The stupid thing about this figure is that the amount of transformation steps is actually pretty simple, but the clearance issues and lack of proper tabbing makes it 100x harder to transform. I spend 95% of the time trying to align everything as opposed to actually transforming.........

My fingers are sore from trying to transform this figure for over an hour, and I still haven’t been able to line everything up at the front and top of the truck mode, the fact that you were able to do this while filming the entire time is an incredible accomplishment
And everything snapped in pretty much 1st try also lol
This is why they sell it while in robot mode
@AUSTIN DEMAS I did it. Fun tip.......... do the side panels for the doors and the windows first before doing the front, when u do that everything lines up for the most part.

With this one not so much but Jazz killed my fingertips. Ironhide did stress me out because the damned front section just didn't want to close properly. I found a small tab on the table so something broke with all the force I applied... no idea from where yet. Once I get it back to robot mode, that's how it will spend the rest of his days on display.
8:58 you can also use those pegs to lock the shoulders in robot mode by lifting the GMC's front and plugging the wheel in those pegs which end up under his chest
Was suffering for 2.5 hours with trying to put the hood together. Eventually gave up after not being able to take tabbing something in and the other thing untabbing. Pissed me off to no end, just gonna have it in robot mode forever, hasbro needs to make a 2.0 version of this figure where it has more than 2 tabs on it
Ok, I broke both side rear view mirrors, but I finally made it back to truck mode. Hardest transformation ever.
I just got Ratchet last week and i have all the first movie Autobots in vehicle modes, so now i have to what i have dreaded for years....transform Ironhide....WHAT A NIGHTMARE....tried it several times can not get it to work, either the sides do not plug in or the hood just won't click together, worst MP in my opinion, we need a 2.0.
I broke the side door while trying to transform it back to the pickup truck. Left a white hairline crack. I then used a black permanent marker to cover that white line.
The front wheels are so springy that it doesn't keep straight when the truck was placed on the table. 😞 Design is not that friendly. Good luck people.

How the hell do you get the hood to tab together? The two big grey tabs are fighting me and seem to be there JUST to inhibit the transformation
this figure was unnecessarily hard to transform
An absolute nightmare to transform. Been working on it for 3 days now. Hands won't tuck in correctly. Hood doesn't connect. Front wheels keep flapping inward. Horrible. Even worst than Barricade and Bee.
F--- Ironhide. Every one of them. MPM, BMB, BA... they're all a nightmare.
MPM is "easiest" of the lot, BMB 2nd, Black Apple is next to impossible!! I don't ever want to put myself thru this again!
My figure must have some sort of defect cause even after using this video and following it to a T, i was still unable to get the front of the truck to compress together. Also my arms are so loose on my copy it might as well be a string holding his cannons on to his shoulders.
For the first time in 2 years I was finally able to somewhat transformer it into truck, I've watched hundreds of your review videos but never a JTI. I never knew you do Robot to Vehicle until you told me
You should’ve checked them out to see what the JTI was all about. You could’ve gotten him transformed sooner lol

Good job, man. I realize some people have gotten some bum copies of this figure...but I think there would be a larger number of happy customers if only everyone treated them with the patience and attention to detail that you do. After watching your videos on this guy, my opinion has gone from disappointed to optimistic. I do not own this one yet...but thanks to reviews like yours, I might just pull the trigger on him.
i thought exactly the same until i actually bought him. this thing isnt a transformers. its a fucking puzzle. Without a doubt the most frustrating thing i have ever done in my life.

I really don't know if i should collect mpm or studio series figures. The SS lines are great, the prices are okay, and it's not complicated. Mpm in love the accuracy, but it's expensive and complicated. I like complicated transformations but if it ends up flopping all over the place, it's not worth it. Tho i might give it a chance
You know the fix for his arms is out. There is a tab under the tire/wheel and it tabs to his shoulder so it doesn’t move.... just saying...

I just snapped the clear plastic tab off the left windshield piece trying to get this piece of sh*t transformed. You’re instructions are good, and make it look easy, but it’s not. Now, where’s the aspirin!!

Transformation step at 6:17 where the hood pieces twist from the angle that they were on the chest to straight simply does not rotate on my copy. It feels like there's almost like threadloc on the metal piece its so tight and it has absolutely no give. Only the one side, the other side twists absolutely fine. Any suggestions for it to give?

Holy hell I just got this figure and what everyone says is true this thing is a pile of junk, a really good looking pile of junk but you can only polish a turd so much. My figures left shoulder is fine with transformation but won’t properly tag in, the Right shoulder is the complete opposite won’t transform properly but has 0 issues tabbing in
