***RIP Neil Peart*** Sully had written this song as a tribute to Neil Peart. After Neil had tragically lost his only daughter to a car accident, 10 months later he lost his wife to cancer. Instead of turning to drugs, Neil bought a Harley and drove around North America to find peace. A journey that took over 55,000 miles. After his journey, Neil wrote a book titled: Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road. Neil is greatly missed and hopefully has found his "Serenity" with his wife and daughter.
As someone who has had been in many rough situations in the past, I often find its the silence that gets to you. There are somethings that stick to your subconscious and when you're alone, when everything is silent, your mind wanders. That's my personal meaning that I derive from the song at least.

I honestly should have turned out the exact opposite of who I am now. According to the odds in my life, I should have ended up as a manipulative, depressed, friendless and afraid heap of flesh and bone. I am a veteran with scars. The wars I fought with words and received the scars of bad memory. I have questioned my thinking and decision making enough to drive anyone off the cliffs of I. I am a twelve-year-old with the mind of a fourteen year old. I am starting to ask questions like "Who am I?" and "What do I truly want?" I have been held down by one thing or another for the past eight years. I am finally being able to express myself, to know who I am. I have met a few other veterans that are much older than I am. They have seen and known more than I do, and they helped me to become the happy, tranquil, expressive, open-minded, loving person that is typing behind the screen right now. I hope all who are reading learn two lessons: 1) never underestimate the "impossible" 2) be careful what you say. Three words can destroy someone.

I Miss my Dad and my mom even though they did not like most of my music they passed away from cancer and I even lost my daughters mother this past August she was murdered. And this song means a lot to me it help me through the pain
