I couldn't agree more! Listening to Trump speak is mentally painful. A group of Harvard University linguistic experts said he has the vocabulary of a 5th or 6th grade child. How far we have fallen..... so sad!

I am a special education teacher and reading specialist. Trump's speech patterns and thought processes indicate that he probably has some type of learning disability. The fact that he says he does not read and that his advisors commented that he never reads anything is also highly suspicious. Kids with LD that involve reading difficulties hate to read. They look at you like you are about to give them 10,000 volts of electricity if asked to perform any task involving reading. Trump is of the generation where these issues were not talked about or diagnosed. Teachers today are much more aware of signs of LD in grades K, 1 and 2, and even in Pre-K so that early intervention can be started. If kids don't get the help they need, they act out and blame others for their mistakes. They have very short tempers and attention spans, and psychological and emotional problems develop. They cannot stand any criticism. You certainly see these characteristics in Trump.

He's the reason we ended up with Trump. Obama never bothered to even push for a public option and instead gave us a lousy half measure with the ACA. He didn't even try to make the actual systemic changes we desperately needed. He kept on drone striking. Didn't end the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. Didn't try to forgive student loan debt. Didn't try to prosecute any bankers after the collapse of 2008. Didn't attempt to push for an end to the War on Drugs. He promised change but showed himself to be a centrist, milquetoast guy.

Every american should know that this was a great example of what great leadership is about. This guy is under fire from every angle and from a strong die hard unchangeable opponent. I was a little tearful on inauguration day 2016. Since then I have forced myself not to think of these types of things. This is the first time I've reminisced. I'm hopeful but guarded that perhaps life can at least become saner, softer, etc. in just a couple of weeks. His sanity, his kindness, his intelligence, his reasoned approach....I want that again. I want Pete Buttigieg in 2024 for the same reason.
