Landed here from your speed sensor vid. I bought this car used with a warranty. Came with a light bar that I actually want removed. I have these same lights and sometimes they’re just on for decoration when I’m lucky and every other time I get kick back from the brakes/ABS/crazy speedometer readings even after turning the traction control off. Now after watching this, I recall the time I had to pull over and restarted to a dead car. Cranked up normally about 5 minutes later. Going to try this tomorrow with a neighbor. Thanks for this.
Bubba you are the man you saved me a lot of time searching for a problem that was made by a faulty winch installation,,the main hot wasn't fused plus a loose battery lug. Thx. Bubba for your info ,I will be a subscriber!

dude thank you so much for the help! prior owner installed lightbar that i took off but the connection points were still attatched to those points on the battery. fixed everything.
Thank you I thought might have to get new connectors and this was the issue. Not many videos on RUclips really help and this did. I am thankful. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Thanks for this. Literally, installed a winch 3 weeks ago (doing what you advised NOT to do) and today while driving around, the dash lit up like it was possessed. Parked in in the garage. It wouldn’t start, like it was dead, dead, like it didn’t have a battery in it 🤷♂️. Makes sense now. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you, thank you for posting this video. I am a new Jeep owner, in fact I have had it only 3 days. My wife and I decided to take it on a drive and about halfway through the trip we stopped for lunch, when we came out it was dead. After getting it jumped before we got out of the parking lot the Christmas tree light up. After googling and searching I cam across your video. I thought to myself, could it be that simple. This morning I went out and tightened up all the connectors and boom 💥, it started right up. Fingers crossed it says that way. Thank you again for posting this video, I am now a subscriber.

I was excited about your hack... I did have an accessory like you demonstrated. I relocate it and took the jeep for a drive... No luck. Dash warnings are back. Ideas?
Wow, I hope this fixes my issue. On my 2014 jk, 6 speed manual. First noticed it on a tripe between Minneapolis and Iowa, I was cruising around 65/MPH, music blasting, subs going. Out of nowhere my traction, abs, brake lights all lit up. felt like the car shutoff for a sec and restarted, but what was actually happening was the cruise control cuts out, radio shuts off like battery power was removed, and I say this because when it restarts, the radio reinitialize as it isn’t fresh out the box and just got connected to power for the first time. I don’t travel without my scanner or some tools anyways so after it happened three times, roughly 10 mins apart, I came to a stop and the car was idling fine. Connected the scanner and and I found a C2103, and C2101. Battery/ system voltage high. I thought maybe my alternator was going bad and over charging at highway speeds. Ended up changing my alternator on that trip. It didn’t happened for the rest of the weekend, a week later thinking I was out of the hook it came right back. Happens when my amp is playing a hard base, goes away if I turn off the music. Funny thing is my stereo amp power is connected to that particular 10mm stud. I’ll check this out and see if it’s the cause. And no, I’ve done the cam sensor replacement already, the curse cutting out has nothing to do with the sensor. Or at least I don’t think.
My speedometer been going up and down randomly and the traction light been coming on since I connected my rock lights. Hope this fixes the problem. Thanks.
Hello, did this help? I have a 2017 Jeep wrangler and my speedometer keeps going up and down. I took it to the shop and they found no codes and can’t figure out why it’s doing it. Please help me. My dad used to work on my cars but he passed. As a girl I feel taken advantage of by my local mechanics. I just wish my dad was here to help me, I miss him so much
This happened to me too!! Being a female I didn't know what to do!! Then I thought well when my phone or computer has issues you take the battery out. So I went home unhooked the battery cables... let it sit for a few mins reconnected them and BINGO!!!! ALL the lights went off!!!!
Those 3 warning lights that will usually all come on at the same time is usually due to bad grounds and/or there's corrosion in one of the boards where your relays are. Jeep's are known for this. I pretty much solved that issue by rewiring the 1 relay in the relay box & also by fixing 2 ''Grounding Pigtails'' by snipping off all the ground wire ends & then soldering them back together to the eyelet then bolt the Pigtail back onto the vehicle framing under the hood... I still have warning lights that will come on now & then so I am no way near finished locating other bad grounding issues....
That is solid advice I was driving down the street I hit a bump Christmas lights came on. I was like what the fuck already got the Jeep tick this is bullshit lol
I bought a 2016 Wrangler this past winter and have been having intermittent warning lights, usually ABS, wheel slip and Hill Start?, and MIL. They usually clear after a few minutes but it has been extremely annoying and I didn't feel like I could "trust" the jeep I just spent $26K on. I figured there was something loose and my mechanic looked it over and didn't see anything obvious and said he couldn't really help unless something actually failed and then he could diagnose it. While hunting around the net for the actual meaning of the various warning lights I came across this video and sure enough, the former owner had added lights and power running boards and tapped off the power using that battery terminal tightner bolt instead of the the wiring connections right next to it. I just moved the wires and tightened everything up and I'm off for a test ride to see if I can "make it fail" again or not.
@@BubbasgarageTv Well, it happened again today after a slight bump in the road. ABS light and wheel spin/slip light. They cleared after a 10-15 seconds. I'll keep poking around. maybe something else is loose.
We had that exact problem with a Christmas tree dashboard after adding our first auxiliaries. Took us a while to figure out the loose negative battery terminal connection was the issue. This is a GREAT video that will hopefully save some an unneeded trip to the dealership.
Great vid man. This is becoming a daily problem for me on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport and the dealer is not helping. Would you suggest the same thing if i dont have any accessories installed? I heard if i disconnect the auxiliary battery that works too.
That ain't no Christmas tree, come watch my 2018 JL Wrangler if you want to see a Christmas tree. Wipers going by themselves lights on the dash I didn't even know existed. When to get scanned 30 codes. Now that's a Christmas tree 🎄
So funny I had the same exact issue I’m 12 JK. I figured out that’s what it was. My positive terminal had some play. I had to put a terminal shim in and that fixed it. great channel!!! Gonna follow along on your video when I install my led side mirror lights.
I have an issue with the check engine light coming on and then when the jeep drops into the passing gear the traction control light comes on and then the engine goes into limp mode. Do you have any idea what causes this problem?
I would say maybe a wheel sensor. We had this happen once but I wouldn't say that it went into limp mode. So I'm not sure. We do have a video on the wheel speed sensor if it helps.
Good day and thanks for the video. Well informed. I'm currently working on a 2013 jeep Wrangler customer said that all the lights I. The dashboard came on and that the vehicle completely shut down when he was about to enter his garage. Had to wait 3 hours to get it going again. Would like you expertise on what you think might be the cause
I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the aftermarket radio interface adapter which also caused all of my gauges to drop and where my odometer is it would say no hub I found it to be the ground on that harness
Sure as shit dude...this worked. I kind of knew this was the problem because I actually saw that my post wouldn't tighten. But shit....because what you explained was the reason why and I haven't have the bells and lights go off and haven't had to jiggle my battery cable sometimes if the jeep wouldn't start at all. It took literally 2 minutes to add it to the other part of the post
i got the noise alert beep from the dash panel but no codes and no light poping up while driving, then stopped turn off and on again and just a moment and there it was again, sound but no other indicator, any idea?, your videos are really good
We have a 16 Jeep Wrangler that driving will do the Christmas tree affect but also it acts like it goes to auxiliary. No power for seconds and then comes right back on. My daughter had an alarm installed. I wonder if this is happening. At dealership now and they say no codes so there is nothing they can do.
My 2007 Liberty threw a code for r rear wheel speed sensor with all these lights on. Changed the speed sensor and the lights went off for a short time but always come back on. When the dash is lit up I also get a vibrating noise intermittently when I brake - I can also feel the vibration of the pedal. Brand new pads and rotors in the front but that wasn't the issue. Of course replaced that speed sensor and then changed it out with the speed sensor from the L rear. Still reads R rear wheel sensor and xmas tree 🎄 dash, vibrating pedal. Any advice?
I’m currently driving across the country and this just happened to me out of nowhere. Never had an issue before, I took it to get the battery check and alternator and everything checked out. I’m wondering if its safe to drive the car like that until I can get it fixed?
@@BubbasgarageTv I’m not really sure, the speedometer drops when I’m driving, but I don’t lose power and sometimes different lights come on, on my dashboard but for maybe 1 second. I don’t feel like the car loses power, it’s just the dashboard that’s acting funky.
Right, we have ran into this crazy situation a few times. Generally it's the power connection at the battery or the wheel sensors. Keep us posted for sure
I’m not sure why anyone wouldn’t use those to begin with as that’s what they’re for. Unfortunately for me, I did use those and it still does this. Currently, I lose voltage while driving. Car cranks up to 14 when I start it, as soon as I start driving voltage bounces back and forth between 12.8 -14.3 giving it gas knocks it down to 12.8, then when I’m coasting it goes back up to 14ish, then when I I stop and come to an idle it drops down to 13ish, give it gas and it goes to 12.8. Not sure what the deal is. Frustrating because obviously after a while it will start wigging out on me.
Hi, I have the exactly same problem, did you got to a solution? On my case the change the negative cable to the battery but I still have the same issue 😢
Hi, the last time I had a problem with my jeep wrangler,I do what you said and I fixed the problem, now I have another one,I have 2 lights on traction and abs will you please tell me if you know what is the problem. I forgot to tell you also have a code P 2586
Hey, so glad to hear the video helped 😊 Have you checked out our video about the wheel speed sensor. We have this issue several times. It might be related. ruclips.net/video/3EJ4MUBwQKI/видео.html
It was bad enuff when Chrysler was under Deimler, but now FIAT, sad, jeez for Jeep. Toyota or perhaps the new FORD BRONCO coming out soon, beats Jeep. Will the new Bronco be the Jeep killer? Hmmm, choice, Ford truck Bronco, or Chrysler FIAT Jeep?
Right, lots of things changing that's for sure. You know I loved those old Ford Broncos. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with this new one :)
hey man! this actually helps a lot. for a while now my abs light has been on & after i took it to get it fixed it’s gone. however, now it’s cutting out my audio when i hit bumps or turn etc. for starters: i have a 2014 jeep wrangler with subs & an amp installed. both are pretty tight but i still have the issue. i’ll try this method first but in the mean time do you have any ideas? thanks i’ll update later!
@@vamer95 Yes!!! This is going to sound so strange (why tf would this effect my audio) but it was the rear windshield wiper plug that connects to the hard top all the way in the back -maybe the cords too idk. I think it has something to do with having audio after you take your hard top off.
Hopefully you could help driving my 2017 jeep wrangler and my cruise control stop working it was working fine when driving the road suddenly stop working
I was hoping this video would fix a problem I have developed but it didn't. My turn sugnals come on randomly fluxualting between both sides but mainly staying on the Right side. We can not turn it off and now the alarm is beeping non stop telling me the signal has been left on. Help!
I have 2016 jeep wrangler the issue I have is that when I put the headlight on auto the light stays on even in the sun light so what could be the issue?
My 2013 cuts out when I hit a horrible bump and railroad track. First I was told sensors, I switched all those out then the mechanic stated throttle body. Changed that. Then I was told oil pressure sensor. I kept telling mechanic IT ONLY DOES IT WHEN I HIT A BUMP..... It has to be a ground wire or something. Then I was told the wiring harness. I refuse to believe it is the wiring harness even though I could be wrong. I'm feeling like it may be the aftermarket alarm system I put on it, but once again I could be wrong. When it gets too hot and I hit a bump, it shuts off and I have to wait for it to cool down before it will start. What could it be?!!!!
Hey what’s going on brother man... nice to see ya.. are you sanding down that car 🚗 just wondering... Rock on brother...❤️☮️✌️ That’s My Jeep in the picture instant of a picture of me lol and my name is Randy not skippy lol
Any clue why my 2019 wrangler has a 3 chime mini alarm type sound that goes off about 2 min after I start driving? Just started doing it. It’s annoying!!!
My jeep jk still does it. Its not even connects to terminal bolt. Put them on the other one. Still gives me problems. Put a new fuse relay in and that also didn't fix the Christmas tree lights after hitting a bump. I have no idea why this is still happening 😕
My 2014 Jeep Cherokee started doing this all and I mean all lights on dash come on and it slows its speed sounds as if in neutral. Also the first it happen my radio complete shut off. Ac works all other lights work except the radio screen. And since the first time it did it the odometer started blinking checked my battery connections and they seem fine. Cant drive it for no more the 5 mins and all dash lights come on. Please help 😢🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@BubbasgarageTv i took it in for recalls, that fixed the dashboard warning lights coming on and also fixed the thing with slowing down because of the brake coming on while driving. But the odometer stayed blinking and of course my radio is not working i know I have to change it but the odometer keeps blinking even after taking the fuse for radio out.

Is a very common issue. On yours it sure sounds like a grounding issue?
Hi, I have the exactly same problem, did you got to a solution? On my case the change the negative cable to the battery but I still have the same issue 😢
Thanks so much
Absolutely, hope it helps.
You really need to learn the difference between a SHORT and an OPEN circuit. what you are actually getting is an OPEn circuit.
I'm actually fully aware of the difference.

All my lights came on in my jeep and it won’t start just blinking on the inside. What should I do?
Honestly, not sure. Start with the basics. Battery, cables, starter ect.
what about if we do use them and still have that issue?
hey man! this actually helps a lot. for a while now my abs light has been on & after i took it to get it fixed it’s gone. however, now it’s cutting out my audio when i hit bumps or turn etc.
for starters: i have a 2014 jeep wrangler with subs & an amp installed. both are pretty tight but i still have the issue. i’ll try this method first but in the mean time do you have any ideas? thanks i’ll update later!
Hi how are you, I have the same issue, did you got to a solution after all? 😢please help
@@vamer95 Yes!!!
This is going to sound so strange (why tf would this effect my audio) but it was the rear windshield wiper plug that connects to the hard top all the way in the back -maybe the cords too idk.
I think it has something to do with having audio after you take your hard top off.
just plug them firmly in or dangle it to see if that changes. hope this helps!!
Really great Tip and Super Episode 💖
Thanks fam!
Hopefully you could help driving my 2017 jeep wrangler and my cruise control stop working it was working fine when driving the road suddenly stop working
My Wrangler Jeep is also showing these signs I am very confused what to do
Will this issue also make my gages go nuts?
Yep sure can.
I was hoping this video would fix a problem I have developed but it didn't. My turn sugnals come on randomly fluxualting between both sides but mainly staying on the Right side. We can not turn it off and now the alarm is beeping non stop telling me the signal has been left on. Help!
mine has no codes..... and my nuts and bolts are tight on my battery. 😕 been going down bumpy dirt roads
Have you checked our other video about the wheel speed sensor? Could be related?
Will This Cause The Battery Light
To Come On?
It sure could. Another cause could be the battery or alternator going bad.
@@BubbasgarageTv Thx 👌
Absolutely
I have 2016 jeep wrangler the issue I have is that when I put the headlight on auto the light stays on even in the sun light so what could be the issue?
Sure sounds like the sensor. I think it's located on the dash in the center.
@@BubbasgarageTv does it needs to be replaced or just cleaned ?
Honestly I would try cleaning it well first
My 2013 cuts out when I hit a horrible bump and railroad track.
Good tip!
Thanks Chris!
Hey what’s going on brother man... nice to see ya.. are you sanding down that car 🚗 just wondering... Rock on brother...❤️☮️✌️ That’s My Jeep in the picture instant of a picture of me lol and my name is Randy not skippy lol
hey hey hey brother. No sir. Havent really did much to the red car just cleaned it out really. Love those old Jeeps. Nice to formally meet ya Randy!!
Any clue why my 2019 wrangler has a 3 chime mini alarm type sound that goes off about 2 min after I start driving? Just started doing it. It’s annoying!!!
Hmm, do any other lights come on?
My jeep jk still does it. Its not even connects to terminal bolt. Put them on the other one. Still gives me problems. Put a new fuse relay in and that also didn't fix the Christmas tree lights after hitting a bump. I have no idea why this is still happening 😕
Have you seen our other video on this? Could be a wheel sensor.
@@BubbasgarageTv what episode number for the other episode on this? Thx
Gosh hate to hear this, have you checked out other videos about random dash lights? It might help?
@@BubbasgarageTv i took it in for recalls, that fixed the dashboard warning lights coming on and also fixed the thing with slowing down because of the brake coming on while driving. But the odometer stayed blinking and of course my radio is not working i know I have to change it but the odometer keeps blinking even after taking the fuse for radio out.
Great tip! 👌👌👌
Thanks Mary! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Love it! Keep them coming!
Thanks you all!
Why does my lights go off and don't come back on. Please help
Not sure I understand, I mean if it's the lights in this video wouldn't that be a good thing?
Mines still doing this
Wheel sensor maybe?
Anyone seen “Autonomine” under the odometer?? What does it mean and how did it get there?
Interesting, can't say that I have seen that.
I'm going to try this and report back
How did it go Marvin?
My battery cable was loose ...
That will do it.
Just bought a 2024 jeep renegade, while driving all the alarms will sound off at the same time for about 3 mins, took it to the dealer, they didn't know what to do. they said they can run a diagnostic on it for $ 150, it's a new car with warranty. they acted like they were retarded. is there any advice.? help is needed
