I'm a wagonist too!:) I've actually got the same wagon (van according to TOYOTA), but a four-door. It's the last iteration/facelift of the #E7# series and was in production till 1987 and was primarily built for commercial purposes. Mine's an '86. It's bone stock but she's being restored to 'factory original' condition...not commonly seen nowadays! I love how I can just drop the rear seat and make it into a flatbed!
Thanks! It's got a 4K gasoline engine with about 80BHP. I'm in two minds about the engine swap though; I want it to be factory-original, but I'd love some more power as well! The engine found on the CE7# is the TOYOTA 1C which is a very basic and underpowered powerplant! The updated version is the 2Cwhich has 1800cc and is not turbocharged, but there are several iterations of this engine as well. Look around for TOYOTA Hi-ace and town-ace vans with these engines if you're after parts.
He was the first (and currently last) person to win D1 in an AE86 in 2002 and second D1 winner, The first ever person who won D1 was Nobuteru Taniguchi in 2001 in an S15.
@DragStripDominator he uses 264 cuz it makes a balanced engine after experimenting with high duration he found that the engine was unbalanced and went back to smaller cams
@dirtymyk this was his earlier ae86 before d1 i believe he uses a stock ae86 with a set of coilovers his practice car cuz he says its best to practice and learn in a underpowered car
they still use a spacer, watch the video of asano san, from techno pro spirits, he still tapes a 1/4" spacer to the strut insert even though they ARE shortened! type in ae86 club,or similar, ita a good watch!

Look at all those clutch kicks!! He must just piss through them....
My friend's got an 85 Corolla. Definitely not a fast car or an easy car to make power out of, but it's fun as hell with a welded diff. :)
look how easy he throws that 86 around! clutch kicking at its finest! XD
toda 82 pistons, and ae101 crankshaft

thats because its a fuel surge tank using cheap slip on braided lines over rubber hoses.
That's why he is called the professor!!!
