Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. Lake Havasu certainly grabbed my interest. Seems like housing could be cheaper and one of my goals is standing paddle boarding. 😮
Can you make a vid about San Tan Valley?
What about sierra vista?
AZ is fast becoming much like CA with liberal socialists infesting the state. Can't wait to get out of this once beautiful state ruined by CA demonicRATS.
If I had a choice, Prescott is the town, so cute.
I grew up in the Phoenix North Central corridor however after college I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. After 30 years I decided to move back to the Phoenix metro area.
When looking for a home I wanted to be a bit out of Phoenix and found a beautiful home in North Peoria off the 303 and Jomax. I LOVE the area!!! At night you can hear the howling from the coyotes and at times I’ve seen the groups of burros roaming the area.
Being ~20 minutes from Lake Pleasant is a dream for me.
Happy 4 U.
good pick, best part of the valley
Welcome back! Hello from my 17 in Joe Max. Just down the street. What a big difference from San Francisco. I grew up near 16th St. and Bethany home and went to Madison one. I also went to Camelback high school.
Jeff!! You’ve been sorely missed! 🥹 so happy to have you back from your travels! You are the ultimate Arizona channel! You create such a magical ambience with your videos! Welcome back home! What’s the name of the country music you played on the into? I’m obsessed!
TY for making this video. Orig. from MidWest; moved to Sedona, which was a lifetime dream; stayed close to a decade & moved on up to Flagstaff to enjoy the COOLER temps! Came for 6 mos. & 8 yrs. later: I'm still here. I keep saying I want to find somewhere else to spend the winters, it sure does get COLD here & plenty of Snow! I stay b/c I LOVE all the Pine & Aspen Trees & the CLEAR FRESH AIR! Sure is expensive tho!
We picked Oro Valley and it’s been great!! Best decision I have ever made.
We moved to Yuma, Arizona from New Jersey. We love it in the winter.
I miss AZ -haven’t been since 2012. I first came in 1996 and pop was around 1.5M -no 101 no 202 just the I17 and the 51. Its shocking how big PHX is now! I love your vlogs makes me want to come back! 👏😃
A video showing best places in South East Phoenix with no HOAs would be great.
I'm a simple man I see Living In Arizona Now videos I hit like.
Great video. Flagstaff is my favorite place. Sure would like a video like this for the state of Michigan.
I really needed this video, so thank you
We are looking to move from Oklahoma to Arizona and are looking at the Prescott or Flgastaff area so we found this video helpful. Thank you.
Yes, please more videos on best places for rv's year a round and what amenities they have. You really do a good job!!
Love these kind of videos. Absolutely, the names of the cities that we've never heard of and the population really helps thank.
This video was so informative thank you!
Payson 🌲 Arizona is a great place to live. Small town..nice people..surrounded by beautiful forest. Your going to see elk in your front yard. Mild seasons. Rim country is beautiful but it's gotten pretty pricey home wise. 🌲🌲🦌
Is there any ameities there like a Walmart, Home Depot?
@mitch5077 Yes there is a Walmart and a Home Depot.
@@mitch5077 Yes all those are available near there. I lived there. It's lovely
I've missed these uploads
I love Arizona. It’s the most beautiful place to me ❤️🙏🏻
Thanks I have been to Sedona a few times. Very nice. Scottsdale was nice, but awful warm. Still have Flagstaff on my list of places to visit.
I've had a few beers at that bar on the river when on the Laughlin River Bike Run! All great places 👍 Merry Christmas Jeff ! Also camped in 1970 in Lake Havasu when the bridge was being built. It was at the Inboard/Outboard boat championships.
Sedona, Village of Oakcreek. Best little community in the high desert IMHO. Thx, Jeff!
I lived in Ahwathukee for two years and I liked it very much.
North Glendale rocks! Close to Lake pleasant and can go north to anywhere in Az. Payson is also beautiful. Been here in Arizona since 1976. Have seen it grow. Will never be the same again but as long as we have healthy water, I love having the choice to live here!!
Lake Havasu looks beautiful
Looooove your videos! Relocated from San Diego to Pinetop/Lakeside/Show Low area of AZ 5 years ago. Would love a video covering this gorgeous North East White Mountain area :-) Thank you!
For retirees can check out Saddlebrooke. North edge of Tucson area. Much cooler than phoenix in foothills catalina mountains north side. Multiple amenity complexes a big performing arts theater.
I'd choose Cave Creek, but I sure couldn't afford it! It's beautiful out there and I love the desert. Yes, I know it's hot there, don't care! Some day I'll move there instead of visiting every year!
We bought in Surprise almost 2 yrs ago. 303/Waddell area. We love it!
Would love to see a video on Gilbert, AZ. I hear that it has grown so much since I lived in AZ 15 years ago
Yes it has! Been here almost 30 some years. You should come back & check out downtown Gilbert around where Joe's BBQ is. It's restaurant row there now & it's a happening place!
Chandler & Gilbert are both nice towns for retiring or raising a family!
I love Greer
I have always enjoyed visiting Sedona and Flagstaff, but the Tucson area would check the most boxes for me.
Loving winter here in Tucson
11:30 one of my favorite places I've yet to see in Arizona, my best friend used to live there before relocating to eastern US, havasu is honestly a great town and im grateful it made this list
Always wanted to visit Sedona , but Flagstaff looks interesting also
Well hello Jeff! Welcome back, you were missed!
Prescott is my favorite! Sedona is very nice. My family live in LHC. No more toys, it's no fun.
Love the Cowboy theme music in the background 🐴🎼
Love Fox's floating bar in Parker! Been there many times. I live in LHC and it's our go to spot on the river
Havasu City is my favorite by far :-) Like an Oasis in the desert
Been waiting fir new videos 🤔😁
Loving your videos! Will you please make a video showing 55t+ communitues around/in Tucson, Sedona & Flagstaff? Am not interested in golf courses, rather: one story small or townhouse, pool, workout facilities & fenced patio, artsy community. Safe & friendly. Am now living in midwest & really don't know how to find a place without extensive time spent!! THANK YOU!
Hey Jeff yes that's a good idea show the retirement housing resorts
Green Valley AZ has all of that and it's only a half hour from Tucson.
We just bought a house in LHC and we love it!!!
Good morning!!
What’s up jeff merry Christmas
Nice Destination...
God willing could you do Vail, Arizona? May God bless you to remain vibrant, tranquil and at peace
In '17 we moved from Seattle area & bought 2.4 acres in unincorporated Prescott intending to build a strawbale home. Then we met the Yavapai County building dept. End of that dream. We refused to work with those people & their insane regulations. Sold our land & bought a home in Chino Valley. We love it here! It's so far off people's radar we feel safe & secure like never before! It's a town built around a highway & farms. Very unassuming. Some even say unattractive. We don't care. We're old & have seen it all. This secluded rural life is truly awesome. So what if we have weeds? We also have rabbits & lizards, hummingbirds, doves & raven galore. NO SLUGS! Wide open skies, friendly helpful neighbors...We couldn't be happier. 👍
If I won the lottery, I would pick Flagstaff, AZ to be the best place to live. The elevation and the change of weather makes this location a winner.
I'd like to see a video on Glendale, Arizona.
Maricopa AZ "the town, not county"
That sits SE between Phoenix and Tucson, just 20 minuts south of Chandler.
We have lived here the past 6 years, and let me tell you. It is GROWING. You're greeted by NEW city-scape and a Grand entrance"M" decorative sign to the town. City of Maricopa is pitting TONs of money into reshaping it into the place to be. As a U.S Army Vet I feel at home as this is the highest concentrated area of Veterans in the USA. Huge selection of homes, and Downtown had a very good selection of resteraunts and stores. Many more are currently being built as well.
Town of MARICOPA should be you NEW #1
Sierra Vista, AZ is also a good place to be. If I want to go to a big city, Tucson is only and hour away, you can get from one side of the city to the other in 10 minutes or less. I like it here, you might also. Thank You Sir. THE SARGE
As long as it isn't in an HOA, all these places are good and Wickenburg has a theme park now and will be expanding.
I live in havasu. It it a cool place to live but there is really no good shopping they have alot of restaurants, an if u need medical care forget it, u have to travel to kingman Phoenix bullhead or Las vegas an never go to the er here emergency go to kingman .
Otherwise it's a nice place to live.
Prescott
I have done alot of research on Prescott and something keeps me going back there in my thoughts. People say it's expensive there to look at Chino Valley, Thoughts? I'm in Carson City and the cold is killing me.
I love these videos because even though my plans got pushed back to next fall/winter to head to this beautiful state to live. My only problem is I am on disability and can't afford most places to call home
Enjoy watching both your channels(Island Hopper & Living in AZ Now). Not a big fan of city living. I live down here in SE AZ (southeast of Tuscon near Benson) in little town of St. David. ( Tombstone is less than 20 miles from here). Sedona is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing video though. : )
Never imagined leaving Texas but I want to retire in Cochise County
@@reaperman345 be careful, they're having water problems..
Have you ever done anything on Green Valley, AZ? I'm retired single Senior woman and torn between moving to the Verde Valley area or Lake Havasu City after watching your video. I currently live in Tucson and don't like it here any longer. I've been here 25 years. I like lakes, small towns, but it would have to have good medical facilities. Any suggestions?
Before you move or visit Phoenix keep in mind that the homeless problem here has gotten worse. The homeless are EVERYWHERE! You can't get away from them!
It’s bad in Tucson as well.
That’s every major city in the country due to INFLATION
@@carlife_710 Border issue has caused a great huge problem in Tucson. Crime has doubled in the past year and a half.
It's not the border (although the border presents an assortment of issues). It's mainly drugs. All the people I've called the city on in my central Tucson neighborhood have been junkies putting up tents in the park. Rising home prices are a big part of the issue too. Tucson used to be affordable. Also the wages in Tucson traditionally suck. People were celebrating twelve dollar an hour jobs Amazon was bringing in a few years back. Those jobs should've paid 20 an hour.
@@sandratorresbeltran8666 true but nothing compared to Cali cities
Planning on moving to Tucson next year! Originally from Cleveland OH and been living in Raleigh NC but looking for something very different than where I’ve been. Hoping my Spanish becomes more fluent and i Can find fellow Lebanese folk to connect with!
@touchofjade4834 . I'm from Puerto Rico and I'm looking to start a new life in a new place away from the same cultural practices from where I'm coming.
Could you explain your point of view if why NC it's not a good place?
Try saddlebrooke active adult on north edge. If retiree ?
Second is great.
I'm looking to move to Arizona, what part of Arizona has the best weather
In general you can break AZ cities into big and small w/small towns having a lot of charm and outdoor activities, but quite limited in what they offer otherwise (Verde Valley, Sedona, Prescott, etc). You can also divide AZ into northern and southern. Anything further north than about 45 mins north of Phoenix is somewhere between cold and freezing in the winter with mild summers. Southern AZ has mild winters, but brutally hot summers. The most temperate areas would likely be east of Phoenix toward the N.Mexico border including Payson, Strawberry, Globe/Miami, Springerville, etc. But be careful as this area includes the White Mountains and any community in the W.Mountains is going to be freezing in the winter.
The Verde river headwaters are in Prescott watershed
I would consider moving to AZ if there were more UFO activity like the Phoenix lights.
Gilbert and Chandler. I'm moving from upstate NY and my mom lives in Albuquerque. I want to be close to all the major cities
Extremely too hot to live in Arizona 123 degrees or more 🥵
phht. 8 months at 75 or 80. Winter sucks. 2 months above 100
Some areas of the valley have a lot more scorpion activity. Do your research because they are resilient 🦂
How about Douglas? Good weather and prices.... what's not to like?
We were just in Arizona last week for vacation and fell in love with this state, I really like the San Tan West area, I would like to see a video on this area, we are hoping to move here in 2 years, love your videos!
South Tempe would be my choice. The 85284 zip code has the highest income per capita.
I wish I can return to AZ soon. My job is keeping me in CA. And don't be too worried of the Californians, moving to AZ. They're escaping a poorly led state. Let's hope that virus (of bad management) doesn't invade AZ.
They are the virus. Kalipornia's government is merely the symptom caused by the virus that is now running away because the host is dying.
Wife an I retiring in 5 years we like wickenburg and verrido. What u think about those areas?
I love my Preskit
You gotta do Yuma AZ
RV parking lot with Walmart
Serious question. I’m wanting to move to Tempe/Scottsdale. Is it okay for a Mexican single dad to move there? Thanks for taking this seriously.
Hey, how about Tolleson since I am moving there
California weàlthy left the US and moved to Portugal. Cascais, same temperature as Socal
No one have mentioned, TOLLESON, Cashion, Richfield,,. These town or cities are still I hope😮
I'm a Texan currently in PDX that's looking to move to the PHX area and I'm interested in Prescott and the areas between there and North Scottsdale; I have neurological issues and will be seeking treatment at Mayo Clinic.
I am open to areas more southernly, but am concerned about increasing heat/dust or something else I've not considered having just passed through Phoenix briefly as a kid. I remember liking Tucson more but that was a long time ago.
I know the air quality and urban heat island issues are bad wherever there are people in the state, but I'm trying to find a location close to the city but far enough away that those are less of an issue. I should be relocated within 6mo
I can't take Portland anymore. Price or craziness.
North Scottsdale is your best bet to be close to your clinic
stay east of 40th st. There is an area of northeast phoenix that has scottsdale zip codes but is in phoenix city limit. Check out the desert ridge area if you want to be really close.
Mayo is in N. Scottsdale, lots of great housing, and facilities all around. Also Honors Hospital one of the best is just 5 miles on Loop 101.
You could even look at Cave Creek.
Fountain Hills is another option.
Do Wickenburg, please
lots of horse 💩
Why isn’t Sierra Vista ever mentioned and surrounded area. Patagonia. It’s my favorite place Huachuca mntn range. Carr canyon. Brown canyon area. Etc.
Good list except the last place.
Sedona ❤❤❤
Yuma Arizona !
Prescott Valley
Fountain Hills
How good is verrido?
I've been looking into benson. Any info from anyone would be helpful
Water problems.
@@sewitaliano7423 how about the people? Drug addiction? Homeless? Crime? Getting info online is one thing.
What about Douglas, AZ, GreaT CITY . Not cheap
Go to the point
Any walkable towns in AZ? All I see are roads.
Is it Tucson safe?
Why not a mention for Safford? Show Low? Serria Vista? Page? Wilcox? Hummmmmmmmmmmmm???
Kingman AZ
Was looking at Kingman and it looks so dry and desolate, crime and drugs are high.
8what 's about Payson?
Thanks for the great video. I'm moving from California to Sedona. Enjoy Arizona as much as California but the Golden State is getting a bit too crowded and my $$ go much further regarding buying up real estate in Arizona.
Welcome to Arizona just please do not bring any liberal progressive mindset here. We like it the way it is and we do not want those horrible policies ruining our great state.
Apache junction is a bad town in Arizona?
I don't understand why you left off maryvale
Is that how they pronounce 'verde' in Arizona? Because that's a big 🚩
I have an aunt that lives down in Serra Vista. She loves it there. Personally prefer the area around Williams.
Poor thing! That's such a horrible place to live.
@@markazist We visited there for a couple of days. I wasn't all that impressed. But my aunt loves it there. I just chalked it up to my not really being fan of the desert.
I really like it there!
