It’s so rare for a song to replace something in my top ten. What a track, such a beautifully melancholic melody and the lyrics do me every time I hear it.
We had to give my family dog of 13 years the last act of kindness today and this song perfectly encompasses how I feel. Gut wrenching but a love worth having.
Besides losing my dad, having to do the same with two pets has been the hardest things I’ve been through, and, at almost 40, I’ve been through some things.
some years ago I heard her for the first time on the belgian Radio1 on a program about singers with a disabilty and I was immediately blown away... everytime I hear this song the shivers go down my spine I ordered her CD shortly after and played it several times nevertheles tastes differ: my husband does not like her voice, it hurts his ears he says normally we have the same taste in music but about Gaelynn we disagree ;o) so I play it (on repeat) when he is not at home!
