for him. He needed to be taught a lesson. This show is very deep.
Watching every ep., you may getting understand what this drama would like to tell and learn the lesson cleary at the final 2 eps. Eventually, this drama will touch deep inside of ppl 's emotion.
Jin-sang, the bully also starred in All of Us Are Dead (bully half-bie). He can also pull off smiley, funny characters like those in Alchemy of Souls (Park Dang-gu of Songrim) and The Uncanny Encounter 2. The actor's name is Yoo In-soo. He's amazing!!
Thanks for the review! After watching your ep.2 review, I'm curious if the bully would have changed his action if the ML didn't mock the bully. 🤔 Lesson/Death so far: So the Death told his life may change with his actions. The skydiver (2nd life), he could have backed off with the others (parachute) rather than go till the end. He may not get the money/ have bad reputations, but he could have survived and lived a new life. However, he made a stupid decision which lead to his death. Then this kid (3rd life), could have idk.. reconciled/ felt bad and tried to talk to the bully at the park rather than mocking/threatening him. Again, he made the wrong choice (he himself became the bully/bystander) which lead to his death. So yeah.. like the Death said, he had multiple chances but made decisions that weren't the answers. Now, in his 4th life (gang) he starts to act like he doesn't care about the life anymore (by saying "Is it worth living in this body? Let me get the money before I die so I can use it in my next life.")
I'd like to think he would have changed his actions. That may be the punishment he received in dying because he taunted him. There must have been a better way to go about it.
The first scene was yi-jae's death spot. If you watch the part where he was on top of the building looking down and contemplating, there is a woman standing below so we can safely assume he fell on her and she died too (in that beginning scene the fire fighters were talking among themselves and said something like "poor woman, she was just standing") so not only yijae emotionally hurt his mom and gf but he also accidentally killed someone else along w him
The lesson was to talk to his mother about his problems something he didn’t do in his first life or this one. The mother could have removed him the school. The were many options there
Hi guys. Enjoy watching you guys riding this rollercoaster 😂 I think your approach may be complicating things for you guys. These people are not dying because they deserve it because they've sinned. They're driving the point through that some people make bad choices which lead to their death, but others are not responsible for the events which lead them there. The focus is on Yeejae. If anything, he should be asking himself - what makes life worth living and what did he not consider before taking his own?
Yeah, "situational awareness" seems to be the general all-encompassing issue with Yee-Jae in his lives, as I believe his main sin shown in these first two episodes is pride, and those cause him to be unaware or uncaring to the poor decisions he makes in situations. With the skydiving stuntman, his pride made him wanna take the risk of tryna complete the stunt when he could have just bailed and grabbed on to one of the jumpers skydiving around him to parachute down safely. Then after dying, it's his pride that made him both self-pity and also immediately blame Death for giving him no options. With the high schooler, my guess as to what the "right choice" for him to stay alive would be is to stand up for himself the way he did, but once the bully (Jin-Sang) got abandoned by his friends, to then sympathize and connect in some way. Instead, he immediately had a shit-eating grin and smugly towered over him in the classroom, and then later when we seem em in the playground at night, Yee-Jae's pride makes him unaware or uncaring to the pain Jin-Sang is clearly feeling and instead arrogantly verbally-attacks him. Sure, most of us don't blame Yee-Jae for acting this way -- we generally love to see bullies get put down -- but that doesn't mean all of these actions are right or proper. Imagine if instead he showed empathy and compassion -- that's when/how we'd view him a good or great guy... and it likely wouldn't have escalated Jin-Sang's emotions to the point of wanting to commit murder.
Death is inevitable all humans will die, I think the message it’s to appreciate life everyone is going through some issues and it’s how they handle and their life choices that lead them through their life their isint just one set path. However I don’t think the main character is really taking it serious that these are real people and the choices he makes will affect them. It was brutal the teenager, I kept thinking how the mother will feel and if she will find his letter from before on the bullying.😢
I just realized something. I wondered why you were very sensitive about the Death shooting him in the head while I was not. Maybe, for Korean viewers, it is so unrealistic that someone shoots another in the head. Koreans would feel much more distressed to see stabbing scenes. That's my guess.

so, it's the opposite in the usa? woahh, that's new to me. schools in the usa seems like a university to me
Ok, now that's some good context to understand that scene. Thank you.

That's pretty messed up.
It's one thing to take your own life and quite another to take someone elses as well.
The 2nd Half are more intense and melo dramatic 😢 this series was a roller coaster Ride
I really want you both to react to the pyramid game. I think it's a really fun and interesting series.
Nice job, Syntell & Soma.

Welcome aboard!

I think he would have pulled it off it didn't taunt the boy further.
on episode 2, how did he kicked his boss while his feet are tied up
Just a suggestion to watch Celebrity next.
