Dave, it is easy for us to spend your money. But please, spend the $150-250 for an Automatic/Manual Inflatable Life Jacket, and then wear it. You fish by your in big water, often with current. I/we just want you safe.
You need one of the auto inflate vests, I hardly even notice I have it on. Please wear a vest, a whole lot of people drown every year that "Didn't need one" 😢
On my big dip net I removed the hand grip and slid a wooden dowel rod inside the length of the shaft. It adds to the stability by not allowing the pole to bend as your netting the big ones. It also adds to the buoyancy if you drop it out of the boat. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video!
Dave ! I’m sure you are a good swimmer !! But it’s too dangerous to be out on water that swift without a life jacket !! Please !! Please !!! Get you a blow up life jacket and wear it every time you leave the bank !!! It’s the best investment you can make !! It just takes one minor getting off balance and you are gone out into the water !!!! My wife and I are 84 yrs old !! We fish 5 days a week ! We wear ours !!! Please wear yours !!! Leon and Judy with ( gardening with Leon ) on utube !! We came from Okla to Tenn to meet you but couldn’t get in touch with you !!! We still caught 40 lb fish in the Tenn river !!! Had fun but came home without getting to meet you !!!
No disrespect just a tip for new anglers when he brought the rod closer to the camera to show the drag peel then moved the rod back to the fish without reeling can be enough slack to let a fish get off. Especially in current
Bumping seems like a fun way to catch fish. The problem appears to be fighting the current. Still it appeared to be a good day on the river! Thanks for the video and taking us fishing Dave!
Not to imply that I know anything... but do you need more weight on the line, Dave ? I always use a heavier sinker (in current) so my line is almost straight up and down while "bumpin", so it won't get hung up.
