322. Fluid Art - Big, Bold, Beautiful (Deconstructed) Bloom / art therapy / bloom recipe

Hi everyone! In today's episode of fluid art paint pouring with yours truly; I will demonstrate the deconstructed bloom technique (see bloom recipe below) on a 16”X20” Fredrix Convexo canvas. What is the deconstructed bloom technique? It's creating a SheleeArt style bloom (or several), and using the cells and lacing created and "wrecking" them in such a manner (usually by tilting the canvas) until the blooms are no longer recognizable--or there are only portions left. Why do this? The cells and lacing help me create a hopefully pleasing abstract composition by manipulating the best parts of the bloom! It's quite fun and you can get some amazing results! For this video; I selected on of the cell activator colors from the last video to deconstruct, then I will tilt and stretch until I'm pleased with the overall look. Colors/Brands/Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the canvas:
Glidden Essentials Eggshell White House paint (Home Depot) 4 cup batch mixed with 1/4 cup Golden GAC800 to prevent crazing
Pouring Medium aka PM-mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Sherwin Williams HGTV Ultra Deep Base UNtinted house paint (it's been discontinued but you can substitute with Behr Interior/Exterior High Gloss Enamel DEEP Base #8300 (Home Depot)); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss varnish ; 2:1 ratio paint to varnish
Brands/Colors mixed: Golden Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Violet and Benzimidazolone Yellow Medium; several drops into a 3 oz. cup of PM; Amsterdam Turquoise Green, Primary Elements ColourArte Pigments in Sweet Tooth and Firefly; This Little Pigments in Sockeye. 1/8th tsp. into 3 oz. PM.
Cell Activator (last color on your puddle before you swipe or blow it out-no PM):
Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Permanent Blue Violet; 4:1 ratio Floetrol to paint

Wowsers, those colors are awesome! Love the purple cell activator. Yummy I really like the final results on the Convexo canvas, but you certainly had to fight with those corners.

At about 16.40 time stamp out looked like a solid of you painting then after you tilted it out looked like a unicorn. Pretty cool the things I see in paintings. It's like shapes in clouds.

I was really sad that you dropped the first one but I love this one too. I like it best the first way you had it sitting when dry, but would have to look at it longer to really decide. Its bright and airy and the aqua really makes those colors pop, good addition.
