lol every street,,, i like what ya did there, seems im about 5days late to the party on this one,,, but what a party, great vid and yeah beakers cool say 10k thats pretty cool well done ya Loon ace stuff
Very strange and odd to see a beach on a dam on top of the hill at Gaddings Dam. And it’s the tallest beach in the UK. At least the weather is calm. And you can actually swim in it. Lovely scenery as well. 🤩😊
Oops, pressed the wrong button too early….should have read…..and well done for taking a wild water swim….great isn’t it, even better if it’s quiet and you can do a skinny dip 😂🏊♂️🤣 Best wishes Geoff. x. 🚂🚴♂️👣🇺🇦
It been ages since we saw a Wots in the Bin! thought you binned it ages ago lol and that is too much flowing water! But never knew there was a beach in Todmorden! Epic video
Thanks G that was brilliant. This is where you are at your very nutty best….a train 🚂 ride and then following with a lovely walk and we’ll done done for your wild swimming st
Great video G once again 😀I wondered what that big monument was on top of the hill but now I no, northern don’t run Leeds Chester and Leeds Wigan on Sundays just Leeds to Victoria
Wow so scenic! I recently did a walk over the Yorkshire dales which some of the views in the video remind me of! Very nice video, keep up the fantastic work!
My first visit to Todmorden was c1970 to install some computer equipment in the NatWest bank. I since discovered that my great-grandmother was Mary Alice Blacka, a member of the Blacka family of builders in the 1800s. I've been back many times since to research my ancestors. Have you been by train over Copy Pit to Burnley? Well worth it.
hi g ,great vlog..been to todmorden many times usually a stop off when ive been to somewhere in yorkshire.didnt know about this walk ,im from wigan myself and i,m gonna do it next time i go,i think youve inspired a lot of people to get out and explore with your videos ,which is great. for body mind and soul.keep it up and thanks,
Excellent video, G! Who needs Maps when you have a GLovesTrains to work out the best route? Not sure if the Todmorden tourist board will go with "visit our rocky paths that are full of poo" as a slogan though!
Great vlog G, once again you have found some of the most scenic views in the country, I wouldn't have ventured anywhere near that bin, hope you were dry before the return train journey and who would have known there was the tallest beach … amazing. Just seen that you have reached 10K subscribers, well done G. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
This was yet another fantastic Vlog G of Todmorden il agree with you the scenery along the route you walked was absolutely stunning and I’m glad you enjoyed your swim too and il agree with you G it’s good to get out in the countryside and switch off I continue to enjoy watching your Vlogs G carry on being awesome keep up the good work take care and stay safe
The title of this video is just brilliant and so is the actual video. Never even realised Todmorden had a beach until now and now I want to go and visit. Lol at deciding to swim in clothes and not propper swim gear, I just only paddle when I've travelled to a beach for a considerably long distance in Leicester as I don't want to get my clothes wet lol. Also nice to see that wots in the bin has made a return after so long. :)
Brilliant vlog 👍 Moston station has been Tangoed lol 😂 I'm glad to see Wots in the Bin is back, as I thought it had been binned ages ago Those rocky paths full of poo reminded me of the Middlewood Way
A camera operator who isn’t shown on screen… are you with Jago Hazzard? 😜 What’s not to like with everything in this video with monster munch, trains, hills, open water swimming ? Love it!
As ever a great video plus learnt a few things about an area I have never visited G. The question remains tho when did u dry out from your swim or is there a soaking wet train seat somewhere on the north west network 🤣. Fantastic stuff thanks.
Brought a smile to my face when you said that it was difficult to walk on the surface at the lake. If you had managed it, you may have only been possibly the second person in history to do that. 😀 Nice vlog though.
That was a fun watch - what a lovely place you visited. You aren't joking about the views from up there as they are stunning! Thanks for bringing us all along, and was the vegan breakfast one to recommend?
Yes yes yes G! 🥰😇💯 One of your finest videos this year.September is just the best month for traveling, you get the best of light levels from 8am to 7pm and the temperature is never too uncomfortable either on the trains or exploring.Just a couple of questions though-what sort of phone signal did you get when up on the top of the damn? It's a idea to carry 2 pay as you go phones from two seperate providers as some networks are better than others,i use EE and Vodaphone.I used to photocopy OS maps for traveling but i have been using google satelite view on my phone since free wifi became more widespread, doing screenshots of areas i intended to visit just in case there is a signal drop out at any point. The Hope Valley between Stockport & Chinley used to give me signal problems a few years back.I assume your battery recharger refers to the Canon camera which of course will get through a fully charged battery in a day if using video with the full optical zoom function. You can get spare batteries for that style of compact camera, photography shops sell them though Amazon tend to offer huge reductions in buying,£20 online as opposed to £60 from the shop.Since i cant always be against a window on a train its not always posable to use the USB slots, this is why i carry two slimline Goodmans 10,000mwh power banks in my backpack,so if the power goes on my camera i can still do videos using the smartphone. And yes,my back sweats too.🤗
That spoon is the spoon of destiny. No one has been able to remove said spoon. It is said that the person who removes said spoon successfully becomes the keeper of Todmorden. Oh, one catch though, remove said spoon and the whole structure collapses. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. 😜
Never mind 'the tallest beach' G., do you think it might be the highest beach in the UK too by any chance? And did your camera operator also go for a swim to match your bravery?
Two things G - I was born not too for from Toddy and never knew about this - I presume in wetter summers ( that could be a porn star name lol ) the beach would be covered as the res would be higher? Secondly you failed to walk on the surface of the water - we all know only one guy is credited with doing that successfully - yep Dynamo did it on the Thames
She's lovely, isn't she ? Thanks for the video !
8:17am on a Sunday morning That's dedication for yhe Channel !!!! . I actually thought that Sunday mornings only started at 10:40am
I have been watching your videos for a month and I must say , you are the best so far

8:03 You can even see Stoodley Pike from Emley Moor tower in Emley between Huddersfield and Wakefield.
Thanks for the vlog, didn't know you couldn't swim. Glad you only looked at the bin contents on the way to the dam and not touched anything.
It been ages since we saw a Wots in the Bin! thought you binned it ages ago lol and that is too much flowing water! But never knew there was a beach in Todmorden! Epic video

Thanks for the video G, such a beautiful place to be and a free swim too!!😎🐑🐑🐑🐑🇬🇧🇺🇦
Cant beat it haha, thankyou!
Apparently sheep do sometimes climb the pike from what I heard as Sheep can walk on sideways surfaces if they have a slight slope.
love it amazing that you can find little gems like this
Yes lets show the world to promote yourself...as the Eagles said , Call it paradise kiss it goodbye
Brilliant
Just fantastic again G, good hike, good beach, and stunning views super area to spend some time in thanks for taking me on your fantastic journey 👍🙂❤️

Looks nice up there but you wouldn't get me in that dam for a gold clock!.
Harold Shipman worked in Todmorden for a while!
Excellent video gloves trains
The age old question, Why is there a full bottle of tango at moston?
It's beautiful up there in that area .
Hasta gora weak bladder G ?
Perhaps the title should be ‘highest beach’
As ever a great video plus learnt a few things about an area I have never visited G. The question remains tho when did u dry out from your swim or is there a soaking wet train seat somewhere on the north west network 🤣. Fantastic stuff thanks.
It just dried walking down the hill ahha
Who was your “chase camera-person”?
Brought a smile to my face when you said that it was difficult to walk on the surface at the lake. If you had managed it, you may have only been possibly the second person in history to do that. 😀
Nice vlog though.
your video reminded me im due to upload videos from a saturday outing to doncaster then recently from halifax's bus running event

Tbh I wasn't on my phone when I was up there, was busy looking at the views 👌
Nooo G, you naughty girl you exposed our secret Gaddings Dam to the whole You Tube world! Really cool video though. I love the fells around Todmorden.
Haha oopsies!
New here just watched 3 vids so far
Really enjoying your content
One thing I have noticed you are ob sewed with pooh 😂
Will definerly watch more
Great video
How long did it take from Todd stn to the "beach" ?
Great views 👍
It's a walk is that I did it last summer my legs were aching after😂
Haha 😄
Are...are we sure that was Tango?
Great Todmorden vlog G! Apparently, it's not a real beach according to the geographers. Nevertheless, I call it a little "son of a beach". LOL.😀🏖❤
Brilliant video. How did you do the zooming of the camera when you were in the water? Guess you just kind of dried naturally 😎
That spoon is the spoon of destiny. No one has been able to remove said spoon. It is said that the person who removes said spoon successfully becomes the keeper of Todmorden. Oh, one catch though, remove said spoon and the whole structure collapses. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. 😜
So who was your intrepid camera operator? Unusual to have a vlog where the other person with you never intrudes into the shots :)
I paid them in crisps... just the one pack 😂
Walk 8 laps around Walkden station platform and you have walked 1 mile. 😁
A very good Tuesday evening young lady how are you today hun from Alan in Lowestoft xx 😘
Awesome Awesome video GLOVESTRAINS I always love watching your videos keep it up with your great videos girl
You'd have had to stay up there for absolute ages to dry off. Northern trains don't like damp travelers...
My hometown use to be a nice place the people came and trashed it thanks for the vid
That’s what I call a large beach
🙂
Never mind 'the tallest beach' G., do you think it might be the highest beach in the UK too by any chance? And did your camera operator also go for a swim to match your bravery?
It might be yeah 😂. And no they didn't!
Not so much tallest as highest...... There is a difference! A tall beach would be quite a sight to behold....
todmorden is in a landlocked county
Trains Station 🚉
You hope it was Tango in that bottle and not the awful alternative !
G you're awesome swimming in normal clothes 😂 But I wouldn't wanna go swimming at a place called "murdering death" in my native German brain.
Maybe take a change of clothes next time 🤣 looks like you had fun exploring the hills and having a swim.
It’s as tall as a fifteen storey building
That vegan breakfast, are they made from real vegans?
lol 😆
Reminds me of when I was a young boy, I asked my gran whether cottage pie was made from real cottages
I would’ve hated being in wet clothes all day, you’re mad 😩
In german:
Tod = death
Morden = murder
Is it really a good idea to go there? 😁
