Lightning Bolt Warning Light Showing Up On Dashboard How to Fix It for Dodge Chrysler Jeep etc..

In this video I will explain and tell you how to fix the lightning bolt warning light on the dashboard also known as throttle control warning light. This problem is commonly found on domestic vehicles such as Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep.

My engine light and the lighting warning came on and dropped the coolant needle all the way to cold i scanned the vehicle and it comes up as a throttle body and coolant temp sensor issue

First lift your engine plate and make sure all plugs are connected. I’ve been experiencing this for a week now and this morning I check under the engine plate and a wire has come unplugged. Plugged it back in and problem gone

My Jeep will be working just fine and then the lightning light comes on and kills the motor and then won’t start for a terrifying minute or two then fires right up and acts like nothing happened 😑

Just so everyone knows I changed my leaking intake manifold gasket and my problem went away. It was not the throttle body. Even tho I had the red lightning bolt and limp mode. Problem solved. I also had a leaking primary thermostat housing I replaced that too.

Diagnostic test, shows no code. Maf sensor replaced, coils, spark plugs, cleaned throttle bottle. Some big ol hose that has o2 sensor attached. Idk what else to check or replace. TPS and pedal sensor I’ll check too

If it flashes and goes Away thats fine? So its supposed to pop up every time and go away if there are no problems currently?

Mine flashes and goes away but there there’s days where it flickers fast and doesn’t go away. Can start it but truck has no power on acceleration. Clueless on what it is

Thank you for this video, my father has lung issues and his jeep patriot broke down late in the evening. Just from talking to him over the phone of the issues, I was able to pinpoint it to these issues and drove out late evening to replace the bad TB. Tried relearning, resetting and disconnecting the battery, all did not work.
