I was so nervous, It was comforting that you were the Operator, We felt safer having someone in control that totally knows what they are doing... Smart move (Six Flags) putting you on there the first week it was open... I got the front row too... Lol I absolutely loved it.. It is a short ride, but I'm still very happy to have it.. My son and I are subscribed and want to thank you for making videos, excellent work, Our kind of humor too 😅... We are platinum members, and added food passes this year. Thanks again for giving us an insiders view of our home park, and the comfort of being in very good, very knowledgeable, and experienced hands when we are doing our favorite thing in the world.... Thanks for the nice comment :) glad you enjoy the videos. However I no longer work at the park, but I am honored that while you had the perception that I was the operator you felt safe. They used to be smart and put me in control of the new rides when they opened, but they determined I wasnt needed anymore. Thanks for watching- more behind the scenes coming soon!

sfgamfan thanks for all the information! I always love background info, history, and stories! Question I’ve always had about Goliath - why is there a small delay on the lift about 2/3 of the way up? It’s a pause every time I’ve ridden it, whether dispatches are quick or not

Why was Oaks Amusement Park in 1983 forward under the covert control of a sting operation and why were the sting op's running that park sabotaging the rides at that park and why was the sting op's running that park pretending the owner of Oaks Park Mr Bollonger still around when he was not and has been missing from early 1983 forward?
Why was the owner of Oaks Park missing in 1983 and why was the ride manager Dick Connor's living on the grounds of Oaks Amusement Park and why is it it was Dick Connor's the ride manager in 1983 and his entire maintenance team which were filled with sting op's sabotaging the rides?
Why is it in early 1983 a week before the season of 1983 started a experienced safety conscious ride operator discovered the Monster Mouse ride was sabotaged and that there was a break on the track why is it that management and their maintenance team and even Funtastic Shows which was based at Oaks Park at the time covered it up by pretending it's a balancing error and tore the ride down in order to cover up the sabotage and to eliminate the evidence of the sabotage?
Why is it five days into the season of 1983 it was discovered the Boat ride in Kiddyland was sabotaged and a young child got seriously injured because of it and the general manager of the park shortly afterwords put everyone on the maintenance team and the ride team on alert for sabotage/unauthorized tampering?
Why is it Portland police and Multnomah county sheriffs never even responded when 911 was called for the injured child and why is it no police investigation of any sort occurred and news media had no interest in reporting to the public that an entire amusement park was put on guard for sabotage?
Why is it on the 8th day of the season of 1983 three days after it was discovered the Boat ride in Kiddyland was sabotaged the maintenance team is witnessed by the ride team grinning and smirking while they drained the excess water from the water tank of the Boat ride and they admitted their draining the excess water thus their covering up the evidence of sabotage on that ride as well?
Why is it that after Dick Connor's the ride manager successfully got away with sabotage in Kiddyland why is it he chooses to continue to sabotage Kiddyland by moving all of Kiddyland to a new area in the park and the first ride he and his maintenance team move was the Boat ride and why did they stick that ride right under the main power transformer for the entire park with only a three feet clearance?
Why is it Dick Connor's wanted the en trance/exit to Kiddyland to be right next to the sabotaged Boat ride?
Why is it Dick Connor's bought brand new ten feet tall fences and used those fences to surround Kiddyland thus forcing customers/employees to use his sabotaged entrance/exit to Kiddyland?
Why is it Dick Connor's bought brand new tarps specially made for those ten feet tall fences and used those tarps to cover the fences so no one can see into or out of Kiddyland?
Why is it a month later the power transformer for the entire park blew up right above the Boat ride and it was on fire and why were the power lines going to and from that power transformer were also on fire?
Why is it at that very moment everyone on the Boat ride was under the immediate danger of electrocution and so was anyone that tried to enter or leave Kiddyland?
Why is it that Dick Connor's expected a huge disaster and why did Dick Connor's rely on those tarps on the fences to hide the position the Boat ride was in from a media circus of which he expected to happen after the disaster?
Why is it that Dick Connor's and his ride foreman pulled strings on the day of this disaster to get me stuck on that Boat ride the day that power transformer blew up?
Why is it a couple hours before the disaster a known sting op for the Multnomah county sheriffs was taking photogenic photo's of me operating the Boat ride and she was hinting this disaster was going to happen?
Why is it when the power transformer blew up and the park went dark that I stayed on the Boat ride in order to save the children's lives by getting them off that sabotaged ride in record time?
Why is it I saved everyone in Kiddyland by directing the flow of people in Kiddyland out of Kiddyland and kept the flow of people away from the danger area?
Why is it that after I cleared Kiddyland of people that I posted a guard outside of Kiddyland and told the guard to not let anyone into Kiddyland because of the risk of electrocution?
Why is it after that I saved everyone that was trapped on the Ferris Wheel?
Why is it I was never thanked by management for saving around seventy to eighty people's lives?
Why is it after the park closed for the season of 1983 that Funtastic Shows bailed out of Oaks Park in a hurry and set up their new base of operations on SE POWEL ST in Portland Oregon?
Why is it that Dick Connor's became the new general manager afterwards and he got rid of almost everyone from the prior season?
Why is it on the first day of the season of 1984 that almost everyone from the prior season is gone?
Why is it in the start of the season of 1984 that all the park managers were gone except Dick Connor's?

Why is it I was the only person left on the ride team that worked the prior season and the only one left in the entire park that was put on guard for sabotage the prior season?

Why is it on that first day there was only Dick Connor's and a temp maintenance team he borrowed from Funtastic Shows?

Why is it Dick Connor's only gives those six mid level experienced ride operators forty minutes to train 36 new ride operators on as many rides as they can before the park opens up?
Why is it when I trained a couple ride operators on the Looper ride that I discovered three of the seat clamps on that ride were sabotaged?
Why is it there was no one in the park I could even report this to?
Why is it on the second day I discover the Carousel ride was sabotaged and why did the temp maintenance team grin and smirk and admit to my face they did iit with no fear of prosecution?
Why is it on the fifth day of the season after Dick Connor's temp maintenance team finished setting up the Monster Mouse at a new location in the park that Dick Connor's laid off that temp maintenance team and sent them back to Funtastic Shows?
Why is it that at that night immediately after the park closed for the night Dick Connor's had security run all the ride operators out of the park?
Why did Dick Connor's have security hang out outside the ride office and ride break room and why did Dick Connor's order security to run off all the ride operators out of the park the moment they step outside of the ride office and ride break room?
Why is it that I was the only ride operator from the prior season and the only operator left that is on guard for sabotage and the only ride operator left that knows how to do the ticket count?
Why is it I had to stay in the office to finish the count while all the other ride operators are being run out of the park?
Why is it I was the last ride operator to clock out because I had to finish the ticket count before I leave because I was the only employee left that new how to do the count?
Why is it after I clocked out and ,locked the ride office door and step outside to leave the park that I was confronted by security and told by security that Dick Connor's wants all the operators out of the park and that I need to leave immediately?
Why is it that after I drop off the ticket count sheet at the drop box at the managers office I proceed to leave the park on foot since I live just a couple blocks away?
Why is it as I walked out of that park on foot that I caught Dick Connor's and a maintenance supervisor from Funtastic Shows inside the Monster in the dark with no lights on anywhere near them and their sabotaging the posts on the Monster Mouse in the dark by unseating the posts from the ground?
Why is it after they noticed I was walking past them from the parking lot side of the ride they stopped what their doing and became motionless and silent?
Why is it as I continued to walk out of that park I was under the belief I was going to get shot in the back for catching them being saboteurs and kid-killers?
Why is it after I got home I made the decision to never go back to that sting invested hell hole of an amusement park but the next morning I realized I have to go back?
Why is it I knew I had to go back because if I did not go back then Dick Connor's and his other fellow sting op saboteurs would know that I know what their guilty of and then they would go after me to silence me?
Why is it 2 days later Dick Connor's hired a new maintenance team and he had a couple of sting op's on the ride team advertising this fact by having two ride operators running around and telling all the other ride operators that a new maintenance team was hired?
Why is it this new maintenance team on their first day on the job, and it being either the seventh or eighth day of the season for me the maintenance team spent their first day in the maintenance shed taking stock and inventory of what they got to work with and then the maintenance team left the park after their shift ended at six thirty PM and then the maintenance supervisor left at six forty five, fifteen minutes after the maintenance team left?
Why is it that an hour and fifteen minutes later at exactly eight O'clock PM as soon as it turned dark there was a sting op dressed like the newly hired maintenance team and he entered the midway and was passing himself off as maintenance to the rookie ride operators and he was brandishing a level in his hand and he stunk of booze and he was demanding access to the rides so he could check the balancing of the rides?
Why is it this sting op knew the park was filled with rookies and can be easily fooled by a sting op and why is it there is no one in the park at this time in a position of authority there were no bosses no foreman and no managers and n o maintenance team?
Why is it there is no one that can even challenge this imposter?
Why did I run this imposter off of the midway?
Could it be because I was no rookie and not fooled at all and was keeping track of everyone an d everything?
Why is it the next morning two sting op ride operators were running around on the midway before the park opened and they were telling all the other rookie ride operators that the new maintenance team was a bunch of drunks that want to mess around with the balancing?
So why was the new maintenance team being framed as the fall guys over rides being sabotaged and why is it an organized effort by multiple people to do this?
Where the hell are all the state ride inspectors?
Why are state inspectors looking the other way when organized sting op's are sabotaging amusement rides?
Why is it the local government took official control of Oaks Amusement Park and in order to hide the fact that government is running the park they turned the park into a non profit organization?
Why did this so-called new non-profit organization continue to keep Dick Connor's as the park general manager?
Why is it from 1985 Dick Connor's continues to maintain control of all the key positions within the park by keeping sting op's in the foreman positions and on the maintenance team?
Why is it from 1985 Dick Connor's and his maintenance team continued to sabotage amusement rides but are no longer in a rush to do it?
How many hundreds of people did I save in that park by hanging in there and by keeping the park safe by identifying the sabotage and by shutting down the sabotaged rides and or by drawing attention to the ride and letting other's shut it down?
Why is it after the park officially becomes under the control of local government that government started entering into all kinds of business contracts with Oaks Amusement Park and the park became an official public school field trip destination and schools began busing thousands of school children to Oaks Park for field trips?
Why is it in 199o before Dick Connor's retired he trained his current maintenance team on how to balance the Monster Mouse and right before the season in 1990 ended Joe Norling the CEO of Oaks Park ordered his maintenance team to move the Monster Mouse to a new location in the park and the maintenance sabotaged it, again, using the same method and tactic that Dick Connor's was using in the early 1980's?
Why is it at the start of the season in 1991 several track sections on the Monster Mouse are sabotaged/UN-balanced and Joe Norling the park CEO hired 2 collage educated wielders as minimum waged ride operators and they hogged the Monster Mouse the whole season of 1991 in order to develop metal fatigue and cracks and breaks on the tracks where the posts were sabotaged?
Why is it after the sting op's that hogged the Monster Mouse suddenly quit their job without warning right after they created a break in the track?
Why is it the next morning the maintenance team covered up the break in the track by covering it up with a huge hunk of wielding slag the size of a grown man's fist and never said a word to me about it?
Why is it the lead ride foreman Jim Clooten held me in the ride office while the maintenance team slagged the crack on the Monster Mouse?
Were organized people in that park making a strong effort to hide the sabotage from me?
Was I keeping track of what their guilty of and proving it right under their grinning smirking faces?
Why is it a week later on the busiest day of the public school field day of the year that hunk of slag the maintenance team used to hide the break in the track that track section was separating as the cars go over that ride and the normal ride operators that were running it did not catch it?
Why is it when I relieved the front break operator for a fifteen minute break it only took me sixty seconds to catch it and I shut it down saving around one to two dozen school children's lives and probably saved a ride operators life?
Why is it after I shut the Monster Mouse down and reported over the radio the Monster Mouse is down that both the maintenance supervisor TC and the CEO of the park Joe Norling showed up and they both were grinning and smirking and started mocking me for shutting down the ride?
Why is it I snapped at TC the maintenance supervisor and told both of them the track was cracked and that the track sections were separating?
Why is TC getting scared at this moment?
