I got mine yesterday, and i agree with the plastic complaints, I can't really complain about the articulation, as I've seen others commenting on. And thats because he is so damn close to the on screen appearance that you quickly realize, if these things actually existed, they would be hulking bits of steel barely able to move at all lol, and definitely not like they do in the movie. He still looks badass though!
Absolutely. Squat is definitely how I'd describe him. Still, he looks great from all angles. And I do like the "hydraulic" feet, or at least the engineering behind it. Not horrible for $100. Well, that's what I paid over at ShowZ. Edit: I just wanted to ask, I'm sure it's the same, but his "thumb", mine only swivels, he can't do a "thumbs up," without rotating it around all weird. Is yours the same?
@@superrobotreviews Yeah I thought so. Not that it's a big deal, just a strange way to make the thumb lol. Thanks for the replies man, keep on cranking out that content.
I should be getting this figure tomorrow, but i found your humor much appreciated lol. Its great seeing your unique personality emerge throughout the video. Watching the video again currently as you are the only English channel who has the figure on hand. Absolutely thank you for the video and comparions, great content!
I got my figure last saturday and he's great but yeah I been waiting for english reviews and transformation videos. :) Still blows my mind a bit how they made this figure so accurate in both modes AND able to store all his weapons, including his huge cannons within the truck. :O
@@carn9507 added a transformation video... He's a tough one for sure, bit not the worst... Careful of the paint on the cannon that goes in the cab .. I had paint flaking off... And one of the wheel clips came loose... So watch out. I agree.. he's a good looking TF fo sho.
@@superrobotreviews It's one of my favourites, too. Have you seen the Buster Prime version? It has better paint, more chrome and the fuel tanks transform into a gun.
This is confusing. In this video ratchet T11 is bigger than Ironhide whereas other videos show he's just as big as ironhide. Something to do with the legs not fully stretched??
Thank you! Very helpful since I have no intention of transforming to vehicle mode. The only thing stopping me is the head looks too big. Any thoughts on this?
@@gregfam6250 yeah, he's a pain to transform... I hear they are re-releasing him using a stronger plastic... Not sure when tho.. head does seem a tad large as well ..
For some reason one of the cannons doesn't peg into the hand on my copy. It's like the tab slots on my figure are two different sizes so one gun cannot peg in.
I was gonna order it but paint peeling and other issues. Eh. If not this one who makes the best ironhide? I bought a cheap baiwei, he’s not the easiest to transform either
The only paint I had chip off was some silver paint from one of the cannons .. as it's a very flexible piece... And was scraping as I was fitting it inside the vehicle. The rest of the figure is fine. I still gotta get the Bai wei Ironhide.
The skits/comedy are… uhhh… regrettable, but your review is decent otherwise. The legs on this figure seem pretty limited in their range of movement. Would love too a more in depth view of what can be done at the hips and other joints.
Yeah, the humor is a matter of taste for sure. Lol. I'm sure Emgo will have a great review of this guy. It's a great looking figure . Thanks for the feedback
Mine came in today, not impressed with the inability to tab the lower leg panels securely, nor the weak joints, nor the fact that the shoulder and chest pieces all feel loose and flop around l, also, the omission of LED's in the cannons, that the predecessor that this is supposed to be superior to, is a fairly important regression IMHO. Havent transformed, it doesnt help that the bot that i transformed before this was G-Creation Wrath Grimlock. Also, plastic seems of lower quality and really has an overpowering chemical smell. Its as though this was someones very first transformer design. Cant recommend.
Totally understand. The non tabbing lower leg parts are annoying I agree, and I do miss the cannon LEDs . For a display piece you can get this, for a more playable figure you can get the LS-09 OS ironhide...

@carn9507 yes! Exactly. The figure looks so much better in person, and feels great. No issues with me

they are about the same size about 9" tall. probably just the perspective of some of the photos.

strange...does it matter which gun in which hand?
The battery is CR927 not LR44.

Is this a better buy than the Black Mamba version? Very detailed review.
I like the movie accurate look of this one... However, the black mamba version is bigger and is more durable...
