The most impressive coaching based improvement is in defense of counters after loss of possession.
Everyone seems to A) hustling back with great effort and consistency plus B) that they all know where they are supposed to be hustling back to.
They are snuffing out opposition rushes much better.
Yeh, we retain numbers and keep the game compact where it needs to be and not racing up and down the pitch so much, this should be a really interesting season!

Anything on the atmosphere? I actually can't believe how quiet it was. How is it even possible with 60,000 people
50% tourists and people from outside the city, they don't know the songs or the lyrics.
Maybe the tickets should be cheaper so the working class people of Liverpool can afford to go to matches? The only way you can fix that atmosphere tbh
@@FSG.OUT. agreed. I know the old timers hate the idea, but the Kop needs a singing section. A place where young people can have cheap tickets, wave flags through out the match and actually support the team.
Trent needs to wind his neck in. Slot was shutting shop and making sure of the three points, absolutely no need to go in a strop. There'll be a crap load of games in the next 6 months. Thought Szobo and Diaz were boss, but Jota was poor - he needs to find his shooting boots.
Jota didn’t really have a clear cut chance and had an amazing assist to Diaz
If we're being honest, his attitude has been poor at times during the last few seasons, the way he sometimes looked like he couldn't be bothered and just stopped defending winded me up to no end, an obvious example being against Napoli's Kvara where he just stopped running

I was in shorts. Thought the weather was fine for them tbh. Up the Patient Reds.
I liked how when we were on the halfway line we would pass it back to our defence and play some passes to each other and draw Brentford out of their half meaning we could then try and attack, it was our biggest issue other the last few years when we have been trying to play through the entire opposition team.

Will judge after Old Trafford, thought Virg, Konate and Alisson were all great today could have easily conceded.
What team doesn't concead chances 😂? It's a football match what did you expect Brentford just to stick 11 men behind the ball the performance was calm and controlled much better to see

From 30 to 40 we were a bit like last year where we are too direct and Brentford get to grips with us without really challenging. Other than that, perfection

Good win but not sure about this style of play, Anfield was like a funeral parlour atmosphere wise. Will need to get more from some of these players, a few bad results and the crowd could turn. Onwards and upwards

I’m sure you said the same at the start of the 20/21 seasons where we didn’t sign a CB and capitulated. I’m sure you said the same at the start of the 22/23 season where we didn’t fix the midfield and had a disastrous season. Oh yeh one more thing, the minute gravenberch and macca get injured we’re left with endo who slot don’t rate and injury prone jones. Wake up.

It was another 3 points, it was boring, Anfield won't be the best supporters of this style.
Anfield is about 0.01% of the fan base mate. If this style wins football games then I’ll take it - it’s not like it’s Mourinho football anyway, we played some good stuff.
Nobody will mind if we win trophies and it seems more controlled. Loved Klopp but sometimes we were very vulnerable with the aggressive highline
