I had a yamaha yzf 600 thundercat as my first bike!! They are brilliant if just starting out and keep up with most bikes. 0-60 is 3.5 sec and top speed 159mph so plenty to play with!! Also perform just as good when restricted to 36bhp (usually 101 bhp) get a thundercat!!!!!!!

have you ever ridden an R1? i had one and they are so powerful, short and light that even without a turbo taking off in first gear she wants to point her nose at the sky, and doing a 1km wheelie inst particularly fast, once he get the front wheel to stay planted over 200kph he reels in the v-twin easy as. this is the reason turbo R1's are rare, they're way too insane. Ride a 1000cc bike at any stage without a turbo and they are insane, adding a turbo is crazy, crazy awesome tho. :)
atleast he's wearing a helmet. and it doesnt really matter what you wear anymore, when you go down with about 200kmh with those trees etc next to the road
@MustangMan427 Considering its a VTR wich is a twin and in turn not really meant for high speeds at the top end , yeah it did great. Love twins, great torque ect, not so fantastic at the top end up its a good trade off in most cases.,
Nope, It's an Honda VTR SP-1, or RC-51 as it's called outside Europe. The R1 is an "line-4" and the SP-1 is a twin, therefore the difference in sound. But yes, both are 4-stroke.

Turbo just made the highest speed come faster, yet not too far from an original R1. The other guy made it in Saanich but many idiots were scared and started calling up 911. In this country, they can have an accident even driving at 50 Km/h. I will have an accident too because my car is too slow until I fall asleep behind the steering wheel.
@CooKIExMownSter Really up to you, there r many choises. I myself went from a moped (50cc) to Yamaha R6 (600cc) and Im saticfied. Just take it cool at the beginning.
