Thanks this one is a great tutorial to freshen me up:)
Awesome video Sir! But I have an issue I just cannot figure out. I'm working on a Workbook where some of the numbers in it show up as red and negative (as planned), and they also show up as a negative number, as they theoretically should. BUT, my issue is I want them to appear as positive (as if I were adding weight in a bad way. How do I do that, is it just a matter of formatting or maybe even a logical test of some kind? again, thanks for the video and I hope to hear from you about my predicament.
If there series of column values and if we use the if formula
=IF(A5>=C3, B5-B4,0) Is this correct?
Cool! I am glad that it helped!
I have an IGCSE test coming up soon. This helped me alot. Thank you ExcellsFun!
Good tutorial - very logical. Keep up with the good work.
U R A GOOD TEACHER...AND THE CLASS IS SO SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND
I start a new job tomorrow that requires heavy excel knowledge and I have been learning from your channel for the past 2 weeks. Excel has never been more fun.
Thank you for this!!!!!!
You are welcome! Thanks for your Sub and Thumbs Up on each video : )
hi
Thank you for a very simple and nice tutorial :)
+Kinjal S You are welcome!
quick, simple, fantastic
not like during school lesson
You have to put text in double quotes, like:
=IF(J1>=620,"Unhealthy","Healthy")
The video illustrates the concept of Double Quotes for text in the "In Balance" example.
wow! thanks so much. that was clear and concise and i figured out what my problem was. (i didn't have a separate slot for the logical_test, so the IF function couldn't find it.) thanks!
2 minutes in and I FINALLY found what I was looking for O_O
Great video! Thanks a lot from the UK!
mate, this was awesome and really easy to follow. I was struggling to get the IF formula to work with words and now i know why :)
much appreciated
can you please help me out to prepare abstract of construction cost, as being a civil engineer, thanks
Much better than my IPT teacher lol, you can actually keep people engaged.
Great - helpful and humourous - and I got the IF Function for the first time - thanks.xx
Thanks! I may not be your teacher then, but now you can watch all these videos!!!
thanks a lot for these valuable videos!!
Hi, thanks for the video. I had an experience with an equal function where I got a FALSE answer even though they have the same number, like $ 152 and $152, when I build the function =A2=B2 (for example), they gave a FALSE result, do you know why, and how to solve the problem if the data set are large, thanks.
Million thanks dude very easy to understand
Thanks a million buddy !!! It was really very Helpful....
i downloaded your classes, so many thanks
Hi.... I follow your lessons and find it very useful.
I need little help in one of my excels.
Need to to know how can I combine IF function and with a formula that can give me the results that I need.
It is #22. I'll have to add an annotation. Thanks for the heads up!
this is an outstanding video and u r an exceptional Teacher
Well explained the IF function. May you have blessings from God.
I am glad that the video helps : )
You are an awesome teacher... Thanks.. This helped a lot... :)
Thank you, Straight to the point and well explained.
Glad you like it, Matt!!!
Thank you so much. very helpful video.
Great video! helped me a lot! :)
Very well explained, thanks
Thank you for your clear and understandable explanations. I used the Function Argument Box and I didn't have to manually type in the " and so on (hope this was ok). My understanding of the Logical Test was way off! Even the value_if_true, etc., had me confused. Not now! You helped me understand the purpose of the Logical Test and the IF Function. I now not only understand "how" to do a step, but also the "why" I should do it. This knowledge makes a world of difference when you know the "whys". I am a Subscriber!
This video was so fun to watch because you made very interesting. You absolutely sound like a commentator that was big part of it. Great job, great video!. Thanks.
extremely helpful thank you!
hi

great tutorial thanks
thanks a lot ExcellsFun
this is amaizing
you have done a very good job buddy. thanks.
I can't find this worksheet under your excelbasics catergory. Can you please let me know how to get it? Thank you.
If I have an average function, in another workbook, and some of the data points are empty cells, how can I program excel to specify that parts of the average were returned as blanks?
I have 10 tables with 5 criteria each and each criteria is referencing 10 questions, so if 1 question is blank I want my resultant averages to have some ideal condition, like being Bold or anything. I tried an OR statement in a conditional requirement but excel told me conditionals couldn't reference external workbooks.
Any help is appreciated.
I don't normally leave comments, but this was a GREAT video.
Thank you sir.
Thank you! Your lessons are fantastic! You are a great teacher!

Great video Mike! I have a specific excel question, I thought the "if" function of the "Cell" function could solve it but I was wrong. Maybe if I give you a description, you could point me in the right direction. I'm creating a stock trading spreadsheet with one column labeled "Long or Short". If I bought a stock, I went "Long" and will input a "L" into the cell below the heading. If I shorted a stock, I will input an "S" into the cell below the heading. In another column, I have a heading labeled "Profit". This is the cell where my equation is wrong. I want create a formula that states: if the trade was an "L", then subtract the sell price from the purchase price. And if the trade was an "S", subtract the purchase price from the sell price (the opposite from the "L" equation). But I'm having difficulty. Are you able to give me any guidance on what kind of formula I'm looking for? Thanks again for your time and help Mike. I'm subscribed and will keep watching! Cheers, Keiron. :)
I can understand your lesson a lot better than my teacher;Thank you!
Very good explanation. :D
Great videos
i got stuck with the IF formula.... how can i write the formula so that if the source cell is blank (your C), even the target (your D) is blank, otherwise it shows the time ofthe entry?
this is a great video. I would like to know how I can reach all your videos through you tube, there are other facilitators but you are awesome.
Fabiola
the part i didnt understand was at the end, the problem with the 39.01 i dont understand why appeared a .01 by its self.
Does anyone know why the "Your Bonus" formula wouldn't work in OpenOffice Calc? I typed the EXACT same thing in my b6, and b7 cells (3:54). B6 says "TRUE" as expected, but b7 returns "err:508" instead of either $500, or $0.00. I realize these are two different programs, but OpenOffice software pretty closely matches Microsoft Office.
