Got this one and indeed I dislike the soft plastic. Thing come undone pretty easily. LS-09 is still me Ironhide of choice due to its sturdiness… thanks for the great review. Any news on a sterner release of this mold?
I agree .. the plastic is weird... But I like the look of this version better than the LS-09..mostly due to the chest wheels not folding up properly.. but that's just my opinion. Haven't heard of any other release of this mold .. but ya never know
Just got it, the transformation is so awesome, but yeah i didnt know about the rubber and soft plastic parts until i got it in my hands, its quite worrying because its not as durable as hard plastic, but hey atleast it got the most accurate transformstion and great engineering
I just opened up my figure and he looks really amazing, but I had a quick question and figured you might know how to answer it. In robot mode, I noticed the bars that his shoulders are connected to kind of just move around underneath the truck hood/chest pieces. Is there anything that should be locking the whole wheel/shoulder assembly in?
My problem is the back wheels. The hip guards that just swivel close after the gun is placed in are too low so the wheels don't even touch the ground. Any tips?
@@superrobotreviews Mine also arrived today. Compared to the original, do you think it's better and worth? (I feels it's great, and the design overshadows the plastic part. I don't mind it as hard plastic materials tend to scath and graze my skin alot (They do feel more solid and sturdy, not to say they're bad). Unless that messes with the posability, its acceptable.)
Yeah, it's not that it's "cheap" he actually has decent weight to him. It's just a softer type of plastic. It's not really an issue, it's thick and he doesn't feel like he's ever going to break, but I can see some people not liking it. For me, the pros outweigh the cons. As for QC, I haven't had any issues. Everything fits well, it's solid, for the strange "vinyl" like material used, and it came with everything. And as far as the die-cast, mine doesn't have any blemishes or anything that really sticks out as bad. It adds nice weight to the figure.
Technically it did come with instructions, they just didn't bother to tell you. That big ol' QR code on the front of the box? Yeah, if you scan it, it takes you to a website on how to transform him, but since you're already here. It's a moot point. They really should have included paper instructions imo. 😂
See, I don't want people to get the wrong idea about the plastic. It's flexible yeah, but it's pretty sturdy too. It's not "bad" just very strange decision. And I think I know why they did it. No matter how many times I transform him, he never feels like he's going to break, and clearance is never really an issue, but you definitely have to go around and "squeeze" everything into place a few times during the process. It's really one of those, you might like it, you might not, kind of things. For me, personally, I think the pros outweigh the cons. And if your just gonna put him on a shelf, he's amazing looking in both modes.
@@shawndashno6022 I agree totally... I love this figure but yes, the plastic is weird ... Maybe more figures will come out using this plastic to prevent breakage. I still recommend.
Best iron hide black apple 😳👍
Yessir!
Just got this figure. Thank you!
Glad to help.

Yeah .. it's not horrible .. just very different. And yes the engineering is awesome!!

no, they redesigned that part to eliminate them floppy shoulders. works nice now.

Yeah you have to make sure the cannon is pushed in all the way. Then the 2 hip pieces can fold inward and the tires will roll
Bravo!
How is the plastic on this one, I've heard it's soft and "cheap" - is that so? What about the QC and Die Cast as well?
It's like a soft vinyl type. Very odd and weird.

I got this figure and transformed it for the first time watching your video. Mine didnt come with instructions.....not sure if thats how they all come
Yeah.. no instructions come with this figure. Glad to help!

Well maybe one day another company can produce a black Apple designed Ironhide and use regular plastic instead of this more flexible one
Maybe.. would be cool to compare the 2
There is indeed another company that bought this design drawing. But I don't know who it is
@@yang62696 yeah weijiang was going to release a version. But they were shut down before they could release it

Seems like you missed a few steps.
Also not integrating his cannons makes the truck look better.
Oh what did I miss? Are there more cool steps? Lmk... yeah leaving the cannons off does help.
