    This was a great video! One small bit of feedback: You put a lot of information right in the lower middle, the area of the subtitles. In this video, most of the years of existence were under the subtitles and you didn't verbally say those years. So, a lot of watch, pause, rewind, watch again (or maybe this was your master plan to increase play time).

    • @SignoreGalilei
      @SignoreGalilei  Год назад +45

    • @SignoreGalilei
      @SignoreGalilei  Год назад +4

      That's fair. I think what I said was accurate in that the British Monarchs rule over the islands because they are part of the Duchy of Normandy, and King Charles III is still Duke of Normandy in the Channel Islands. You are correct, though, in that there isn't a parliament of Normandy or anything like that, as Jersey and Guernsey have separate governments.

      @@SignoreGalilei The UK did not unilaterally split Ireland. Ireland fought a guerilla war for years against Britain, forcing them to the negotiating table. The Irish negotiators were unable to secure independence for the entire island and the result was the Anglo-Irish Treaty. There was/is a noticeable majority of protestant, pro-British people in what is now known as Northern Ireland. Britain retains control of this area. The monarchy effectively had no role in the Republic of Ireland from 1936 when the newly elected Irish president assumed most of the roles of the monarch. "Southern Ireland" is a phrase only used by people in the UK that know little to nothing of Irish politics. The Republic of Ireland has never gone by that title

    • @SignoreGalilei
      @SignoreGalilei  Год назад

      @@TheMock100 Yes, the whole point is that the republic currently known as Ireland (Republic of Ireland is a description, not the country's preferred name) never was called Southern Ireland. Southern Ireland was a separate entity that the UK created in the Government of Ireland Act 1920 that entirely failed to work. Southern Ireland even had a house of commons, which was over 95% composed of Sinn Fein MPs who refused to sit in it (and instead met as the Second Dáil), and thus only met once with the few unionist MPs and no one else.

    No hope In the world repent of evil don't trust in mankind for salvation or help trust Jesus Christ today
    Romans 6:23
    For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    Come to Jesus Christ today
    Jesus Christ is only way to heaven
    Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void
    Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today
    Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today
    John 3:16-21
    16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
    Mark 1.15
    15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
    2 Peter 3:9
    The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
    Hebrews 11:6
    6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
