    Amazing & fascinating knowledge, training & dedication! I was always fascinated with Martial Arts & started taking Karate lessons at age 19 in 1971. After that school closed, I switched to TaeKwonDo. I am now 71 & have benefitted greatly physically & mentally!

    "MIND IS THE BUILDER!" by Edgar Cayce
    Gosh I enjoy martial arts training. So much of what the Shaolin monks learn about mental and physical fitness overlaps with things that Edgar Cayce said. I love how you learn to harmonize your body and mind to become your best. Also, I love the fact that Shaolin teaches you to help others. This is what Edgar Cayce calls soul development. For me this is incredible.

    This has so much well researched and thought out information. I thought it was gonna be another 15 min expose of what we already know about shaolin monks but I was actually blown away and impressed by how much detail went into the info, so much so that I learned more than 5 things from this video. Awesome stuff!

    It is hard to beat someone after having trained as a fighter for years in the temple. Certainly he has mastered combat skills that normal people are hard to challenge.

    No one will ever beat a shaolin monk because a shaolin will never step up to fight a professional fighter.

    Small correction: Shaolin monks have a strictly vegeterian diet and are celibate but the few Warrior monks have the right to not abide to these rules.
    Outstanding research and production overall, thank you for this;

    If modern society were to incorporate spiritual practices into the daily life, as do the Shaolin, then the balance of mutual respect between people would permeate throughout social interactions. One hour on Sundays would become 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The spirit would be in all that one does. Traffic jams would ease, barroom brawls would take on a new persona, and insults would lessen. Discipline and respect become all around. Eastern and Western cultures would improve beyond war between each other. China has a deep history.

    Unfortunately none of these martial skills are too useful in modern warfare against guns and bombs... They can train all they want , good for the soul and body- but it aint stopping no bullets ..Nevertheless, I have great respect for the monks - austere lifestyle coupled with humility and discipline help them to become great people and achieve enlightenment...

      Even with modern warfare tactics, foot soldiers still have to enter the gates. Shaolin monks protect a temple guarded by monks who fight with tactics that are still advancing and a lot of warfare depends on infantry more than bombs and missile attacks. I'm just picturing a Special Ops team of 9 storming the Shaolin Temple with bullets and still getting destroyed by the hundreds of monks whose abilities are still surprise to any trained soldier with a gun. I'm sure the monks don't fear death, and don't fear bullets, so some will sacrifice themselves to the bullets as the other monks FLY toward the specops soldiers with spears and flying daggers. If soldiers were trapped in a close quarter room with shaolin monks the monks win.

      Shaolin disciple is a quintessential application of temporal/spatial "free will" within an anthropomorphic context albeit an outlier to "divine sovereignty" when inevitably rescinded as prophetically revealed in the life of Jesus. There exists no application in Buddhist life and death recycling for the soul to ascend to divine existence with ideological exception to reincarnation which has never been physically demonstrated in overcoming death as Jesus exemplified within the same incarnation! Reincarnation can indeed be a spiritual application of continued learning or conversely evil dominion over human souls! It cannot be proven by physiological DNA: Jesus was is shall forever be eternal divine DNA in tandem with souls that follow his instructions beyond the bondage of human flesh destined to disease dissolution and death! I love Shaolin discipline: I do not prefer its worship of the human mind as separated from superior to the human soul made in God's "divine image!" Jesus provides a transcendence of the human soul into perpetual "divine love" far superior to unavoidable death recycling of human flesh, emotion, and mind! It requires a far stricter discipline to achieve! Amen!

      @bronsondiamond2025 plus, bullets don't always kill or kill instantly. I'd imagine if one of these guys gets shot, they're still probably on the offensive in some way. I mean they do stuff that would EASILY break a normal humans bones. Imagine having the bone density of 4 men, then getting hit by a 9mm or similar round. It may not even go all the way through the bone of one of those monks.
