    I just tried this car today (sandero comfort 91PS with CVT), I just çan confirm what has been said here: not perfect for sure, but so much of a car for so little money. Fact. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭.

    We have the 2018 Stepway, since new. It's been trouble free, and a great little car. I see the Which magazine just rated Dacia the 2nd most reliable brand after Lexus.

    This is the best and most informative review I've seen on this car. No over the top, self-aware presentation, just tell it like it is! Someone commented that the power steering is too light. I did wonder about that when I saw another reviewer turning the wheel with practically only one finger.

    Tail lights are normal bulbs, not LEDs but they still look nice.

    • @ysjmichael
      @ysjmichael 2 года назад

      I am very concerned about some style-over-substance tail light designs, those skinny LED indicators are completely masked by direct sunlight or the brake light. So I'm no fan of LED tail lights.

    Everything about the car is clearly built to cut as much costs as possible, the dash buttons, fuel cap and little detail is lacking however that isn't surprising as it retails in 2021 for less than most cars did 10 years ago. To me the Essential trim makes the most sense, DAB radio, body coloured bumpers and AC is "sufficient" as you don't really need the toys of the top spec. Add too much onto the price and the car possibly loses it's relevance. I might even consider one if my daily dies on me, it's a good 4 years of trouble free motoring on PCP if you add an extra year of warranty on top of the manufacturer's one and it's long term reliability is irrelevant as you'll be giving it back after the contract. Worth thinking about anyway.

      I bought a Stepway in 2018 and have had absolutely no trouble with it. I have now chopped it in for a new model Sandero, which should be delivered at the end of November. Dacia's are one of the best car brands for depreciation in the UK, and a perfectly acceptable family runabout, and to get to work and back in. The 90 Tce turbo engine is great on the motorway too.

    The setpway is exactly the same size as the normal model, it's just a little higher and has different front and back bumpers, and comes with roof bars and a plastic door trim on the outside. The inside of the setpway is 100% identical to the normal car, you just sit a little higher because it has a SUV like height (bigger ground clearance)

  • @tommyhallows
    @tommyhallows 2 года назад

    Some of these reviews do not show justice for the cars cheapness. Yes. They are a bargain but the £8k model is very limited! I wanted one but due to eygpt and COVID there was a 7mth wait. I needed a car there and then. So went for 18 plate second hand stepway. All is good.

      And higher ride height

    • @Tom-sg4iv
      @Tom-sg4iv 3 года назад +1

      @@tentifr yeah 4cm, but to be avoided according to reviews unless you live at the end of a dirt road. The standard version should be a nicer ride comfort.

    • @the-real-iandavid
      @the-real-iandavid 3 года назад +2

      @@Tom-sg4iv As I'm down-sizing from a Citroën Relay van, I did find the normal Sandero a bit low when I took both out for a test drive, and I have to say that I felt the extra height of the Stepway was noticeable (but it may have been an illusion 😊).
      I drove both cars along the same stretch of pothole-ridden road, and I didn't notice any difference in the ride comfort.
      I've ordered a Stepway Prestige Automatic, which is scheduled to arrive in the next 6 to 8 weeks.

    A very good review, this car does indeed represent outstanding value for money,I have driven a Sandero for nearly 5 years so I can attest to the above.The reviewer also did an excellent job explaining the most relevant details that a prospective buyer would want to know.

    i wonder why dacia decided not to include the ON/OFF button for the parking sensors in some markets. I have a fully specced sandero stepway with front and rear sensors, camera, blind spot assist and my car doesn't have that button

  • @greenmoose_

    You did a really nice job of actually showing the functionality of a lot of features other reviews just gloss over - great video! I actually ordered a new Sandero last week as something of an impulse buy so have been scouring the internet for information on how the thing actually works in the real world! Just little things like knowing that start/stop button is on the left of the steering wheel are surprisingly useful to me, thanks!!

    I've just ordered the comfort bi fuel 100ps slate grey today. I hope i will get it before next summer. The lead time is between 5 to 8 months. I've looked on eBay and the price of a used one is more than what I've agreed to pay. 700£ deposit today and 12000 later when the car is received by the the dealer. I was told that the price will increase in 9 days.

      @@soundbeans yes i got it last month. It drives well and feels good but the 3 cylinder engine feels a bit shaky when idling like all 3 cylinder cars. You could feel the vibrations on the steering wheel. It's smooth when the revs are over 1500rpm though.

    Does the new Sandero have the option for Automatic Climate Control in the UK, as apposed to Manual Climate Control? I have seen many videos with the Sandero that shows it has Automatic Climate Control. But have not seen this option in any of the UK models. They have all been Manual Climate Control. Makes the interia look vey cheap
