Great review 👏🏻 finaly someone showed how does the app looks like, what data it offers, how navigation inside the watch works. Helped me lot to finally decide switching to Coros from Garmin. Thanks a lot!
Great review! I think you missed to SHOW how navigation works in real use, like reaction time, or accuracy. Is the navigation map always there when you raise your hand, or just statistics? Battery life with GPS seems fantastic, it's like 9 days with 8 hours of hiking per day, nice! It's worth to mention that Kilian Jornet who is number 1 in world of trail running, he's using Coros watches 🙂
Hi Filip and thanks 🙏🏻 and yes you are right, it’s difficult to do a perfect review and to cover all areas and your questions are good 👍🏻 the accuracy is very difficult to look into, I have seen a lot of comparisons but you get mixed results. For hiking it is more than enough and like you say, if pro users like Kilian Jornet and more uses it it proves the point! But absolutely something I maybe should have talked about. The map is always ON when in the navigation mode (you start both an activity AND navigation) 👍🏻 Statistics you get shown like every 5 or 10 minutes automatically (I think you can choose how often, nor sure) I will try remember your questions for next review… I hope I will be able to try the Vertix 2 as well during spring! Thanks for watching and glad you like the review!
Hi, could you tell me why not Suunto 7 Titanium Stone Gray that has a map navigation? It is much cheaper than Garmin and Coros. Did you test others smartwatches with map for hiking? Thanks.
Hi 👋🏻 good question! I haven’t tried Suunto myself… but have a friend using one and he’s complaining a bit about adding routs and stuff, it’s a bit more complicated compared to COROS. Last time we hiked we ended up using mine, even if he planned it and wanted to use the Suunto. 🤷🏼♂️ I would say COROS and GARMIN is the way to go… both really good watches and easy to use.
@@roberthammenrudh thank you for quick answer. Just a moment ago I saw a Garmin Forerunner 955 in similar price. The build is plastic only but the maps what I heard are better with useful points of interest. They have Climpro feature. I have never opportunity to compare these featutes with Coros apex 2 pro. Do you have any opinion on that?
Thanks 🙏🏻 and absolutely, it’s a Swedish brand (I think) called 8848 Altitude and insulated with Primaloft. Picked it up a couple of years ago and they don’t make it anymore. The closest one is the Vannoy, and very similar to the one I have. www.8848altitude.com/se/herrklader/jackor/vannoy-primaloft-jacket-black
Yeah, absolutely! You can zoom in and out and see your exact location. Also bread crumb navigation so you can’t get lost. I use it on all my hikes for navigating since I bought it and love it!
🤣😄 You spend €€€€€s to buy ultralight stuff to save a few grams on other kit and then you wear a watch the size of Big Ben in London. It looks like a great toy though.
Haha yeah 😄 but not that big actually and only 53 grams so one of the lightest watches in the category… but the best part… a watch is not included in the base weight 👍🏻😂 It’s a toy for sure but like to have the map and directions in there while hiking and most of us ware a watch anyways so 🤷🏼♂️🙂

Glad you liked it and that it helped in your decision towards and new watch! 🙂👍🏻

...does the apex 2 have a flashlight widget ... or at least a way for the display to be just blank bright?
No. But the display is bright enough to work as a flashlight for a couple of seconds with just a quick press… use it all the time and a great feature!

Excellent video in comparison to the Americans who speak at a ridiculous speed with distracting background music.

Hi where I can buy this green version vertix2pro?
Well this ain’t the Vertix but the Apex 2Pro… which is available in green, black and a grey I think 🤔 don’t know about the Vertix.
Informativ, bra video👍🏻👍🏻
Stort tack för det, kul du gillade den 👍🏻🙂
Nice video!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
no weather widget ?
No, there is no built in weather forecast or anything like that else then the storm alert.
It’s in the new update coming out Dec 6th which also includes their own version of garmin pacepro feature and overnight HRV
