Personally, I like the background noise, sometimes I think ASMR videos can feel a bit “empty” if there is no background noise at all.
Anyway, back on topic, it always baffles me how rock and cave paintings have lasted so long. I have to wonder why they were made though. Was it a pass-time? Documentation? Storytelling? Maybe they just wanted to show off their mad art skills. Who knows. I was watching a TV show a while ago where these guys were trying to find an albino kangaroo. They pointed out that in a particular painting, a kangaroo was depicted in white, meaning the indigenous people had seen an albino kangaroo at some point, it’s irrelevant to Libya, I just found it fascinating. And yes, they did eventually spot an albino kangaroo.
By the way, I love the way you flick through books and describe all the pictures. It kinda reminds me of watching Play School as a kid. I’m not sure if you had that show in America, but they would read a book as a part of each episode. Anyway, it’s very relaxing.

You forgot to mention how Gaddafi put people in prison for speaking Tamazight (the original language of Libya) and forced Imazighen (original people of Libya) to identify as Arab and to speak Arabic
