  • Hey it’s Eli, I’m back..
With hopefully some things You too can work into Your Layout.
I figured out this method years ago, & it is a nice aspect to have at your Raily Fingertips.
I have done my best to show this “Step by Step”. Hadn’t done one in years, so bare w/ me as I’m a bit rusty. I have tried to be thorough & somewhat quick, though to the depth I’m describing/ showing this it just takes up time. Soooo, if this is something you’re interested in, I hope you’ll patiently sit through 17 mins of me blabbing on…
    Hope Y’all enjoy…
    Thanks for Watching!
(Yes I was rebuilding 3, but only showed the one. Save Y’all from more of the Blah’s 😜)

great video and layout. I believe this is what I was looking for to use on my barrel loader without using track voltage. with my zw should be able to the variable voltage settings. it's tedious work but worth the effort. and I liked you music also it makes working better IMHO.

Glad to have found this video. If the R C tracks are wired this way the remote power system is only controlling the unload and uncouple functions and not the track power needed to have the engine continue across this tack without cycling the e unit..., correct?

With this wiring configuration, I’m guessing you have to use fiber pins and also lock the e-unit in forward? Nice video Ely. Not as scary as photos you’ve posted of the controllers parts in pieces.

Excellent video, I think using independent power for accessories is great. Those controllers can be a booger to work on.

I've seen that track before, and wondered what it is used for!

Couldn't hear what you are saying because of music noise..

What part/s did you not understand, Roger?

Cold-solder joints bad! Need soft pads on vice teeth no chance of piercing insulation. Use vice to hold pieces during soldering not fingers Will help to study solder connections.

These solder joints are just fine… 🙄

    Why? What is the advantage?

    • @flintrockvalley
      @flintrockvalley  2 года назад +2

      Why… because Why Not!
By wiring it in this manner, you can have a train sitting there w/ zero power to the rails & said transformer not even turned On, yet the track section is still powered & operational from a completely different transformer.
Call it a fun & helpful upgrade if you’d like.

Background music is redundant, distracting, and actually unnecessary. But I appreciate your tutorial.

Though, greatly appreciate your helpful feedback, Sir!
