All this concern over the Transfer Window, and it seems Liverpool might have gotten the biggest transfer decision of the window right - Arne Slot looks the perfect replacement for Jürgen.
Slot has been handed the baton of an immense football club with the best squad in the league in my opinion. Klopp laid the foundations and built this club up into the modern era as a powerhouse after many years in the doldrums as “Also Rans”!. Now time for Slot to take it on to the next level with a calmer more controlled style of football. Hopefully Pep buggers off and we can win a bit more soon 🤞🏻
A lot of teams will not cope with an away game at Ipswich, but they caused us more problems than Utd did today. 2 away games, zero conceded. And we have not yet looked in real trouble in any of the games so far.
Good vibes here. Friday pint was way too negative about the prospect of this match. They are woeful and bar 2 complete anomalies last year we have their number. Smashed them. Easiest game of the season.
I'd have taken a draw. If we'd got one, or even lost by a small margin, you've got all the greatest hits and they're all valid. New manager, short pre-season, United desperate for a result, and all the rest of it. But Liverpool's coaches had successfully identified the issues United have had since the start of the season (if not longer) and set the team up to win the ball in central areas. United were given all the respect they deserve, none whatsoever. High press, get them making errors and the chances will come. It wasn't even a close contest, we had a lot of control and it felt a really professional job. In 90 minutes, the opposition will always have a spell but they never really amounted to all that much. We know we have a good team, a very good one even. But very good teams can go to Old Trafford and not beat them. Casemiro was awful and got hooked because he couldn't cope but their team wasn't set up to help him, blaming him sort of misses the point. We shouldn't get carried away, it's a very long season (especially with the extended Champions League) and the squad isn't ideal. But what a performance. The coaches and the players should be elated with that.
Liverpool were great & the better team who deserved to win without question. However, utd had some good chances & could easily have had a couple so still some work to do defensively imo as Alison saved us at least a couple of times. Although, it's only 3 games in so very positive signs so far but we shouldn't get carried away.
This is why i dont moan too much over transfers. Wait and see how the lads do. If Gravy gets injured and we finish 5th I'll criticise maybe, but until then I'm gonna back the players and have fun

Steady on! Three games, nine points, none conceeded. True. But against a newly promoted team. A home fixture against a team that finished below Everton last season having had two points deducted. And the shite half of that place down the East Lancs. The fixture list has been exceptionally kind this season until the end of October. Time to make hay while the sun shines.
An opening day fixture away against a newly promoted team is never kind mate. Going away to United third game of the season is definitely not kind, what a divvy 🤣
@@DavidB-py8nz Get real and don't go around calling people divvies. It's rude and you don't know who you're speaking to. Newly promoted teams might put in a competitive 45 to 60 min performance in their first half dozen PL games because they're not yet up to the pace of the league. And on Utd. You obviously haven't been watching them for the last 8 years. They're complete shite. In the last 13 PL games since they last beat us in March 2018 at OT the aggregate score is 32-8.

Ten Hag wont be manager on boxing day, not that I want him sacked but I cant see him lasting with RVN lurking in the background.

It's almost like this United team including Ten Hag don't understand that 80% of the game happens between the two boxes and not only in the two boxes.
