    Shalom Rabbi Jacobson,
    Blessings! I just wanted to say that this day is already here. There is a large segment from within Esav/Edom (Rome) which sees the divinity of am Yisrael, of the tzadikim and Hasidim. B”H
    How do I know? Because I am one from among Esav who has come to this realization. I am a Ger (toshav) within your gates.
    B”H

Now I consider myself spiritual at 50yo. Back when I called myself a Christian we were taught that the Jews were Gods chosen people so I have always had a respect for Jews. I study all religions and my judgments I had in the past for certain sects Christianity have disappeared. Who am I to Judge anyone. You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for your passionate delivery . May God bless you Rabbi .

      Hello Ben,you seem to have found clarity on the concept but I haven't. Would you help me see what you see? Surely the Rabbi is not quoting from the bible (as I have come to know it) but some Jewish or Hebrew ancillary book and I couldn't make out its name since I am not familiar with most books he's been quoting from. I am a gentile of African descent and am keen to understand scripture from the Hebrew perspective and I hope you could be of help. If you like or could, may I have other writings that could clear this fog from my spiritual eyes? I want to understand the ways of Hashem and don't want to dive into something with some doubtful fundamentals.

      @@mphomuthubi7453 Guess who gave the name "Moses" in the Bible? An African princess gave the name and G-d used that name ever since. The Rabbis of old said, G-d used the name the African princess gave, to show the dearness before G-d of converts to Judaism. Always remember who gave the name "Moses."

    • @benavraham4397
      @benavraham4397 2 года назад +1

      @@mphomuthubi7453 I was not entirely satisfied with the rabbi's story that in past generations, that some Jews have been inclined to identify their leading rabbi with G-d Himself. It was an interesting presentation, but most Jews DO NOT go looking around to identify a particular person with G-d.
      Chabad/Lubavitch puts an enormous emphasis on being connected to THE Rebbe. They point out from ancient sources how close Moses was to G-d. Moses is called the "man of G-d," and that means Moses was the intermediary between man and G-d in his time, and that in each and every generation, there is a single leader of the Jewish people who has a spark of the soul of Moses in him, and he is the intermediary of his time.
      Looking at this individual is like looking at G-d Himself, but he is not G-d. It's like looking at someone in a mirror. You see just what the person looks like, but it is the mirror you are looking at, not the person.
      Over the past 1700 years, nobody kept tract of who the leader of the Jewish people was. Then 230 years ago, Chabad/Lubavitch started, and the followers of this Hasidic movement claimed that their Rebbes just happened to be the leaders of all Jews, each in his time. Now, they say he the Messiah also, and everyone Jew should be informed.
      If the Rebbe is not the Messiah, it doesn't matter, because he tells every Jew to live according to the Tora, and so nothing can go wrong. The Rebbe also says that non-Jews should be encouraged to believe in G-d and live moral lives.

    And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant? And the captain of the LORD's host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

    I have been relishing the Rabbi until now. Let me express my ignorance and hope for a clear answer. When he says the history of the Jews goes back to Adam and Eve,what does that in fact mean? If the Jews are a product of Jacob and Jacob came long after Abraham,who himself wasn't a Jew but Hebrew,how is that possible? Secondly,if the Jews,according to the Jewish calendar,have been some five thousand years on earth and the Chinese claim to have been around some four thousand years - the two assertions,if you will seem to negate the very existence of the pagan tribes that preceded both the Chinese and the Jews namely the Inhabitants of Kemetic tribes collectively known as Egyptians or Mizraim, Ethiopians and Sudanese whose civilization,culture,education and religion, most cultures have emulated or have carved theirs from. Thirdly,the anecdotes or history around the pyramids surely goes back thousands of years before the Jews and the Chinese? And if anthropology has anything to be believed, every nation is said to come from Africa and if that is a fact yet to be disputed,how is a 'parent younger than the child' . If Avram set forth from the Chaldea or present day Iraq and was not a Jew but ,according to some sources,got the name Avram because he crossed over the Tigris and Euphrates and established himself in a new country where he found many other tribes or nations,how is it that his offsprings are said to be what he wasn't? Thirdly, Adam and Eve, according to your teaching,would be Jews? I am really confused by this assertion and would appreciate someone to clear this fog from my gentile mind. And to conclude my inquiry,what in your knowledge and culture is a Jew and Israelite and I base my question on what Shlomo Sands had said in his book " The Invention of the Jewish People" : There are no Jews but Israelites? Please I am dying to get clarity and I must say I enjoy the Rabbi's analytical prowess and Rabbi Tovia Singer has been a huge asset in dispelling most of what we,as former christians,been fed through a barrage of mistranslations and mis -intepretations.

      The Jewish calendar begins w the creation of Adam and Eve. They were not Jewish.
      The first Jew was Abraham, he was called a Hebrew according to Jewish tradition because he stood on one side of the culture of the time across from almost everyone else. The name Jew (Yehudi) apparently derives from the tribe of Judah which remained after the destruction of the northern kingdom of Israel.
