i am cuban and i am very familiar with this bike, my dad was awarded a karpaty 50cc (apologies for not knowing how to write it). That was my house life line, my father, my mother and I all 3 of us in a 50cc, he burned the clutch, karpatys were notorious for that so he when back to his shop and did the 2 pressure plate set up the Verkhovyna had. When I was 9 he upgraded to his big bike as we called it, a minsk 125cc which he coverted to a 150cc swaping the cylinder from an old mz ts 150cc....I love this bikes, big and small, they are part of my cuban life, many many km's from Russia....awesome video

My first bike was this type, in 1981... I thought about, during watch the video, that this is not restoration, because you not made factory state back. But it is better than a new one in the 80's :-) The motor was so weak, and there was a lot of other problem. Only one that I liked, its shape, and that it was mine. :-) Thank you for the memories!

She looks graceful even in unrestored state. I loved the motorbike era when design was pleasing to the eye as well as efficient and functional. Now the makers just cover up the motor and works with plastics. No art in that.

It made me chuckle a couple of times! :) You'll have to work on your mechanical / painting skills a bit, but that will come with time. The casing and con-rod were cracked, huge bearing play. Subtitles said he therefore decided to scrap the engine, and showed chucking it on the scrap pile. :)

As a custom paint job for the gas tank, it would have been cool to had put a ghost hornet nest patern in the paint, since you had so many nest on this bike.🤠👍

Üdvözlet. A meglévő eszközeiddel,és a kitartásoddal,remek munkát végeztél.Igaz, nem eredeti színében, fényezted. Én ,Magyalországon élek,a '70-'80-as években, sok volt, nálunk is ezekből,és a Riga-ból is. A Karpati és Delta-ból ,már kevés,mert nem kellett senkinek. Sajnos, nagyon minőségtelen,megbízhatatlan, motorok voltak. A legrosszabbak voltak ,az akkori / KGST /-mopedek közül. Azt is meggondolták,hogy 3 faluval odébb ,elinduljanak e vele.Sok példány ,még 1000-km-t, se futott. Egyedül, a 2-kereke ért valamit,mert abból, kézikocsit építettek. 3 db áráért, adtak egy, DDR-Simson-t. Na azok,nagy számban , még most is futnak,sőt vissza is viszik, Németországba. Ott ,egy jó állapotú-ért, akár 2500 euro-t is fizetnek. Jó volt a videó,vissza emlékeztem gyerek,és srác koromra. Köszönet érte. További kitartó munkát kívánok. Üdvözlettel :Gábor
