Enjoyed the review overall. But how many times do you have to compare a bottom price range car with a high end EV like the Kia or Hyundai? The comparison should have just stayed with similar price cars like the MG4 and BYD Dolphin. My 2 cents worth. 😊

The driver monitoring system does NOT work in this car in NZ and Australia, only works in the GT model. It is supposed to work but GWM China don't have a fix for it. They have been trying to fix my cars DMS for 8 months now. it is not a 5 star ANCAP safety without the driver monitoring system working. please share for the safety of ORA drivers. It has been recalled in Australia now due to a charging problem that could kill you.

@@hookey1000it was such an awful car with the software especially. I got rid of it after a few months. BYD Dolphin is superior.

You can just say: I don’t recommend you to buy this car. I found some of the reviews from your channel were being really biased 😅 Now it’s a bit better since you didn’t mention Chinese for 80 times in a review 😂

How can you compare the Ora with a Kia EV 6.Almost a $40.000 dollar price difference!
There is nothing wrong with the indicators on an Ora. More like the reviewer was never shown how they work of could not be bothered to have a quick look at the manual where their operation is described.

You shouldn't need to look up how to use an indicator lol...

@@fullboost Is it worth a critique in a review. If someone is about to buy a car they don't base the purchase on if they need to take literally 2 seconds to learn how to use a simple function. People are not sitting in their car 6 years in thinking damn i should have taken 2 seconds to learn this simple function.
Something like that would only be worthy to be in a review if it wasn't a issue of just taking a second learning a simple function but an actual trouble some design which didn't disappear by simply using it correctly.

The indicators are a problem. They are more fiddly to operate than ordinary indicators and my wife hates the pinky-ponk sound. She would not have let me buy the car if she had heard it. I should add that there is a lot going for the car but there are some very irritating detail things which must be costing them a lot of sales and which I think they are addressing.

I wanted one but the comments on the owners groups have led me to believe that this is not quite up to scratch. Many owners are happy with their Ora, but there are too many electronics gremlins and GWM is not engaging owners at all, with some dealers being relatively clueless. That speaks to a poor after sales culture. Disappointing as this car was on my list. I despise MG (SAIC sucks) and BYD has a messed up warranty setup.

I am really annoyed this beautiful colour is NOT available in the UK! They also scrapped nebula (sage) green. I hate the current colour opinions, so I am going to wait.

At 35k in the UK not sure I would say that is affordable to most every day people. Its way over priced.

The standard range Ora Good Cat is selling for about A$36K in Australia and is starting to pick up reasonable sales.

18 inch wheels are not designed for a “supple” ride. They’re designed for looks at the expense of comfort over potholes. Try to get it right 🤷‍♂️

Just hop on an electric train🚋 is a one way ticket to cheap and safe public transportation runs on electricity good for the environment instead of batteries running on empty.
