    THE CHANNEL:
    This channel is about Kerbal Space Program and can consist of SSTO building tutorials and rocket building tutorials. Some times the videos contain bad language and adult humor but on a low level. In these videos no planet is safe as we can explore space together by landing on places like Duna and Jool and build large Duna colonies or orbital space stations. Also, Interplanetary SSTO builds seem to be a hot topic in the KSP community so I will be touching on those as well. I also build SSRT space craft. These are fun to build and easy to fly! Warships or space warships are one of my favorite things to make. Stock weapons can be very challenging and so when building them over time , you get to see the evolution of the designs. Same thing with the Warships. They get better and better with each new design.
    Now , I know it's considered cheating but Kraken drives are a fun way to put things like warp drive ( like in Star Trek ) and or hyper drives ( like in Star Wars ) in your Kerbal space program game. These game mechanic loopholes are fun to figure out as you find out how they work and how to incorporate them into your star ship design.
    Everything from Outposts on far away moons and Mining Stations around asteroids and comets, you name it I've ether built it or it's on my to do list! I still haven't really explored things like building SpaceX starship or any of the NASA spacecraft, and I think that's because it been done to many times. Recreations of spacecraft can be found almost everywhere on RUclips now and so making yet another one seem redundant. Only if the spacecraft recreation is of one that I loved as a kid will I even attempt to build it. Like the Apollo Moon Lander, or the whole Apollo rocket! Now that rocket was cool!
    Many people have ask me if I'm ever going to wear my Mandalorian helmet ever again for my videos. And , yes. when the time is right, and I get a new wabcam, I will be dawning the helmet once more!

    I cant even make an SSTO in sandbox with a giant craft, and Vaos is out here with the rank 1 science lab stuff making 13 different varients of SSTOs lifting several dozen tons in orbit while looking cool at the same time.

    No matter the actual OFFICIAL name, your latest and greatest SSTO will always have an affectionate “nickname” that eventually everyone in the program will call it. (Rather like the A-10 Thunderbolt is known to one and all as “The Warthog”.)
    It will be known as “The Flapjack”! 👍😁

      @@florisvdvelde5447 If you're referring to the classic experimental "The Flying Flapjack" of the 1940s - yes. that was a reference that Vaos' SSTO reminded me of (though in REVERSE - if you look at the shape of the 1940s Flapjack). It wasn't the ONLY thing I thought of. But it was a component. 😆

    Waw it feels so long since I saw your channel in my feed. I just finished watching it. I really do like the concept of your SSRT rocket and space plane world design. To me it feels very much like a parrarel universe where the kerbols just took a different path and this is how it would looks. To be honest the graphic mod enhancements with waterfall makes the game look so much better. I am stuck on playing ksp on console and I would love to have it looking the way your game looks.
    Recently I went back on some of your old videos on rovers. I got so inspired I created a new world where I create a various amount of very detailed rovers that are similar in style but still very much different, type of rover, it's use and styling to some degree. For example I have build a rover where the chair spins around and gets pushed back through the rear door which opens at the same time. Its really cool and I i took a lot of inspiration when you used batteries on the buttom of the craft and half covered them. To me that looks amazing. Lastly one of my other cool crafts I got inspired from a racing car looking rover and I designed a rover on a similar idea. Because it had so much battery capacity on the button I was able to put a lot of batteries which ensure a long journey travel. But since its a lunar rover I was able to get the craft to fly and orbit the moon. What I did was using the small side liquid fuel engines to get a tons of speed so that once in motion the craft can use it's stock ion engine to push it all the way to low moon orbit. I have enough fuel to travel to mars if I want. I made a cool engine dech and winced the batteries are on the buttom its very stable with moderate speed. Yeah I am really pround of them and I would love for you to see them. I think you would highly enjoyed testing them out.
    Before I forget. My suggestion for the name of your new craft is Genesis. Its meaning is
    Creation/beginng. In my mind this could be the first in line for medium heavy lift capability ssto in your world. It would be the base of new integrations for future ssto.
    My love for ksp aside, great video. I appreciate the time you spend creating content despite your tough schedule. Keep up the good work and please consider my idea for the name.

    This looks very cool I love the designs. The X-01 could be named the "stingray" beacause it looks like one. Somebody mention the "Hercules" I think thats a better name

    Literally spent 5 hours working on 1 SSRTO to carry up a 64t rockomax fuel tank to station in LKO 😂 only just made it but flies quite well. Definitely learnt how to make them from your videos 🤘🏻 keep up the good work

    I think I just came up with a new landing technique for space planes in a vacuum while watching this. I won't get to it immediately but I'll try describe it here in case you want to try it.
    1. When you close to landing (as close as you like) you need horizontal momentum. Parallel to the surface
    2. The top/roof of the ship needs to be pointed in the direction of motion
    3. The front should be pointed to space
    4. You then need to carefully use the main engine to rotate the craft to point retrograde so the thrusters can easily cancel out the remaining momentum
    Essentially you land backwards except now your engine can rotate the craft then cancel the momentum right before landing. You should ideally only fall a short distance.

      I've seen that exact technique used by more than one KSP RUclipsr. If you can train yourself for it and your SSTO is balanced well for it, then it is definitely a viable landing maneuver.
      I should add that it always helps is such situations to have at the very least a standard set of RCS thrusters. If possible use the higher powered ones that use fuel directly from the main fuel tanks as backups and landing thrusters that cushion any small drop down to landing even further. it ALSO helps to have robust landing gear with a bit of "spring" to them.

    VAOS, loved the video as always. I think you could call it the Hercules 🙌🏻 (maybe even Hercules B-2 😂) or if you want to keep the star bit you could call it the Protostar 🤔

    well the shape of the fuselages, almost looks like a triangle, and the greek letter delta also looks like a triangle, and maybe similar name to its predecessor ending with star, so maybe the "Delta-star" or something like that, but idk lol

    Hey VAOS! Great SSTO work! Have you heard of the mod KCS? It's a mod which allows for more effective stock space combat. It essentially adds AI modules for ships and missiles that allow them to engage autonomously. Thought you might be interested

    I can't wait to build the X-01 myself to see the stats like fuel efficacy and max payload wight. I took what I learned from recreating the Trident Star to build my own SSRT I call the Kestral with slightly more parts unlocked than you have (It uses a Mainsail to push it up with Panthers for assist and Powered Landing). I am really interested to see how they stack up.

    Call it "Tater Toaster" lol. Looks like you're roasting a big ole spud on top of your ssto as you're leaving the atmosphere.
    This one of the main reasons I haven't been playing KSP. I don't have the time to obsess over a project anymore.

    Could anyone help with my problem? I have Mk.2 based spaceplane weighing about 57t and climb at a rate of about 10-15 degrees and a far of 0.7. My craft has a COM towards the rear, as my fuel tanks are there and a COL in the middle ish. On this craft I have two whiplashes for low atmosphere and two darts for above 20,000, with one shock cone intake and adjustable intake radial per engine (unnecessary, but I did it because of my problem). The problem I have is that the air flow initially increases so that I can increase to about 300m/s, before it drops off rapidly so that I immediately lose speed and thus enter a sort of crushing speed of around 277m/s at a nose up attitude of 10 degrees, nowhere near adequate for a spaceplane. I do have a delta deluxe winglet in front of the intakes, but with a relatively large amount of separation. Should I try level flight to build up speed before increasing my AoA, for example?
    Sorry for the long post - not sure what is relevant or not.

      Try level flight about 100m high until you reach 400ms or so then let SAS take over and do nothing until your apoapses reaches 40 to 45k then click on prograde. (switch to rocket with jets die) After u reach 70,000+ apo kill the engine and coast to about 20 or 10 seconds out before you make an orbital insertion burn.
      If you’re still not able to gain seed it might be a drag problem or a TWR problem. COM should always be in-front of the COL or the craft will constantly want to flip and SAS will always be fighting it.
      I have an outdated how to build and fly an SSTO video with almost 100k views that you can look at. It’s old and needs a new revised version but the basics are there if you need help.

      @@vaos3712 thanks. I’m not sure if the problem is that I lose speed, and thus lose air flow or I lose air flow, then lose airspeed. It might be because of drag, but I’m not too sure what else I can do to decrease drag. I have fitted batteries solar panels etc. in a cargo bay, and have done your tip of putting an aerodynamic nose cone on an engine. I do have parachutes exposed, but I don’t think that it would affect it that much - would it be wings, control surfaces etc? I do have a twr of 0.7, which I believe is adequate and more than enough delta-v. My main problem is that I simply stop climbing beyond say 12,000 m as my airspeed is no longer adequate.
      I definitely do need to rectify my COL and COM though.

      @@vaos3712 The problem with the level flight is that it never wants to increase speed beyond 366ish m/s. It has to maintain a 5 degree nose up attitude for level flight, but I can’t see what the problem is.
