You need an SWR meter to verify that the ABBREE antenna it's better than the original one, in VHF the original one aren't so bad ,,about 1.8 SWR but in UHF,,,are so different
Today I took the trouble to test a total of 7 different firmwares for the new UV-K5(99). The original one didn't suit me, still a lot of incompletions. IJV_V3.13. suited my needs, but there were occasional freezing of the radio. The best I have tried so far today is exumer_v0.22. I thought I would stick with it, but I discovered its superstructure created 2 weeks ago f4hwn.2.4. Satisfaction!! 😃👍
Would be nice to hear difference between this egzumer and baofeng uv5-rh. Kindly please. Or if you can describe with your worlds if Egzumer or Baofeng 5RH has better clarity.
@axi6ne8us yeah that radio control is not intuitive, and with custom FW it becomes something that you need to learn and memorize… I would say stay with Egzumer

Hi, yes EGZUMER FW wins! But Ill install the chip mod and try out IJV (for moded uvk5) and hope it stays good.

IJV is better. Has power level adjustment, more bandwidths and gain settings, but you give up precise battery monitoring and the spectrum analyzer.
IJV will go in with chip upgrade

@@axi6ne8us Never have flashed egzumer, but I've heard it is easier to use than IJV. IJV took me awhile to figure out.
