I build a project using arduino cloud and alexa for home automation i can control fan lights and as well as it speed its an amazing experience with arduino
When watching this video, Alexa tells me that she cannot find a device called “blue light”. Thus, I’ll have to implement this device as well. Thanks for this interesting episode!
Hi nice one. With the Alexa link can I use different arduino account to login in the Alexa app Eg. let say I bought the device from you can I log in with my own arduino account in the Alexa app or is a must to use the maker's arduino account in the Alexa app
Why are you still pretending this actually works? Alexa never finds any Arduino devices connected to Arduino IoT Cloud. You can enable the skill and connect your account, but it will never - NEVER - find any devices.
Hey Brent! It can sometimes take a few attempts to connect the two services. This guide, docs.arduino.cc/cloud/iot-cloud/tutorials/alexa-mkr-rgb-shield, was written to accompany this video, it could be useful for troubleshooting.
@@karlsoderby3845 This is the guide I've followed and it does not work. I've disabled/re-enabled the skill and searched for devices dozens of times - it finds none of the 4 that I have connected to Arduino IoT Cloud. It simply does not work.
Ok figured out the issue. Alexa only recognises some types of variable in the Arduino cloud. Light and dimmed light are recognised I had binary and angle and Alexa didn’t want to know.

Yeah, doesn't work for me as well. Tried everything. It is a shame that Alexa cannot discover a single device.
It did work for me a while ago but now cloud variables are not recognised by Alexa despite multiple attempts to connect.

Alexa not supporting Arduino
Nice 👍
Great!!!!
