Very strange and odd to see a beach on a dam on top of the hill at Gaddings Dam. And it’s the tallest beach in the UK. At least the weather is calm. And you can actually swim in it. Lovely scenery as well. 🤩😊

My first visit to Todmorden was c1970 to install some computer equipment in the NatWest bank. I since discovered that my great-grandmother was Mary Alice Blacka, a member of the Blacka family of builders in the 1800s. I've been back many times since to research my ancestors.

The title of this video is just brilliant and so is the actual video. Never even realised Todmorden had a beach until now and now I want to go and visit. Lol at deciding to swim in clothes and not propper swim gear, I just only paddle when I've travelled to a beach for a considerably long distance in Leicester as I don't want to get my clothes wet lol. Also nice to see that wots in the bin has made a return after so long. :)

Yes yes yes G! 🥰😇💯 One of your finest videos this year.September is just the best month for traveling, you get the best of light levels from 8am to 7pm and the temperature is never too uncomfortable either on the trains or exploring.Just a couple of questions though-what sort of phone signal did you get when up on the top of the damn? It's a idea to carry 2 pay as you go phones from two seperate providers as some networks are better than others,i use EE and Vodaphone.I used to photocopy OS maps for traveling but i have been using google satelite view on my phone since free wifi became more widespread, doing screenshots of areas i intended to visit just in case there is a signal drop out at any point. The Hope Valley between Stockport & Chinley used to give me signal problems a few years back.I assume your battery recharger refers to the Canon camera which of course will get through a fully charged battery in a day if using video with the full optical zoom function. You can get spare batteries for that style of compact camera,
photography shops sell them though Amazon tend to offer huge reductions in buying,£20 online as opposed to £60 from the shop.Since i cant always be against a window on a train its not always posable to use the USB slots, this is why i carry two slimline Goodmans 10,000mwh power banks in my backpack,so if the power goes on my camera i can still do videos using the smartphone. And yes,my back sweats too.🤗
